I really believe that if the actors had filmed OaO first, they would have been able to portray their characters in FaE better. Acting the part and feeling all the pain and suffering from their FaE would have better prepped them to convey these feelings for the modern version. The payoff would have probably been much stronger this way.

I have to agree with you. I can already imagine the upcoming bed scene giving us some bs shots. I for one cannot truly feel the love of the intimacy without the kiss scenes. The angle kisses, lip double and shadow kisses will not cut. No way š

I agree with you. Tbh I found novel version ZSC a bit too boring and unrealistic. Heās portrayed as very gentlemanly and more confident but I feel like that type of character is kind of too tropey. I love drama version ZSC because I feel itās much more realistic and relatable.

Every soul that pasts through the bridge of forgetfulness has to drink the soup before they go on to reincarnate. The soup is to make them forget their memories of the past life. Shi Yi in the novel refused to drink it so thatās why when she reincarnated, she still has memories of ZSC and past life.

Maybe Iām the only one, but I actually really like ZSC hesitance and awkwardness in this drama version. You can really understand from Ren Jialunās acting that ZSC is really inexperienced when it comes to dating/girls etc. You can tell that with his lack of experience, heās trying to do everything right so he goes by the book. Itās just so funny and adorable. Itās quite refreshing, really. I think RJL did such a great job as it is so different from his past roles.

I thought itās implied that she already has knowledge of her past life since she still references moments from it. I know in the novel, she didnāt drink the soup from Old lady Meng and that was the reason why she remembered ZSC and her past life. They didnāt mention it in the drama but I think itās implied
