I love how this drama has been written and wished the drama had been received better when it first released. Because really, the storytelling and writing had been quite masterful and it's a shame that the drama received so much hate by some just because of the fact they did not like Suzy in this drama. Still, considering the drama still won quite a number of awards despite that, I guess things still turned out well.

And it's a shame really, that some people could not see beyond their bias of her and view this drama's great writing with fairness. While some may argue that some of the cute acting from Suzy to be unbearable, I personally feel that all the cuteness were justified. I mean, considering how Hongjoo's character had the ability to see glimpses of future events in her dreams it made sense how she ended up being trying too hard to get him to like him or having too much imaginations regarding her relationship with Jaechan. Like she already saw much of the things that will happen in the future, how else can she pretend to be clueless about it? Regardless, I love how the relationship of the two naturally progress throughout the drama.

Through Pinocchio and I can Hear Your Voice, I grew to be really fond of the writer's writing. As usual of her writing style, I love how the relationship between Hongjoo, Jaechan and Wootak was quite healthy and normal and not overly dramatic for the sake of appealing to cliche triangle romance tropes and how even for the minor characters their story was written well. And I love how the story was quite balanced between the main trio and the way they ended up having precognitive dreams on each other was explained well.

I like how the flashback scenes were timed and paced really well in the drama. While initially the flashbacks may seem to be random but as the story goes on, all the pieces started to come together like a piece of a big puzzle. I quite like the way the backstories were positioned in a way it directly connects to the corrent plot. I have to sat that the writing of this drama and connections were really done well to the point you'd want to keep rewatching to see how all the hints connects to make up into a bigger picture. I really love the drama and loving the choice of the casting. It was perfect!

Started watching the drama because of Oguri Shun, not to mention that the setting of the story is pretty interesting. It's an intriguing take to be honest, a mystery and detective drama involving one who could see and talk to the dead.

The cases were also interesting as well, and it was amazing how the cases ended up connecting to each other and how as Ango began to get used to his new-found ability his life began to spiral more towards the dark side.

While the manga gave clear hints as to why and how Ango was able to see the recently dead and talk to them, I like how the drama didn't outright explain it to the viewer because in doing that we're also learning more about Ango's ability as he realise it and allowing us to relate more to Ango as a person. And I love how the drama's tone was much more serious compared to the manga.

Love the soundtrack and how the main theme could convey many different emotions from Ango depending on the seriousness of the cases that he faced. Great writing as well as execution, I wished that there's more episodes for the drama just so I could continue seeing Ishikawa Ango a little bit longer.

Soohyuk finally playing a lead character!!!!

I told myself I'm gonna support the hell outta any new show if Soohyuk gets a lead role and lo! This mini-drama exist!!

Overall, the drama has great storytelling. It was a great concept to have the mini drama to focus on Wobeun, a deity who has been dispelled from Heaven, being tasked to make clothes for humans in order to console them. It was interesting to see him slowly changing in his views towards humans and how he; with his powers, would help heal the emotional wounds of his customers who came to him to ask him to make clothes for them as he learned more about human emotions.

It was quite a heartwarming and healing story as we get to see from Wobeun's POV, as he tried to understand the humans coming to his shop and to learn how to become more emphathetic. And because the episodes were really short, the plot wasn't bogged down by unnecessary side plots and drama that might distract viewers from the main focus which was Wobeun trying to help heal people with his special abilities. Though, while that itself was good... I wished that the mini drama could've gone for a bit longer since I really love this story between Wobeun and Sarang and want to see more of it. Well, the ending did provide a possible reason for a proper kdrama sequel so who knows?

It's been a while since I watched this drama and ended up rewatching it again as KBS World was currently reairing it. In which I used to recall comparing it with Good Doctor back then due to similar plot setting. As in a medical drama focusing on a special doctor having a special condition that might be beneficial or perhaps dangerous. In Good Doctor it was Park Sion who has Savant syndrome while in this drama it was Lee Jeongo who due to an incident in the past was rendered unable to feel any emotions and was called a psychopath. In both cases, the doctors gain an interest in pursuing medicine and end up becoming somewhat a genius later on. Yet, because of their conditions it made it a bit risky to allow them to operate on patients since they would not be able to understand the limits one should be allowed to pursue.

In that sense, this drama pose an interesting question. Could someone who exhibit traits of a psychopath could be allowed to treat people as a doctor. Could someone like Lee Yeongo learn to emphatize with his patients; despite his conditions, in order to become a good doctor? As the drama unfolds from start to finish, we'll get to see how Jeongo start to learn to sympathize with the help of Gye Jinsung and overcome his disabilities to become a better doctor.

It's a nice adaptation.

Every time there's a Japanese adaptation of a Korean drama I'm always interested. Especially if it's a drama that I really like. Voice 110 was like that.

Overall, the Jdrama really stayed true to the original while injecting a localized Japanese flavour to the original story. Since usually the renzoku format of most Jdramas are shorter than the usual lengths of an average kdrama, initially I was concerned whether or not the Jdrama could fully integrate most of the original plot and conclude it nicely. Turned out that I didn'treally need to worry about that.

For viewers already familiar with the original Voice, watching the Japanese adaptation may feel redundant since you should already know most of the big twists and reveals. Not to mention how some of the more gruesome cases/scenes from the original may not be included or changed. But honestly, this Jdrama may still intrigue you still since there would be some plot points that may happen in a slightly different way compared to the Kdrama due to the shorter run.

While the Jdrama may not be as brutal and graphic as the original, the drama still manage to give quite an emotional ride. Not to mention you may end up finding easter eggs paying homage to the original kdrama at an unexpected moment.

To be honest at first glance, I didn’t expect to take a liking to the story. The initial introduction to the plot was quite odd; like who'd think a story that somehow reference a relationship between two classical music composers had any relationship to these set of music student characters in the drama? But then I ended up watching the drama anyway and couldn't help becoming drawn towards the conflicts of the two main characters.

I wouldn't say that this is the best drama of the year that focused on the world of classical music, but the drama did give quite a heartwarming story about the struggles and hardships that could be faced by the characters in the drama. While there may be some parts that might be exaggerated too much or a bit cringy, the rest of the drama fared well enough that one may overlook the excessive parts.

For once I'm not bothered too much about the many references relating to the relationship between Brahms, Schumann and Clara, nor the many musical analogies that was present in this drama. I mean, considering the drama dealt with musical students, musical prodigies and people working behind the scenes of the classical music industry, it would've made sense for them to try relating their personal experiences to the past figures in classical music. Since the musicians in the drama would've spent most of their times practicing to become Ling Lings and wouldn't have a lot of exposure to things that didn't have much to do with classical music.

To wrap it up, I ended up growing fond of the characters in the drama. In a way, it's an interesting story about the lives of musical students who may feel insecure about their futures, as well as a (perhaps) one-sided relationship one may have with the things or people that they loved.

So far I'm getting the vibe of Gu Family Book and Along with the Gods with a twist of modern setting from the drama. Which is quite an interesting combination that sets the drama apart from a lot of past dramas involving gumiho or nine-tailed foxes.

Lee Dongwook as Lee Yeon gave us quite an interesting character that occassionally reminds us to Goblin's Grimreaper, which can be quite endearing to watch. Kim Bum as Lee Rang at first glance so far gave an impression that he'd be an interesting villain.

The drama so far do still give homage to many of Korean mythological creatures besides gumiho while also giving us a hint of mystery. It'll be interesting to see what the plot of Tale of the Nine-tailed will show us next.

Loves this drama so much

Been wanting to watch this drama for so long and am so glad I could finally finish watching this. Not just because of Kim Namgil but also because the drama's focusing on Heo Im. Like there's lots of dramas that had a different take on Heo Jun but this one's had Heo Jun as support role.

That said, I like the concept of the drama since this is like the opposite of the theme from JIN (or Dr Jin for the Korean adaptation) so that's an interesting pov. Love the focus on oriental medicine versus modern medicine as you see from the clash between Heo Im and Yeongyeong, where the two eventuality ended up learning about each other and how different their two worlds was.

Kim Namgil as Heo Im was quite an endearing character with his silly and serious side. Not to mention how his path became twisted along the way and after meeting Yeongyeong he started on a journey to recover his true self as a doctor.

I love the fact that the drama not only just focusing on Heo Im, but also Yeongyeong and all the other people around them. And how as both Heo Im and Yeongyeong started learning about each other and became better doctors because of it, and that their changes also affect the people around them as the rest of them also try to be the better versions of themselves. And I love how from beginning to the end the drama continued to remind ourselves to 'live up to our names'.

This is already my favourite Kdrama featuring a Psychopath character.

A story about a psychopath... who ended up having a family and having to try to hide his horrid past. Well, by that premise alone the story already promised to be an interesting story. And it did exceed all my expectations on what a well-written drama about a good person who happened to be a psychopath could be.

A psychopath person, yet also being a son of a serial killer. But contrary to the first impression, it turned out that despite his disorder the main character turned out to be innocent of any crimes and was, in fact, a victim. This was a setting that quite a number of other Kdramas had tried to tackle. The most recent kdrama that comes to mind would be Born Again, but unlike the former, Flower of Evil had a better grasp on the kind of plot that it wants to convey. By the way the series writing had portrayed Baek Heeseong/Do Hyunsu in giving him a dual characteristic of being a psychopath while also showing a sympathetic side of the character, that alone was already much better written than anything that was ever shown in Born Again's Gong Jicheol. You'll want to know more about Do Hyunsu's story as he tried to live a somewhat normal life and trying to protect the peaceful life he had even when it was based on a lie. Which could be hard considering that he was a wanted man as well as having a wife who happened to be part of the task force that was in charge of capturing him. Watching Hyunsu on the journey to find the real accomplice to a murder and clear his name had been quite an experience. And it gave me pleasure in seeing how fitting the conclusion has been as everything was finally put back to where it belonged.

Personally, this was something that I wished (the secondary writer of) Born Again could have given to the viewers and I'm glad that Flower of Evil was able to do just that. And just for that one reason, Flower of Evil had that healing effect to me as the drama gave me a satisfying experience and conclusion which make all of the frustrations and disappointment caused by the awful conclusion of Born Again much more bearable.

That said, I really love how well this drama had been written; not just for the main pair and their daughter but also of the supporting and guest characters... as well as the main antagonist. Seriously if you want to see a drama that'll grab your attention from start to finish then give this drama a go. Like YES, if you're looking for a drama where you WANT to love the psychopath character (and feeling justified to do so) then look no further.

Have to say that this drama was a blessing in more than one way. It's sweet, heart-wrenching, funny, exciting... and you can't help loving (almost) every character whether they are of the good side or bad ones. And it's also a drama that reunites Kim Namgil and Lee Honey ever since their last drama together which was Shark aka Don't Look Back: The Legend of Orpheus. And have to say, that their chemistry was as good and even better together.

I love the fact that as much as the series does have a fair share of serious plot from the beginning till the end, there was also a good amount of comedy slipped in between to balance everything out. And while it might not be related, I find it refreshing that this drama somewhat broke the 'tradition' that almost always happen to any serious themed Kdrama that Kim Namgil starred it. As in, his characters ending up dying in the end. (Well, I'm not counting his role as Heo Im since that one was of a completely different genre. But then again, I might as well count Heo Im as well since he did still end up dying a lot of times in the series anyway.) While Hae-il isn't your usual revenge-driven character that Kim Namgil often play, he does have quite a bit of his own dark past that clouded his present life. And because of that, you can't help finding similarities to Kim Namgil's past characters. So yes, I'm really happy to see Kim Namgil character surviving the end of their series lol. Cos seriously, most of his characters that have serious plot always end up dead in the end. The ones that didn't were usually those that are quite comedic. Live up to Your Name was a good example.

I first got to know of Lee Honey from Shark, and as much as I love both her and KNG's characters in Shark; their love relationship was mostly one-sided. Yet I still love the two of them together in this drama as they did have great chemistry together. In which, seeing them together again in this drama was great. Even if their characters still didn't end up together, they do still work well together. Honestly, I love how much Kim Hae-il and Park Gyeongseon work well together and how much the two of them really care about each other. In which in the end, influenced their choices and paths of life. Gu Daeyoung's character also turned out to be quite endearing as well. While at first, he started as a comedic character being paired up with Hae-il, bit by bit he started to change due to Hae-il's influence.

I truly love the writing of the drama; and how some of the tiny pieces of seemingly unrelated details in the drama would somehow turn out to be important later on. The writing was very solid with serious and dark themes while also occasionally make us laugh at the most unexpected situation. This drama is definitely one that I'd want to watch and rewatch all over again for the lovely plot as well as the endearing characters.

Since this is Joo Won's first kdrama since his military enlistment I'm pretty excited to see how the drama will unfold. So far, Joo Won's character in Alice reminded me a bit of his character in Good Doctor, in which due to the circumstances of their birth they ended up living a life quite different than other people. Seeing Joo Won's performance in Good Doctor made me curious as to how he'll play Jin Gyeom and it was indeed interesting to see how much Jin Gyeom had grown throughout the series.

This drama had the theme of mystery and detective drama, added with time travel. While the detective theme at first appeared to be main thing that moves the plot of the story, eventually the scifi part starts to kick in and we can see how the time travel aspect with influence the story. And indeed, as the story moves forward we can see how the past, present and future started to mix together. It was interesting to see the drama dealt with the problem of paradox involving people from different points of time meeting each other at different stages of their lives. To which, it might end up very confusing for people who aren't quite used to the scifi genre, especially ones that involves time travel. In before I start quoting Doctor Who but I won't.

While some may have trouble watching some parts of the episodes due to the impression they may have regarding the doubtful relationship between Taeyi and Jin Gyeom, it may help a bit if one stayed open-minded while watching the drama by not immediately assuming that every single melodramatic scene in the drama to be a romantic one. Since the drama will involve a lot of paradoxes as people from past and future inevitably gonna cross each other's path, some emotional scenes may not be as straightforward as it appears. And love can be of any type aside from romantic feelings, so its better to not be so quick to assume the relationship that we see in the drama. Not to mention that we do have a character who had a disability in that he was not able to recognise emotions and understanding the meaning of said emotions.

As a scifi drama that dealt with time travel and parallel drama, I have to say that the plot of Alice was quite decent. While there are some parts that were still left vague and not executed well, overall it wasn't that bad a drama. With genre like this, it helps to have no high expectations and be open-minded to the many unexpected outcomes resulting from the timey-wimey.

Surprise! I actually liked and enjoyed this movie.

Gonna lay this out first. If you're expecting Peninsular to go exactly as Train to Busan did, you might as well go rewatch the first movie and not have your high expectations be dashed. If you dived into this movie without any set expectations you might surprise yourself to realise that you actually enjoyed this movie. I mean, I watched this in the cinema and regardless of how much CGI had been used in this movie compared to Busan, I haven't even had time to think about that. Because yes, the movie was quite fast-paced but it was exactly due to that what made any kinds of CGI barely noticeable.

I mean face it, the setting was four years after the escape to Busan. And even then, the situation was already chaotic. And the setting for the movie was focused on the other surviving people who had to try to escape the zombies by other ways BESIDES taking the KTX to Busan. Certainly, you can't expect the situation to unfold exactly the same as the people on that particular train. And the story still has a similar theme; how fear and desperation will affect the people trying to escape from the virus that will turn you into an undead. And what'll happen when the efforts to curb the zombie pandemic did not show any results as other nations decide to abandon the people still trapped in the zombie-ridden country because they find it pointless to help an already fallen country?

And to be honest, this isn't the first zombie movie that does use CGI for some of the zombies (like seriously, you don't run actual people down with high-speed cars so how else you wanna film THAT correctly?) and that never stopped people from enjoying movies like Silent Hill or Resident Evil. Heck, I enjoyed this movie a whole lot better from Rampant and that's saying something. Besides... I love all the Fast & Furious parts. That was fun. It's so fun that I felt like screaming in fear but it's still fun. And it's amazing how the survivors made use of the sensitivities to light and sound to try to divert the zombies around in order to make their escape. And of course like in Busan, there ARE assholes in this movie as well. More than a bunch of selfish assholes to make good people's lives harder just to survive. And we do get a great climatic 'battle' near the end. And we also got an unexpected plot twist just as hope seemed to be lost near the end of the movie. So all in all, this movie is good in my book.

Having watched quite a number of movies under the Ju-On title, I was intrigued at the idea of the movie series being presented in drama form. And to be honest, I can't help having a mixed feeling about this series.

Like there were some parts of the story that I wish could be expanded longer and there were some parts I felt better off not being focused too much on. Like the whole sexual violence plot that was going on with Kiyomi's plot and how she ended up being hypersexual afterwards and the whole thing about her mum's story, which was never really properly laid out. And then there was Haruka's part of the story with the journalist guy who ended up writing lots of paranormal books based on the cursed house; in which it turned out that the guy did actually have his own connection towards the cursed house which tied into few other different couples who also ended up being consumed by the curse and everything ended up going full circle. All these different pieces of the plot, different people and families, while learning more on how their lives ended up being embroiled into the curse of the house; could have made to be quite an interesting story had it also used all of the storytelling mechanics that the past Ju-On movies had incorporated but unfortunately it didn't. Because of that, as in the lack of clear transition (in which all Ju-On movies had used) between all of the separate storylines, made the whole drama series to end up quite confusing. Since you ended up not being sure when the narrative was focusing on which character before moving the narrative towards the other.

And that was saying a lot, considering that this drama did contain elements from the original Ju-On, Girl in Black, Lady in White and many other plots from the other Ju-On series. Not to mention the very fact that the series almost completely removed the ghost element in the story while keeping the mystery and thriller atmosphere, as well as the roundabout narrative style.

It took me until episode 5 before I could start getting a clearer image of what's going on. Basically, Ju-On: The Cursed House aka Ju-On: Origin was basically trying to tell a Ju-On story while also deploying the same narrative style as The Haunting of the Hill House. If you liked the latter, then you'd be able to enjoy this drama. Or, if you're like me you'd end up feeling slightly disappointed as by the end of the drama, you'd feel as if the writer just gave up on the writing and resorted to borrowing the ending of Haunting of the Hill House to end their story. And honestly, I can't help feeling a slight disappointment towards this drama considering that the drama had been helmed by the two most prominent horror writers whose works include the past Ju-On movies as well as Ring.

What a fun and enjoyable watch. While at first glance the series seem to be a cheap take on the old spy plot combined with a corporate corruption drama, the drama turned out to be quite enjoyable with the cast of unlikely trio of female agents with different backgrounds.

It's basically a Korean Charlie's Angels drama with two of the female agent being mothers. The spy plot may be a bit old-school and full of clichés but Choi Ganghee did pretty well in playing the part of a super agent with a painful past. The addition of Lee Jonghyuk as Team Leader Dong adds a bit of comedic element to the series which made it fun to see this unlikely team of NIS agents try to solve the case of corporate leak conspiracy.

While as a whole, the series did have a simple plot with some predictable twists... the drama did not fail to make me laugh with the comedic gags as well as its old school espionage plot.

This drama started well... but then halfway through the series for some reason, the production thinks that it was wise of them to CHANGE the main writer and have the FL being too sympathetic to the Psycho Dude and be very unkind to the person she's supposed to be more in love with and destroyed the drama. The only reason I'm still watching this drama is for Cha Hyungbin/Kim Soohyuk. Seriously, nothing else matters in this drama besides Soohyuk.

Seriously I don't get how Sabin could be so dumb and inconsiderate. Like even if she was trying to be so trusting in the good of people, I don't get how she could be so forgiving to someone who stalks her and acts like a psycho yet can be so biased to Soohyuk who might be a bit unforgiving towards anyone who had a history of criminal actions just because of that one moment where he messed up a bit due to some misunderstanding. Not saying that Sabin's character can be very unrealistic; like it's understandable that she might feel confused about her own feelings towards the two men for the fact that there were some 'deja vu' she had with Jicheol where actually from Haeeun's memories of Hyungbin. Even then, her treatment of Soohyuk was much too biased for someone who's supposedly trying to see good in everyone around her.

Like seriously, I thought this drama was aiming to reunite a pair of lovers in their second life after dying prematurely over an unjust death. But No. It went off the charts in a really BAD way.

Somehow I wonder just how much of the plot had diverted from the original plan for the writer in this series. Like I heard how in the middle of the series there's somehow a change in the main writer thus one of the main reason this drama took in the stupid ridiculous direction. Yet even then I wonder about what part was still following the original scripts before the writer change obliterated it. Like tbh, I feel that Soohyuk/Hyungbin's plot was the only one that remained intact from the original writer's plan as his part of the story was the ONLY one that remained consistent as the rest of the plot went downhill just so that the second main writer could make the psycho dude be paired with the FL.

Tl;dr, unless you don't mind watching having your expectations of what a good story could turn out be destroyed during the next half of the plot, don't watch this show. Or you can be like me who had stuck around till the end because the second male lead being your ONLY salvation inside this drama. Like seriously, Lee Soohyuk was still the only good thing about this drama. I mean, as much as the mystery/crime plot seemed interesting at first... all that went to drain as apparently whoever that has been brought in to replace the original writer cannot for the life of them write any engaging crime or court scene to make it believable and only focusing on love plot.
