Looks like the past is full of assholes, just like the present.
Phat yells at Armin all the time in the past, slaps him in the stomach and face, and clearly doesn't give a crap that Armin is injured and confused.
And Lilly is a screaming, scheming bitch in any timeline.
The only character that has not OVER-acted his part is Thada. The other characters, including Armin, are way OTT. Yeesh.
Also....why did Armin wake up in the past with Neanderthal hair, which I was surprised to see was his REAL hair even after his awful wig fell off when he crashed the car?
I did not like that bathroom scene. It was forced oral sex where Jun PLAINLY was uncomfortable and CLEARLY kept signalling for Sorn to stop forcing him. And then once Sorn got off, that was it. Sorn got what he wanted, and that's all he cared about.
I dunno, I somehow thought Sorn and Jun would be a LOT further along in the journey toward actual feelings for each other, and toward Sorn treating Jun with some kind of respect.
But it's just been one scene after another of Sorn saying "I want it" and Jun ends up giving in. Then Sorn shoves himself into whichever of Jun's orifices he's closest to, and Jun ends up with bruises.
Yes, there have certainly been instances where Jun undeniably enjoyed their FWB encounters. No denying that.
But the abuse thinly disguised as "hot NC" is getting tiresome.
I speculated a while back that Chris may have the ability to block Pete. There's a good possibility that Willy…
In the Omegaverse (other ppl can tell you more about that. I am not very well versed on it.), there are Alphas who have special abilities. They are greater in number, but their abilities are limited.
Babe, Charlie and Jeff (among others) are examples of Alphas.
Enigmas, on the other hand, are far fewer in number, but are also far more powerful, have more abilities and can impregnate other men. Yes, Mpreg is a thing in the Omegaverse.
In S1, there were two (known) Enigmas - Way, who looked exactly like Chris but died at the end of S1, and Pete, who is in both S1 and S2.
In a strange twist, the two Enigmas were attracted to each other (Pete more than Way, though). But nothing ever happened, as far as I know - mostly because Way was in love with Babe. Pete was sad when Way died, though. I wonder what would have happened if two Enigmas hooked up.
The Mpreg thing only appears in the Pit Babe series by the very briefest of hints in S1. Not even an outright mention - just a brief, brief hint. I think - at the command of Tony - Way was supposed to impregnate Babe. But again, they didn't outright discuss that.
So far, there's no sign that Mpreg is a thing in season 2. But I suspect Willy *might* be another Enigma. Not sure yet.
could willy be an enigma with 2 powers (strength/persuasion and something to do with time)? and does Chris have…
I speculated a while back that Chris may have the ability to block Pete.
There's a good possibility that Willy may be an Enigma. We've seen either super speed or time manipulation (when Babe was in the hospital) and super strength (the gym scene in Ep 5), so far.
We may have also seen Willy's super speed or time manipulation when Babe was hit by the car. Even though Babe confirmed Willy was training with his team at the time of that hit and run, I'm pretty sure that was Willy who was driving the car. For him to be in two places at once would require some kind of special ability.
OOOOHHH........new idea.......does Willy have the ability to temporarily clone himself?
personally I think his ability is taking other peoples abilities. remember when Charlie crashed his car, right…
You have to also factor in the fact that Charlie had taken that ability-erasing drug, too. While there seemed to be no reaction at first, it may have been delayed and only hit him during the race.
2) Chris specifically muttered "Way's birthday, huh?". Notice he didn't say "Our birthday" which he would have if they were twins (separated at birth or otherwise).
3) OR....... Chris and Way ARE twins, but born one day apart. That's the only reason Chris would make that distinction.
4) Notice Chris only looked at one file - it had pics of some of Tony's "kids" from years ago. Chris looked at a few, but stopped cold and stared when he saw one specific boy. Then he quickly logged off. He didn't even download anything to a thumb drive.
All of that ^^^^^^ makes me think Chris is not working FOR Tony. I think he is looking for information about one specific child / adult Alpha. So he's working for Pete, but with his own agenda.
5) Even with all of the booty calls, I think Pete knows something is off about Chris. I think Chris actually has the ability to block Pete's power to sense truth / lies, and that has made Pete suspicious of him.
But since Chris is a valuable researcher, he's letting Chris continue in the lab and just keeping an eye on anything Chris is doing outside of work hours.
6) I have a feeling Pete knew Chris would be snooping, so he's probably got a camera in his office and recorded Chris breaking into his computer.
7) A few episodes ago Tony said he had a mole there at X-Hunter.
8) In my opinion, the mole candidates are Kim, Kenta, Sonic and Dean.
9) Personally, of those four ^^^^^^ I think Kim and Kenta are unlikely. Surprisingly, I think Sonic is a real possibility. And Dean ALWAYS seems sus to me.
^^^^^^^^^^^ All my own conjecture. Nothing proven at all.
I think you're referring to a four part mini series called 'Infidelity, It’s a Disease' where what you're saying…
I haven't seen that one.
I was actually referring to a Chinese YouTube series called Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island (and the subsequent "extra" series of 13 short episodes that served as a kindof follow-up story about the same couple).
It's simple, but really lovely. Again, the director did give the actors some basic instructions, but she also let them have autonomy as far as some of the things I mentioned. And she just had them do some things over if she felt it needed tweaking.
I loved the interaction between TK and Victor in Ep 2.
It actually felt like I was watching two real people navigating their language barrier in a fun way. It felt natural, and it felt like the way real people get to know each other. That was really refreshing. And to me, it wasn't boring at all.
I recently watched a Chinese BL (yes, really) where the director gave the actors the basic scene and what she wanted to happen, but she let them find their own method of completing the goals in the scene. They figured out their own body language, their emotions, their responses to each other, their blocking in each room.....it was SO good. She only made a few modifications here and there. That was so, so, sooooo different from the acting in most Thai BLs. It felt WAY more natural and engaging. I wish more Thai studios would try that method of directing.
I can't stand Shane's mom. She is so manipulative.
And her statement to Shane: "Jin and Name are already grown. Cheese can stay with her father. I love YOU most anyway." - meaning the most out of all 4 of her children - is just wrong. No mother should ever say she loves one child more than her other children.

I'm bracing myself.

Looking forward to more episodes!!
The acting was very natural, the setting was pretty, and the music was perfect.
It's a super short slice-of-life vignette that I think is worth watching, even if not a whole lot happens.
Among other problems, the acting is awful. I mean REALLY bad.
Dropping it.

Also, if you go down in the comments on either of those ^^^^^, I posted all of the links for every single episode of both series.
