I watched this a while ago but only have decided to comment now.
I love this show but was let down by the ending. I rewatched the ending and it was pretty bad. Even though the writers didn't have this in mind I've just decided that she was only imagining him in the end. It makes sense and is also a better ending.
Show was ok but those last 4 episodes are horrible and the way Kim Tae Hee and Chae Jung An's characters personality changed in those 4 episodes was terrible.
Lee Do Hyun's acting was incredible in this show. He genuinely felt like a dad whenever he scolded or smiled at his kids during school.
I wished this show done more flashbacks of the family. They spent to much time on the side characters like Goo Ja Sung and Ye Ji Hoon, Even though I do like them the focus should've been the family. I would've liked to have seen more of Hong Shi Woo and Hong Shi Ah's personal life during their childhood up until now.
But the one thing I really wanted more of was Lee Do Hyun and Han So Eun looking after the children when they were younger. One of my favourite moments from the show was the ending of episode 3 with Lee Do Hyun helping the kids with the play and picking them up from kindergarten. It was such a great moment and imo one of the best scenes in the show.
There was too much chemistry between HJP and Halmoni that people complained it was overshadowing the Main Couple,…
Oh I didn't mean the age gap in real life. I mean in the show. During the flashback, The kid actor who was playing Seo Dal-mi looked like she was 12 or 13 while Han Ji-pyeong's kid actor looked like he about 18 or 19. It just felt a little weird. I don't think their ages are that far off in the either in the show? I don't remember if they mentioned their ages.

I do understand that he likes her, What I meant was I just wished they actually showed it in the drama. Watching this show, I honestly felt like he didn't like her at all up until maybe episode 10. I will say I would've found it weird if he did end up with her considering the age difference when they were writing the letters.

Really? For me that would've made the show so much better. It made more sense for his story to be focused on the Grandmother. I'd say in the first 7 or 8 episodes, I didn't fell like Han Ji-pyeong's character liked Seo Dal-mi at all in a romantic way.
How's welcome to waikiki 2? I dropped the first season while airing:(
Jun ki is exactly the same character. He's still hilarious. I can't really answer about if he broke up with his girlfriend from the first season. The reason being is that the second season they don't mention any of the previous characters. It's almost as if the first season characters never existed.
