Not a real love triangle , it's more of a set up for the plot so it's not really bothersome. A lot of romance…
i'm still puzzled about this new hyperconservative new limitation. the other limitations, even though arbitrary, made some sort of twisted sense, this one doesn't. it's 2023, even though they want to resist so bad, time doesn't go backward

Is this the new trend in Cdramas???a lot of dramas are getting unnecessary cuts for no reason. I hope they don't…
untill last year though there were romantic scene in historical dramas (wich is what i mostly watch) they didn't cut kissing scenes, i noticed they start doing it in the newest dramas. maybe does it depend on the network and the airing time? anyway dealing with all the chinese censorship issues may give all of a us a giant headache. as far as i know they updated their list of restriction in september (no traffic actors, no too many liberties about historical events, no boys love, no more than 40 episode a drama) but i didn't see anything about couples showing affection

what i don't understand is the very conservative 50s prude trend to cut any romantic element, even the more innocent. i thought censorship was concerned just by anti governative stuff (and their war against same sex relationships). do we know why?

i hope they don't do like with SJFY, they wait and wait untill something comes up and they have to butcher or shelve it

Yes, most of them shave their hair off for monk/bald characters. And also for dramas where they have the Qing…
it made sense back than when you had to fight in wars waring heavy stuff over your head but still wanted to keep your ethnic identidy, all the men from nomadic tribes went half bald, when you see amazing long braids in dramas it's just fiction, if they were mongols or turkic their heads were actually half shaved (same with japanese samurais for the same reasons)

Yeah, I'm happy Leo Wu is back. It be really strange to cast him in a role other than Fei Liu (or his descendant).
it's kind of an iconic role for him

do we have a synopsis? i mean i'd watch anything with Ma Tain Yu, but it'd also be nice to know what this drama is about
