Title The Eternal Fragrance Spoiler
Episode Two didn't make sense to me. The whole part where the restaurant owner bought ML as some slave, and why the ML had chose to bring FL into a fancy restaurant if he had no money... Can someone explain to me what was the thought process behind the MC's plan?

I haven't seen other series featuring Wu Xie as the MC, but I started this one due to recommendations. Story is interesting but I'm not enjoying Wu Xie character. Maybe because I lack the context behind the way he acts but that's my take after EP 2. I'll still complete it for the story.

no romance between the FL and ML. there's only bromance and angst tho 😁
Try 'The Day of Becoming You' a body swap romance comedy drama. ‘Young Blood’ Season 1 is also a really fun, investigative drama, story focus on the Mc team doing missions to prevent a war.

It's really good, but I don't feel compelled to wait for the next episode; maybe I'll watch it after it finishes airing.

Yeah, unfortunately, I noticed that in many Chinese novels, authors try to write an R-word scene in a funny way.

Yeah, I was just going to write about that. I felt very uncomfortable with that scene. Had it been reversed? People…
Yeah... showing such scene comically is something I cannot fathom in any way. I was looking forward to her character, as I liked the actor in her previous works, but this is disappointing.

AvenueX said that the team shot three different endings and they will choose an ending from the reception they…
I agree with the comment about the lack of initial character connection, but by episodes 13 or 14, we finally connect with them. There is lots of action; while some viewers found this problematic, I did not. I love Zhang Xin Cheng, and I’m loving his character. Ding Yu Xi’s character is taking an interesting turn, and the dynamic between Hai Luo and Haixia is also good.

The reason it took 13 or more episodes to properly connect with the characters is that the broadcast version cut many scenes showing their affection, which would have made viewers root for them earlier. Because these scenes are missing, there is a sense of incompleteness, and it simply needed more time to overcome that feeling.

Characters are good, story is interesting but with some pacing issues that's my take.

I have no issue with the FL being the smartest and solving her own problems. However, I do take issue with how the show treats other characters as incompetent just to showcase her intelligence. The ML’s introduction was great, but his character declined steadily afterward. Based on his established capabilities, he should have been able to predict the FL’s actions, yet he fails to do so even when obvious clues are right in front of him. This might have been acceptable early on when he didn’t know her well, but it persists until the very last episode. Every character feels like simply a prop to highlight the FL. Not gonna lie, there are moments I really liked, but this flaw was hard to ignore. I had huge expectations, but overall, it’s a 7.5/10.

Is there a reason why the FL and her second sister are against each other? The FL doesn't seem like someone who would wrong her. Could it be jealousy? Perhaps the younger sister is getting all the attention from the FL, making the second sister feel neglected and sparking this hate?

No, I'm talking about the poison developed by the villains. Most of the stabs he received during the fights were laced with poison, so it was already in his system during his fake death state. I'm guessing that his negative emotions caused the poison to reactivate.

She has her own. Matters to take care of and hai luo is the only agent alive. So I don’t see anything wrong with her statement.
