This is a long drama that does take some commitment @56 eps. I enjoyed the drama. The acting was great by all and Song Seung Heon was a pleasure to watch - both in his appearance and his acting. Overall, though, there could have been less eps, the ending could have been better, and there were some things in the storyline that unnerved my brain. Would I recommend it? Sure because the acting was really good and so was the story. But this isn't a happy-go-lucky drama.....its full of strife and conflict, so you need to be prepared for that and possibly having to FFW here and there if you're the type that does that. I don't like to FFW so I watched through and through but surely could see where it would easily be FFWable.
I loved these two in their roles. But i definitely preferred him with the white hair versus when he did his trial on earth. He looked like to much of an older man.
I loved both Tunnel and Defendant but Defendant was way more amazingly acted and suspenseful as an action/suspense/thriller. Ji Sung is one of the best actors on the planet.
I am sure it is just personal taste regarding the sageuk/historical drama chosen overall, but the acting by Lee Dong Gun in The Queen for Seven days set that drama apart for me as a historical/sageuk drama. It was phenomenal. If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out.
For the webseries, I really liked Queen of the Ring, but if you haven't watched the Boy Next Door, you should. It was so well done and so damned funny, you'll want to watch each ep twice.
i can't recall if u watched Lookout, but if so, did you like Kim Young Kwang in that? I thought he jumped to the next level in showing us his acting chops.
I also liked Nam Joo Hyuk in School 2015, not sure if you've seen that. I didn't like him in Bride of Haebok though.
Note to streaming watchers, ep 1 everywhere has poor resolution. No matter what they say it is 360. And on KA, ep one is really bad dubbing/synced-wise. I watched on dramacool and to my surprise it flipped to 720 as of ep 2. Thing is, the subs changed to some kind of google translate in ep 5, so i switched to KA and rewatched ep 5 over there and the subs are fine over there. I watched the rest of what I did watch on Kissasian. The resolution is 720 after ep 1 over there as well. Good luck. From my post below, I only watched thru ep 10.
I dropped after 10 eps. The story attempted to be melodramatic but it was just overly dramatic predictable stuff. The acting by all the supporting characters was just stupid. The leads were OK, but I felt sad for them being in such a poorly executed drama. Princess Wei Young was 10x better. Both are centered around a strong female character, if that's what you are looking for. ..
I know what you mean about not wanting the show to end. It is interesting that there does not appear to be any…
@ sdh on top of no filler, what i love is they start each show without wasting time with prior episode recaps. And they give us no previews. They use every minute of their allotted time. Thanks be to them.
