Mr Sunshine is truly epic and fully deserves its ranking as one of the all-time best dramas. It has beautiful cinematography & costumes, memorable characters, top cast, acting & OST and a fun bromance. If you still need persuading, it's got Kim Taeri with a very kick-ass role and one of the greatest love stories ever! Mr Sunshine has a lot of characters introduced in Ep 1 and the timelines aren't clear, but stick with it and you can google a character relationship chart to help. It's based on true historical events, but not serious the whole time and there are some genuinely funny moments. Totally recommended!

Lee Wan-Ik already had Lord Go Sa-Hong on his hit list. Lee saw Gunner Jang at the palace and decided to investigate him. He unfortunately turned up at Gunner Jang's camp just before Go Ae-Shin arrived to remove guns and burn down the hut. Lee later realised that Ae-Shin was the right age if the Righteous Army members he executed in Japan had had a child.

Yes. Eugene and Kim Hui Sung worked out where to look for him and Gu Dong Mae's men captured him. The Righteous Army then permanently dealt with him.

There's nothing special about the coin and Hina knew that Gu Dongmae didn't really care about money. He made the payment amount small so that it wouldn't trouble Go Aeshin and just wanted her to visit every month.

I've watched 12 episodes of Twinkling Watermelon so far and it's going to be a struggle for me to finish it because it's increasingly boring. I don't get its hype or see any chemistry between the cast. TW is nowhere as good as 25 21 imo.

Thunder is a "program" which can take many forms. As a droid, he was voiced by Kim Dae Myung. Thunder often impersonates Guard, so it's correct that Kim Woo Bin is billed as Thunder in part 2.

I think many conservative and/or religious people didn't check the classification rating and warnings beforehand and were offended by the explicit R18 content, then gave a low score.

The tag-line was "guns, glory and sad endings". The ending is very sad, but uplifting at the same time because the story is based on true events. This drama is a masterpiece and must watch!

It's not shown, but I think that Eugene stayed with him until he enlisted. As a Christian missionary, Joseph could hardly abandon Eugene and leave him to fend for himself in a foreign country.

I didn't think it was possible, but Kim Taeri's acting gets better with each new project! Revenant is my favourite drama of 2023. 🥰

PS - the adulthood age in my country is 18, so that's also why I'm more relaxed about the age difference.

I didn't have any problems with the age difference and that NHD was still in high school when they first met. They just kept running into each other and BYJ didn't deliberately seek her out. He was probably lonely too and didn't keep in contact with his old friends after the bad experience at the nightclub. Later on, the Taeyang squad kept crashing his place to hang out and it wasn't as if he invited them over. NHD obviously cheered BYJ up and he knew her friendship was genuine, unlike with his old friends. I'm satisfied that their innocent friendship grew organically and there was no grooming.

Sorry, it was a Daesang-winning performance for me. We'll have to agree to disagree.

Each to their own opinion, but she's got a strong chance of winning the Daesang at the SBS Drama Awards. I think that if Disney's subtitles didn't annoyingly include every observation (eg "Sanyeong gasps", "breathes shakily" etc), then you probably wouldn't notice that stuff so much. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, it was so annoying that Disney+ did very little to promote it and didn't make it available in all countries at the same time!

Revenant was mis-labelled as a "horror" and was never intended to be one. This probably put off the scaredy cats from watching it and disappointed the hard-core horror fans. It was the best of the year for me.
