“Q: Is there any genre you would like to play in the future?“KimTaeRi: Right now, I don't have particular…
Vampire KTR will probably be doing "youth" projects for the next 10 years! After she does JN, the only genres left to cover will be cowboy/ western and a happy ending rom-com. I don't like the odds of ever getting the latter! 😔
A Twitter post said that red beans are tradtionally used to scare ghosts away, so Evil Granny Na knows that Sanyeong isn't the evil spirit after she ate some of the mochi. The evil spirit would've spat it out and raided the pantry instead. I think Evil Granny has given a false name to test Sanyeong's reaction.
This is the price to pay for having the evil spirit's power, but Sanyeong didn't know this.
I think sacrificing a 2nd child is to create an evil spirit. I think that the price Prof Gu had to pay was the unborn child and being the 2nd child was a red herring.
I love this theory. But why will Grandma Na let her kid get killed because of what her husband did? If this is…
My theory is that it's Grandpa Yeom's child and nothing to do with Grandma Na, so that's how she can cold-bloodedly get rid of her (and smile when it was being done). She kept it a secret from Grandpa Yeom. The evil spirit doesn't want her name to be discovered because she still wants revenge on Grandma Na.
My out-there theory is that the evil spirit is Grandpa Yeom's love child (his second child), who got adopted out to Mokdan's parents, who thought they couldn't have kids, but had Mokdan later. Mokdan is the second child but firstborn. Grandma Na finds out about the love child and pays the Shaman to get rid of her.
Wow…another amazing episode. Kim Tae Ri is really good in this role. First time seeing her in drama….great…
Lucky you, you've got lots of treats in store if you want to check out KTR's previous works. Twenty-Five Twenty-One and Mr Sunshine are my all-time fave dramas. Her versatility will blow you away!
From watching the OST pt 2 (Lonely Night by Dasutt) you can see a hair continuity issue in eps 5 & 6. SY's glorious hair goes from wavy leaving the wine bar to fairly straight and tucked behind her ears on the bridge, then back to wavy in her bedroom. I love the way her hair flies when she slams the door shut.
This is my joint favourite all-time drama with Mr Sunshine, but I think there were two major flaws. Firstly, they should've kept Kim Tae Ri as the older Na Hee Do, because the other actress gave too much of a different vibe. If they put KTR's hair up like in the Ohui ads, then she would've been believable as 42 years old, which is not old at all (look at Song Hye Kyo and Son Ye Jin). Plus, the younger NHD never wore dresses, even to Seung Wan's father's funeral, so I don't think the older NHD would've worn a dress and heels in everyday life. Secondly, they made Kim Min Chae too old and the clothes she wore were too babyish. If she was 15 years old and born in 2007, then NHD would've been married in about 2006. It doesn't make sense that Baek Yi Jin would belatedly congratulate her on marriage in 2009 if she already had a child. Then when NHD discusses retirement with Coach Yang, she doesn't mention Min Chae. You'd also think that NHD would've mentioned her husband and child in her retirement speech. If they had made Min Chae 12 years old, then this would've been more logical. It would've meant that NHD had gotten married just before the funeral and had Min Chae after her retirement. Despite these flaws, Twenty Five Twenty One will always be the benchmark drama for me.
