Long ge is just the best actor ever! I've been in Korean dramaland for like years and years, and then Guardian…
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm happy you discovered him. I'm on my third rewatch for Guardian. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to move on from this drama. ^^
I see moonchild, I see ZYL and I smash that love button. XD great writeup! I honestly wanted to do one but I wasn't…
Thank you! :D II know him for 2 years now but before writing the article I still felt insecure. lol Thank you for sharing the extra trivia. Granting You a Dreamlike Life is not the best drama I agree, but Yilong' character of Luo Fusheng has a charm you can't resist. ^^ I have already high respect that he learned to play violin for the drama, I don't expect he mastered the instrument when professionals learn it for years. xD
wow thanks so much for writing this article! i'm a big fan of him too and hope more international fans love him.…
Thank you for reading. :) Guardian caused such a hype that even I noticed it and I was taking a break from dramas at this time, still it reached me and I'm so glad it did. :) I also wish he has more popularity and success internationally. More and more of his (older) projects get english subs which is a big help. I'll keep watching his progress for sure and I hope he stays true to his humble self. It makes him stand out. :)
Nicely done! Personally, his role as the heartbreakingly wistful Qi Heng in The Story of Ming Lan was the most…
What I've seen from his character Qi Heng so far makes me wholeheartedly agree with you though I also have to admit that he left a huge impression as Shen Wei to me. His portrayal of Wu Xie in Reunion: The Sound of the Providence is also a favorite of mine. As well as his name companion Hua Wu Xie from As Flowers Fade and Fly Across the Sky. It's heart to decide on one favorite character because he plays them all so well and each is special on its own.
"Blood Type: O" - that just cracked me up... the kind of Too Much Info that only a true fan and veteran cyberstalker…
Haha I know what you mean. In Japan, South Korea and other Asian countries it's pretty common though to have the blood type in the bio and a lot of people know their blood type as they take this quite seriously. It can be compared to how strongly some people believe in Zodiac signs. Each blood type is said to be related to a certain personality type. I find it interesting though I'm not sure if this is really reliable. ^^ According to a quick search the types are like this: Type A is said to be kind, compassionate, loyal, sensitive, calm and idealistic. Type B is friendly, outgoing, energetic, spontaneous and expressive. Type AB is creative, spontaneous, outgoing, adaptable and a problem solver. Type O is said to be practical, determined, organized, responsible and objective. I'm happy you enjoyed my article. :)
I've only seen him in the Story of Minglan. I noticed that he's quite popular, with rankings, and was curious…
I have yet to watch him in Story of Ming Lan but only heard good things about this drama. He gained some weight for his role of Qi Heng because he found his cheeks too skinny/sunken in and thought his role as a noble should have a healthy/softer appearance since a noble would have enough food. I was surprised to read how much he cares about every detail of his character. I hope you enjoy his other projects. :)
this article is so well written and well organized. thank you for making this amazing article of zhu yi long.…
Thank you so much. :) I'm glad you like it. Zhu Yilong strives to always deliver a good performance and work that his fans can enjoy so I'm sure we will get too see a lot of good future projects with him. May 2021 be a happy and successful year for him and us. ^^
Can someone give me a spoiler for this drama and tell me if there's someone against the romance of the main leads and trying to separate them? (I'm watching My Fantastic Mrs Right right now and the second female lead is getting on my nerves by now with her constant pouting and plotting against the leads) ^^
What's up? There haven't been any new subtitles since November 14. It's stuck on episode 37. There's only 13 episodes…
Since I don't know what's going in Purple Text life I don't judge. I know from experience that one sudden event can change everything and subbing would be the least of my problems at such a time. Personally I'm already grateful that she/he even picked this drama up after everyone else dropped it. I understand that you want to watch this drama but we can only wait unless we master Chinese in a couple months and can translate for ourselves. :)
I agree with this great article, specially Woo Do Hwan who stole the show in Mad Dog. :) I would add Yang Se Jong (7 dramas so far and also enlisted this year), he played together with Do Hwan in My Country: The New Age and his acting skills got me in Duel.

Subbers have a real life too and they're not getting paid for this hard work and effort. Also December is always a busy month. On top of that Purple Text doesn't seem to be a team of multiple people but only one so when real life gets in the way there's no one to jump in and subbing is delayed. Be a bit more patient. There haven't been subs for years so it should be possible to wait a bit longer. ;)
Thank you for your interest in my article, in writing for MDL, and specifically in certain topic. I just saw your…
My Ultra Fan Guide article is already submitted as well as my second article. I'm writing on my third article. ^^ I'm not entirely new to the topic of yokai but any help is welcome so the links and MDLers who can help are much appreciated. Thank you! :)
You just gave me a new idea for an article. xD An introduction to Japanese yokai (demons). There is barely anything as funny and full of interesting folklore as Japan and its ghosts, spirits and demons. They have yokai for almost everything. :)
The new layout looks so good and I like that you included new article ideas. That shows how much stuff there is to write about (something I couldn't think of before writing my first article) and encourages others to write an article. Also I have a huge pile of new interesting articles to read or reread now, holidays are saved. xD
You have no idea how happy I am to read "TO BE CONTINUED IN PART 4". Looking forward to the new part. Thanks for part 3 of this lovely series. Keep up the amazing work. ^.^
