One thing I don't like about this cast : why the need to make it so obviously multi-racial ? I just hope it's…
I totally agree with you, when you cast an actor, the skills should come first, and who cares what his origins are ?
What I wouldn't be okay with would be to cast someone BECAUSE of his skin color. There are movies where the producers MAKE it about race, and totally overlook the fact that they hired very bad actors. Because they just wanted to represent the diversity of the US.
In the Q&A article about this US drama, when the producer was asked if the actors would be asian, he answers that they "have a bit of everything". My concern was whether it HAPPENED to end up that way (if which way it would be totally awesome) or if they MADE it happen this way (which would mean that the acting skills were not their priority when choosing the cast.)
I want this upcoming drama to be great and awesome so that more people get attracted to asian dramas. Isn't that what we all want ?

I just hope it's not going to be like some movies where they are trying so hard so look "open-minded" it becomes ridiculous : chinese son, afro-american biological father , caucasian biological mother, latino BFF whose biological parents are from India and Algeria.
I mean what's the point?
Don't misunderstand me, I'm not being racist here - really, I'm not - but sometime when I see a movie and a TV show I sometime wonder if the producers have a quota to fill or something. If they have a real reason to choose this or that actor, it's great, but if the only reason they're chosen is because she's chinese and he's from (I don't know )Brazil, and their faces is going to make the production look "open-minded", then I'm not sure I'm okay with it...

I live a little too much in Dramaland sometimes...I always forget the real-life dark downsides...
Btw it's not so rare to see girl get married right after high school. I believe she can pull it off. This actress is full of surprises
I do re-watch, though. Not right away of course, but I often rewatch my favorite dramas every 6 months or something...
