Nice First Episode (no spoiler)

This episode was really good, I liked it.

In one episode you get :

I - The love triangle with promisingly good chemistry between both the Male/ Female Leads and Female Lead/Second male lead.

II - 2 Second Female Leads that are both funny and irritating, which is a good combination, I think. Not really useful to the story so far, and a bit clueless, but hopefully that will change soon.

III - What the story is going to be about - other than the romance - and a first suspect to chew on.

IV - One of the cutest, and funniest drunk scene in Kdramaland. Seriously I replayed that scene at least three times. Won't tell you what happens, but it sure was a good one, you'll see.

The acting is good, and the story seems fun. It's looks like we're gonna have some mystery without too much melodrama and so far the actors look good together.

Just, don't expect anything too serious. We all know that's not how a first class hotel would be managed. But it's still very fun to watch. I don't really think that all Kdramas are meant to be realistic (are any, really?), here I'd say it's pure entertainment. And I like a light, fun drama for a change.

My thought after watching this first episode was"This is going to be fun, easy to watch and interesting. When's the next episode airing ?" ^^

Go watch it !

Truth

So, in this episode some character get the truth : the Best Fried, the Coworkers, and finally the Mom (followed by the Brother who walked in the room when her panic bursts)

I really love the best friend : he's an angel. He makes a cute couple with hina. And he treats Takuto normally even after knowing the truth. He really respect his privacy, and it's not easy to do that when a friend is sick, I know something about it. He's not distant or cold, but he's not intruding either. That character was really well written. Plus he lighten the atmosphere. After seing his here and in Soredemo Ikite Yuku, I can say that this is an incredible actor.

The mother's reaction both moved me and annoyed me. She is already making this about the Father, and she already wants to control everything. Which was to me expected, she a mom, and she's THAT kind of moms so...but I keep getting irritated.

Now the brother : we know he skipped school to go to a dinosaur museum. Not your first choice of runaway destination don't you think ? Did he finally realize he hates medicine ?

We know more in the next episode.

Also, I hate that Megu is accepting that guys. I don't like him, he doesn't seem trustworthy. If he was really to snatch her from Takuto, what makes you think he won't snatch another girl from someone else, huh ? Silly Girl.

I secreatly wanted her to be pregnant with Takuto's child, but that's not happening so...

Still love the drama !

Piano !

This episode scared me a bit.

Because I can see that his friend wants to take Megu away, and now he even has his blessing so I don't se what could stop him. Also, I was scared in the end of the episode because I thought that the piano music in the cross road would make him try to kill himself.

Piano ! Let's talk about it. Not to metion the utter cuteness of MH playing the piano, this scene was so flashback material. They really look good together, they really are two great actors and their characters are so interesting and sweet together I love them...(this drama will break my heart).

But why was the piano there in the first place ? For his little brother. It seemed that they are more alike that they'd think : both have problem and none will talk about it. It seems to me that his little brother has social issues, and doesn't have much friends. Someone just doesn't repeat the phrase "Do you feel inferior to me?" so often without having his own self-esteem issues.

The breakup scene was awful, I really thought I'd cry. But why, WHY didn't she insist more than that ! Darn that girl ! And why cry in his friend's arm! And you, why do you hug her ! I hate you !!!

Anyway great episode. Now I'm craving hommade white bread sandwiches...

Impressing

I have to say that I was really impressed by this episode.

As he learns about his disease, the music playing isn't one of "how sad" but more one of "how scary". It's actually quite a stressful OST.

I like the fact that he hears about his disease alone, not with his family, and it's his choice to say it or not to say it to other people. So right now he's not telling. In the first half, it feels like it's not real to him. He even plans on going to an onsen, which are good for your health, maybe hoping it will solve the problem.

I told you my one of my previous reviews that MH is really good at portraying fear. Well this episode is really a good example of that. You can really see the panic growing stronger within the episode. Fist is the look on his face when he finally can open his bottle of tea , next is when he calls his father, then during the dinner with Megu and the FMACouple,

So I'm really glad he has someone like Megu. Even though I'd say it's a bit convenient to make her a nurse...but well...That hug scene was really touching, I think that's the first time I almost cried in this drama.

The scene of bargaining with the doctor was really well done. I like that there is no music, no crying and no "it's unfair, I'm so young". It's actually quite realistic. He tries to be strong, to smile (even though he snaps). You can see the anger, the fear, and the saddness even without any pitiful crying. Just because MH is really such a good actor. When he discribe how worthless he is while smiling, I really thought I was going to cry.

No, when I cried is at the end of the episode when he eat his chicken and his panic burst out. It's really a moving scene, and the acting is really, really impressive. What''s even more moving is that it's the fear that makes him cry, not the self-pity.

So, for the acting, I give the episode a 10.

2 Shower Scenes !

1 - Shower scene in the first 10 minutes of the episode...because just because it's a Disease Drama doesn't mean it has to be all gross and scary. S-H-O-W-E-R S-C-E-N-E.

2 - I love their friends. I'll call them the FullMetal Alchemist Couple. They are so cute together. But I don't like the other one, the tall one, it's obvious he's up to something, I just don't know what.

3 - So, life is still full of issues, but it's smart, you get the main idea : the expectation, the pressure and the competition at work are so intense, that a sick person could easily be thrown away like trash. Plus he did a health check-up before entering his company (In france, this doesn't happen, that I know of...I was really sickened by this).

4 - I like that he finds out about his disease online but doesn't believe it at first, thinking that he's being paranoid. But you can already see that the way the disease is frightening him (MH really has a gift for portraying fear, don't you think?)

5 - I REALLY love the romance. I'm glad because you don't usually have that kind of high quality romance in such drama. Even in 1 Litre of Tears. That scene when she's waiting for the bus and he's giving her one hell of puppy eyes' look to make her stay was just ...and the scene just after that, with the brother walking in the room...I really laughed a lot.

6 - I HATE his brother. Not only he's being a burden (give me this, buy that), but he's also very conceited. If I were him, I'd tell him "GTFO of my house !"...but no, the precious little brother must study medecine in peace while his good-for-nothing brother "kind of" help people.

7 - Last but not least : an Interesting 2nd Shower Scene ! Let's be honest, they could have done that scene in his pj before he sleeps, but no, here we've got a 2nd shower scene with even more MH to see.

So, overall, a great episode.

Smart Start

I'm being honest here, I'm watching is for Miura Haruma. I'm not a fan of the Love-me-I'm-Dying genre.

But honestly, this drama starts with a quite good first episode.

I like the fact that the main character already has issues BEFORE the disease kicks in. Also, he's not the perfect, shiny character who's going to be the bravest victime of all time I can feel it. So that's also nice.

I like his relationship with Megumi, those two really have something going on.

I also like the fact that his family doesn't seem perfect (his parents actually forced him to take his little brother under his own roof, as if it was the natural thing to do).

However, I don't like the fact that his family is already focused on everything medical (father owns a hospital, brother in med school, his own childhoon dream was to be a doctor). That's too convenient.

And I don't like the falling in slow motion with the violins playing in the background. We know this is a Disease Drama, and we need no reminder of it.

So, overall, a nice start. I'll keep watching. ^^

Let her watch the show !

I liked that episode, full of jealousy scenes from both the King and the Emperor.

I liked seing Nyang becoming a one-night nurse for the King, but I wish a bit more had happened...

As for the Emperor, I know that his childlish side can be annoying, but I get the feeling it's there for a reason. After all, the real Togon Temür started ruling when he was 13, so I understand why the character is portrayed this way. But I think we are about to see him grow more mature. At the end of episode 16, he despised himself for showing such a weak character, especially in front of Nyang, and in this episode, he is finally starting to take actions. I think his character is going to get more and more interesting as the drama goes on.

Oh, and the fangirl inside me totally miss his old hairstyle from when he was still in Goryeo, but that's not relevant.

But now, back to the episode in itself...

Why wouldn't you guys let her watch the show !!!!!

The girl you both love, and who you know is having one hell of a hard time, is having fun, watching a show that she obviously find fascinating. In such a situation, the most agreable thing to do is to simply LET HER ENJOY IT ! But now, you guys decided it was the perfect time for a pissing match! I know that it's the kid who started it all, but Wang Yoo you're a grown up man, so don't encourage him ! Now the moment is totally ruined !

Anyway, loved that episode, I'm totally shipping TaNyang, and I'm still in love with that music.

I get the feeling that episode 18 is going to be interesting, so stay tuned !

Very, very good start.

So, I'd like to say a few things about this first episode.

Overall : a very good start, we are in the story already, so no draggy beginning. Also the plot is original, the characters are introduced, and the chemistry between the leads is promising. So far it's fun, hot and interesting. I'm sold. I will follow this drama for the next 10 weeks.

Now, a few things...

1st : SHOWER SCENE !!!!!!!

hm, needed to say that. It wasn't necessary but god that was good to see.

2nd : The nerdy library girl inside me is totally jealous of his apartment.

3rd : Only Kim Soo Hyun can make a class about insect copulation sound funny. And also kinda hot.

4th : So far I like the kind of couple they'll make, even if it's starting to remind me of Queen In-Hyun's man (the intellectual difference, the fact that she is a actress, the fact that he's stuck on modern korea when he actually want to go home), but I'm sure the drama will get its own originality.

5th : She's the girl that died long time ago, that he saw again a few years ago and wish to find but she actually doesn't remember him ? Moon/Sun much ? Naaaa, I don't care, I love those kind of plot. But still.

^^

Nice episode. Mixed feeling about the characters though...

I just watch episode 11 and I enjoyed it a lot.

I think that so far, my two favorite characters are Yeoung Do and Bo Na.

But I just can't get Eun Sang :

1 - that girl is in need of a sense of humor (seriously, it's okay to laugh once in a while! You don't have to be scared and sad about everything like a little bunny). For example : the swimming pool scene ! Nothing, not a tiny smile ? I just can't get it !

2 - The "camp fire +'I missed you a lot' " scene sounded so fake to me that I completely agreed with Kim Tan looking at her like she's high on drugs. And seriously resting on a shoudler that's so far away must have been really painful ! It's like they have a big "WE SHARE NO CHEMISTRY WHATSOEVER" written all over their face.

3 - Fall for Yeoung do already ! Don't you see he's much better ?! Serisouly, he nearly broke my heart when he asked her if she really loved Kim Tan. Once again, Kim Woo Bin proved to have more than just one facial expression.

Also I don't blame Rachel for being constantly angry at Kim Tan. That guy was comforting her, his hand on her shoulder, and yet he still found normal to jealously watch Eun Sang and Yeoung Do. Wake up ! You can't comfort your crying fiancée AND long for your impossible love at the same time, that's just wrong !

But there were some nice scenes in this episode :

1- All those involving Yeong Do : at least when he stares, he always seem to have a reason, he doesn't just stare for staring's sake. I really like Kim Woo Bin's acting. He's not just an eye candy here.

2- There was also that scene when Eun Sang's mother wanted to defend her daughter being insulted by Kim Tan's mother, but couldn't because she wouldn't translate. It was heartbreaking.

And please, please tell me they are going to live at Bo Na's place ! That girl is really BFF potential ! I love how she's unwillingly friendly with her, that's hillarious and sweet.

In the end of the episode, I was imaginating the cars waiting and the drivers asking themself "What are they doing, holding hands on the middle of the road like that ? Is that some kind of cult ?"

I'll watch episode 12 tommorrow for sure !

Best episode so far

I think this episode was the best so far. The way the time-travelling was used to serve the episode and the characters, the way the relationship between the different character evolved during this one episode : it really marks a twist in the drama's plot. Plus the acting was good.

Dreams in Dramaland are never useless !

True enough, I did say that the weird enlightening dream was an easy move in episode 3, but now that SHE has them too, this element is starting to get really interesting. And now that their are trying to know wheter what they saw was real or not (cf : the scar) it's even promising and exciting.

Now episode 4 left us with a weird cliffhanger, and episode 5 preview is making me curious .

What will happen next ?

Why ?

The episode was good, really, I loved it. But why do it the easy way ?

Why is he suddenly having a dream of what their live could have been and wake up with feeling for her. This is great, but this is way too easy. Now he loves her, and we will never know how their relationship would have evolved if they kept being enemies the way they used to! This twist is a bit disapointing, but it's only the 3rd episode, many things can happen.

I'm looking forward to watching episode 4 !

Interesting, but dangerous

The story is still good, the relationship between the characters is slowly building itself up, and I can't wait to see what's going to happened to the main leads.

But I get the feeling that this kind of drama is dangerous. The storyline seems fragile and with the time-machine element I'm afraid that the writers can do pretty much anything they want with the plot.

I hope it won't turn out to be a total disappointement, but for now I'll just keep watching !

Because now it's still incredibly fun!!

Unexpected and Fun

One thing is for sure : the story doesn't drag for 5 episodes before getting into the subject : the characters are introduced (BTW great cast), the situation is there, we know what we're getting into and this sounds FUN. I mean really fun, and touching, and I love it.

So Fre*king Cute

I'm writing this little review to say that this episode was - in my opinion - the cutest episode of this entire drama (and I've seen episode 20), maybe even the cutest episode of all the dramas I've seen so far (all 120 of them).

Those moments with the couples, and the Peter Pan scene, were all genuinely cute, not full of forced aegyo like we often see in k-dramas, but filled with an actual, moving, touching, heart-melting cuteness that makes you feel like hugging all the characters.

I loved it.
