People were not kidding about the ridiculous revenge plot. Not only did it take over the whole drama but it became irrational and made the character seeking said revenge very unlikeable. I felt no empathy for him. Way to bring baggage from the past into the innocent lives of the present and then block out every rational person’s advice to rethink the absurdness of needing to punish SOMEONE for his past pain. I So annoyed and just trying to finish this ish.
Other than that, FL was super annoying with her obsession but once main ship started getting closer, they were a pretty adorable couple. The ML’s assistant’s relationship was cute too.
Nope. They never show him with any of the other women / concubine people keep throwing at him, even though they keep that one that worked her way in. I much appreciated that they only show him with FL and head over heels in love at that. My heart wouldn’t have been able to handle anything else.
I have to be honest, I was impatient at some parts and read recaps until it got to something I really wanted to see. I read recaps for a lot of the second arc after her childhood. I like the story but 70+ episodes was daunting and I couldn’t take all the heartache from everyone constantly scheming. I loved the strong FL though, especially when she started showing her claws after marriage. ML was a surprising romantic, worked to get the wifey he wanted, and he’s super devoted. You’ll have to quite a while before this happens though.
I’m on episode 6 and having the hardest time keeping track of the characters and some of the looks are so similar that I just can’t tell the characters apart. *stressed*
Fairly straight forward and simple story although it had great potential. At least there’s no angst and characters were pretty honest about their feelings and took action to progress their romance.
Superb acting by every single actor! I can’t find much flaw. At one point I thought the climax was kind of anticlimactic (ep. 14) and then I realized it was not about that twist but the resolution and continued growth of the characters that was meant to shine through. It totally came through, the individual growth and the bond as a family. This drama was honestly beautiful and it is one of the BEST dramas of 2020 if not number one. I did not hit the forward button once and I have been pretty impatient with dramas during this pandemic quarantine. It’s a must watch!
I fell in love with Kim Soo Hyun again. He needs to be in more dramas. I enjoyed His acting from the way his smile didn’t reach his eyes when he put in a front of happiness, how he controlled single drops and even showers of tears, and then that smile that would sneak out as he gained true happiness. Ugh. My heart!
Why does it feel like people expect ML to not pursuit his own happiness and put his brother way ahead of everything else? I’m on episode 10 and I have yet to see anyone wholeheartedly tell him to take care of himself.
What did I just watch? End of episode 49 had me a little confused, but 50 kept me going “WTF?!” The beginning of the last episode was just trippy and mostly loaded with flashbacks and then the random hilarious product placements in the middle.
This drama had so much potential and for the most part was cute and gave off warm fuzzies. You just have to be BFF with your fast forward button to get through the slow moments, fillers And flashbacks.
Must they make the girl naive about love and attraction every time? I get that ML is aggressive, but it's pretty obvious that he likes her. She just gets pissed off as soon as she sees him. I know it was hate at first sight, but she has repeatedly admitted that he is always there for her and is good to her.
Also, how many guys are into her? I know she's all super kind with a side of spank, but there's not much more than that. She has one dude after another hitting on her and she is completely clueless about what they are doing? Come on now.
In other words, yet again, a drama that keeps disappointing me with a FL without some commonsense and understanding of the opposite sex and, worse, without any growth. At least ML, you see he is going back and forth between chilling the heck out and being a knucklehead. You can see the gears turning as he reflects on his actions. "My rash behavior has brought harm to your gentle soul..." (ep. 17) LOL
When do ML and FL get together? When does ML become a little less rough around the edges? Idk how to grit and forward through 50 episodes (I’m only on ep. 2 ^o^ ~hehe)
So annoyed and just trying to finish this ish.

I needed to vent. Thanks.
