I agree! I also didn't like the AI parts. In my opinion, if they didn't have the actors, they should've just let the respective characters tell the stories without these scenes.

The actor's chemistry and the overall very interesting plot more than makes up for it though!

I just hope in future episodes the AI parts won't increase.

I personally love toxicity and dark romance so I wouldn't have a problem with this one being exactly that.

Can someone spoil me regarding how different the novel is from the series and whether there's a happy ending in there? I think I found a comment here a few days ago but can't find it any longer...

Also, do we know the exact ages of the characters? Both Zhen Xin and Fang Chi as well as Zhang Zhun and Gao Zhun. The only thing I remember being mentioned is that Zhen Xin is in his 20s.

This series is so so incredibly underrated. I get that not too many people watched it bc there isn't good official subs but 7.8 is criminal omg. This easily became one of my fav shows of this year, it has everything really. I just finished it and I'll certainly remain here mentally for a long time.

Sugar dog life is a nice "fluffy" show but I'd absolutely recommend you to watch happy of the end if you can handle the heavy topics. It's so exceptionally done!

The on1y one, also Taiwanese, is currently airing. I find the vibe to be similar at times. Even though I personally don't like dramas with a school setting anymore, The on1y one is really different, it's so well executed, don't shy away from giving it a shot.
