im having some qualms about the idea of KJ and TH being in a relationship. on one hand i agree with THs sister…
TH's sister is taking out some unknown frustration on TH/KJ. I don't think it's just about the kid and what KJ said. Her behaviour outside the possibility of a relationship between those two has always hinted there's something else going on with her. All that loud declaration about dedicating her life to raising TH's daughter? Errr. She's also quite insensitive and nosy.
It really just boils down to the daughter. If she disapproves of the relationship, I doubt TH will move ahead with it because in all of this, I believe he'll put her first.
Adult children do not owe their parents forgiveness and care after being abandoned/abused by said parent growing up. Parents are human, yes, and have flaws. But when you lay a bad foundation for your relationship with your kids, you (and others around you) don't get to demand they treat you with any kind of affection especially when you haven't made any concrete move to mend the relationship. Dong Seok's mother most likely has a sad back story, still will not excuse the fact that she was not there for him when he needed her and she's reaping the fruit of her in(actions).
Now, there's Seon Ah who has made her parenting mistakes and is doing every damn thing to make sure she repairs and maintains a good relationship with her young son. Does she have two heads? No wonder Dong Seok is questioning whether his mother even loved him at all.
I usually cannot stand adult characters who need to be protected from the big bad world but there's something about Lukchup that makes me want to wrap him in bubble wrap and keep him safe for as long as possible. And he's not cringey in the least. Actor gets 8/10.
Shinomiya laughing was so cute. But I'm starting to find Fukuhara tiresome - his gay panic is carried away and…
Maybe I missed it but I don't recall Fukuhara being wary of Shinomiya because he's male. It's always been more about how he finds himself falling for his charms even when he doesn't want to/tries not to. With his bad luck, he's probably doesn't have any romantic experience. That punch was pure confusion.
This show has beautiful dialogue, lovable characters, unexpected villains, dark themes, sweet moments and a progressive plot. The lead actors bodied their roles. It can be a little slow sometimes (even though the ending was rushed) and you might have an issue with the main character's actions in the early eps (keep watching) but the storytelling makes it worth it.
Don't worry about the negative comments, people just big mad about the ending and trashing the show. (- note to a future watcher)
Ugh - did he put a slice of processed "cheese" in the noodles? That's corn oil with food coloring and chemical…
Lol @ "cheese". You can spot the PP from a planet away. It's a fail though like you pointed out.
Lots of comments saying Porsche brushed his teeth but also saying Kinn didn't use a lube or condom. Meanwhile I think no teeth brushing happening but lube and condom did.
Every episode, veering between "oh my god!" and "oh...my....god" is why I keep watching this drama. Sometimes I want to fold the characters into a hug and other times I want to smack them upside the head. At this point, I don't even care about backstories. I just want to see what they get up to each week. Will miss them a lot when the drama ends. My favourite part is when the siblings walk behind each other without saying a word. It's just so natural.
Too many whiny unlikeable characters in this drama for my liking. The only character I can stand is Kim Bim's character. He's blindly loyal but his motives are pure, at least as far as I have seen up to ep 9.
That "Africa" scene gave me the cringes. The zebras? Lions? Giraffes? The background music? Lord give me strength.…
Was really looking forward to this drama but ep 3 and every time "Africa" is mentioned I want to don boxing gloves. Guess it's time to move. I'll read a recap when the drama is done.
That "Africa" scene gave me the cringes. The zebras? Lions? Giraffes? The background music? Lord give me strength. Is there nobody in the filmmaking process with the ability to use Google? Let's start with the fact that AFRICA IS NOT A COUNTRY. You can just stab a pencil at a map real quick and pick a bloody country on the continent (there are 54), it's not that hard.
Then the stereotype that if you're going "abroad" to do charity work it must be to AFREECA because uno, they're all poor, without shoes, food or clean water. At least everyone was wearing clothes and there were no flies chasing kids around.
Rant over. Back to watching Lee Sung Kyung be a badass.
PS: If you feel the need to explain anything, please don't.
