I'm enjoying this so far. I took one look at the synopsis and the trailer and knew not to have expectations. My favorite character so far is the chairman. Hopefully he doesn't have any bodies in his past. Looking at the characterization of Hyewon, she's exactly as she should be - grey. Her range of motion/emotion is way less than the average person's. I think the actress is doing a good job. I'm glad she's getting her big break early in her career.
Hye Won really challenging TaeOh like that. Girl needs to calm down.
All the way down. That club scene I thought she had something on that dude but it was just talk. Then she wants to protect Tae oh when she doesn't have any power. She needs to be a lot more strategic else she'll mess things up for him.
Chaebol brats get my goat every time. Midway through ep 2 and I want to smack this one so bad. Spoilt, sheltered and sure to cause trouble for other characters without serious repercussions to themselves. The "I must get whatever I want" attitude is annoying to watch meanwhile you have no idea what the real world is saying. Ugh. For now, watching this show for the two male leads. Everyone else is incidental.
My favourite thing about this drama is that THERE IS NO REDEMPTION ARC for anybody! Redemption arcs for shitty characters are one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to k-dramas. Not here. Everybody straight to jail or the other side. As should be.
Stuff like this makes me distrust any news on MDL. The "brother" should have been in quotes since it most likely comes from "hyung". The very least the writer can do is make corrections/revisions to their stuff when they realise they made a mistake but I'm guessing churning out content is more important than the quality of the content.
The funny part of these relationship gossipy things is two young people might just be having a fling and next thing they have to be in a "relationship" cos some tabloid stalked them. The only "vice" they're allowed (drinking) will kill their livers. Can't even have coitus in peace and you have to fake being in love or something. Then have to allow an acceptable time to pass and break up due to "busy schedules".
Also, MDL copying gossip from Dispatch will never not be cringe.
This has gotten better. I love how clear the characters' motivations are. Everyone, so far, is being consistent. I'm a little worried about the 2FL. She's too good to be true and she likes the ML. Sure to cause trouble later. The grandpa was a pleasant surprise. Was expecting him to be super evil but he's just your regular chaebol grandfather evil.
Love the FL. Short of the writers making her a damsel in distress later, I doubt I'll stop loving her.
(Seeing fewer harsh comments and hope it stays that way. )
I loved the first episode. I'm very easy to please and this had everything that makes me happy. A solid cast (the support roles are 10/10), a simple plot (so far), fiesty FL and ML. Could do without the annoying family members but that's what the ff button is for if it gets too much. Fingers crossed the latter episodes deliver as well.
Giving this a perfect ten. It's been six episodes of pure joy and the finale sealed the deal. Like most of Na PD's shows, this trip has become my happy place.
I must be easy to please because I'm loving every minute of every episode (except the ones with Yu-ra obvs. want to bitchslap her into the metaverse). I have read neither webtoon or novel (thank goodness) so I can judge the drama solely based on itself.
The thing is, Yu-ra, and every sub-plot that comes with her, is a product of Ji-hyuk changing the present. He can to a large extent tell what his actions will result in since he's been in the future but Yu-ra is a loose end he didn't quite see coming. I hate her character but by Jove I'm invested in her take-down. It's going to be more satisfying than whatever is coming for Su-min and Min-hwan.
Also loving Ji-won's development in ep 13. She's not really done anything "bad" to anyone which is consistent with her character but Su-min is not an enemy you leave alive. Glad she's realised it and is going to do the needful. The only inconsistency I'm seeing is that one minute she says she doesn't care about fate. The next she's taking a decision that doesn't upset the balance too much, ie transfer her fate to Su-min, when she could just poison her or something.
None. Its people around her made her what she became. Their is always a trigger moment for everyone, when it happens,…
we literally saw her refuse to help a total stranger in the bathroom who asked for a pad and make a snide comment to boot. might not diagnose her with anything but she's a mean bitch and a terrible person to everyone she believes is beneath her. she only sucks up to people who have more power than she does or she wants to get something from. has nothing to do with anyone making her anything.
A good show. They didn't quite nail it all the way but they did justice to the premise and the acting was mostly on point. Definitely worth the watch. Added an extra point to my rating for Cha Yeo Woon's puppy expressions. So cute.
One good thing about not-so-popular dramas is that the riff-raffs drop it early because of their silly biases. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
That said, enjoyed the first two episodes. I love that the ML is doing a romance drama. He's a fine actor and will do justice to the role. Not a fan of the FL but so far so good.
Maybe I have too much faith in the writers but the way I see it, the game is still in development and is struggling to keep up with the user, Tae Myung Ha. Explains the missions/scenarios that don't seem to be connected to anything and all the glitches. That said, cuteness overload. The acting is A+ even from most of the side characters. Hoping all the actors land roles in bigger productions soon.
Wondering if there's anyone who still thinks the leads don't have chemistry or that Na In Woo was the wrong choice for this drama. I don't wanna fight. Just hoping you've changed your mind.
