Because the show is about Seventeen and not him. That he's not shown much doesn't mean he's not there being a guide. He's always with them. Pay attention. Na PD did not take a stressful roundabout route from Korea to Japan to avoid being seen by carats to be called "useless". An editorial choice was made to focus on the boys because that's who viewers want to see.
There's a whole YouTube channel with Na PD content for anyone who's who wants to see him so badly.
It's one of the best traveling show I have seen for years. Nana is absolutely of no use apart from "managing"…
Managing games is all Na PD does in front of the camera on all his shows. Saying he's of no use outside that like what else is he supposed to do in front of the camera? He's a director for heaven's sake.
Glad to see Cha Eunwoo getting more diverse roles. I'm impressed by his continuous improvement. Compared to his earlier works, he's gotten much better as an actor. Hope to see him stretch himself even more in this role.
I bet Korean at those times didn't really have the ambition to conquer other countries. They were lack of population…
You're right but my comment has nothing to do with real Korean history. The kingdom in this drama borrows historical elements from Joseon but it is a fictional place.
I came here to see if others were as grossed out by the reasons HS said she liked TH. There are SO many better…
Hyoshim so far hasn't shown any signs of having daddy issues. Like, none at all so that whole thing came out of left field. I do agree that the writer could have handled that dialogue better. But I think majority of watchers got what she meant without being grossed out. (It's not like it was a bedroom scene with her calling him "Daddy" 😂)
A decent watch by all standards. For a rom-com, I enjoyed all the other relationships more than the leads'. Love how things turned out for the friend group.
The king is such a disappointment. Does not expand the kingdom or consolidate his power. All that killing only to be a drunk gluttonous skirt chaser? Can't even handle nightmares/ghosts. Fingers crossed the consort's son gives us the royal villain we deserve.
Given how much people went on and on about not wanting the same ending as the Japanese version, I'm surprised at the anger at this ending. It is an open ending, right? Unless I'm mistaken, that shot of them hand-in-hand is a memory from when they were dating.
i think it's part of her revenge. she's only putting up with him to set him up with her best friend.
He's already suspicious of her as it is. She's basically walking a tightrope. Plus compared to him physically? She can't even wrest her hand out of his hold. And the only way to stop being his verbal punching bag will be to leave him. Which she can't do just yet.
Agree. These things happen in friend groups way more than people admit. of course no one is waiting eight years…
He never dated? It was mentioned? I remember it being mentioned that Yong-pll never dated anyone else but nothing was said about Sangdo.
Also feel like that entitled bit is unfair because he did not once impose his crush on Samdal. He tried to be there when she needed help and stepped away when he was not needed. Also, there's nothing about Sangdo that suggests him having the personality to become an incel. He is genuinely kind and caring. (Not to mention, rich and attractive.)
I feel like the writers wanted us to emphasize with him in this episode and understand his side of things, and…
There is a whole drama with all the necessary details. No need to make anything up. Let's stick to facts and not make projections.
1. Yongpil knows Sangdo does not stand a chance. He's not competition. He feels sorry for him that's why he comforts him. Yongpil is not hurting because of this situation. Hell, he felt more hurt finding out about the ex-boyfriend than by anything Sangdo has said/done.
2. "The girl his friend likes" IS his childhood friend. Sangdo did not start liking her after Yongpil. He always liked her but stepped back when he found out they liked each other and were seeing each other keeping the "bro code" you like to refer to. Samdal and Yongpil have been broken up for eight years and up until 2/3 episodes ago vehemently denied being anything more than just friends.
3. Potential of hurting the girl. How? Realistically, the worst that would happen is a strain on their friendship. Given how she ghosted all her friends for eight years, a little strain is not about to open any wound more than the person who actually caused the wound.
Let's step outside the facts of the drama for a second. You're well within your rights to dislike the character because he has displayed behaviour that goes against your moral values. Doing so based on something research has shown is a set of arbitrary rules created by men to uphold behaviours they should have outgrown before becoming adults? That's why I used the word "silly". It's a whole different story if you're a teenager.

So a man cannot like his friend (because Samdal is as much his friend as Yongpil is)? He hasn't hurt anyone. Even Yongpil is aware of the crush and has comforted him on occasion because he's an understanding and empathetic man, not clinging to some silly code like a teenage boy.
I’ll defend San Do character a bit because I really like how hi is written (except for the part that he likes…
