Came upon this by chance on YT and the first episode was entertaining. The first thing I established, this has a het couple in the lead and maybe side couples that are gay.

Me suspects this show is being review-bombed and that's just sad because the actors delivered and it's funny enough that I want to watch the next episode and see how things develop. The FL is on the annoying side but it's bearable and hopefully her character improves with time.

But hear me out. I think you're projecting your frustration at "negative" comments about the character here. All I did was point out a single trait but you're going way out of scope to address things I didn't say or imply.

Can't remember why I stopped watching this at ep 10 but I came to it and finished it. The subject matter was handled with such sensitivity and the actors delivered on their roles. Heart-warming stories, funny moments, and the bad guys get their just due. Plus the end was beautifully tied together. Great drama.

Damn. The tone shift just gave me whiplash. Not sure I want to deal with something heavy but it's Namkoong Min. Also 80% certain at this point that the role was written with him in mind.

Santa is such a beautiful boy. Lovely smile. Has such bright and expressive eyes. And can act. Really looking forward to how he grows as an actor.

Hope we get some angst next episode.

No idea where the plot is going, or if it's going, but the actors are doing a slap-up job. That's enough for me.

The bar scene at the end where she gets her own back made it all worth it.

Maybe I'm old is why I understand the FL. She wanted to be married and have a family. And the truth is that she and SML were in love and really good together before the breakup so it totally makes sense that she'd get back to him. Maybe the anger at her is that she gave in too quickly. But what's the point of dragging things out when she wants to be married to someone who gives her ease? And here's this guy her parents approve of, and she still likes, who wants to be married to her.

Pride is not saying no to her ex. That's ego. Pride is calling off the wedding.

Can't wait for ep 5 so I know what exactly to curse the SML out for.

Who knew someone could make blinking look so cute? Jung Ji Ho is becoming one of my favourite male leads ever. And the comic timing is spot on. Enjoying this show so much. Although I could do without the wrist grabbing. Given how slim the FL's hands are, it looks more dangerous than romantic. To me.

I like how the FL and SML are friends (something a lot of people seem to miss). Yes, he likes her and wants to go out with her. He also cares about her, enjoys her company and they have fun together. They're also honest with each other. Just sad for him cos he will get his heart broken for sure.

I found Do Hae Yi a little annoying in ep 1 but I'm so in love with her right now. She's so bright and cheerful and super cute. At first, it felt like a front to cover all her worries about money but I think she's really just a sweet girl making the best of what life has thrown at her.

Hope we get to see more scenes of the mums together. They have such great chemistry.

It's good. Super cute and fun.

This drama was a hot mess. Scratch the surface, and there's stuff that doesn't make any or very little sense. But dammit, it delivered on the entertainment, suspense, and drama and that's why I enjoyed watching it. The characters got under my skin so bad. I don't think I have wanted as many characters in one drama dead as I did in this one. Not to add how frustrating the sisters were.

If there's one thing I'm unsatisfied about, it's that we didn't get to see Jang Ma Ri pay for her role in things. I wanted her to be exposed as a liar and lose her position but that didn't happen.

That's the part I expect to see an explanation for. I think the killer might have freed him to use his death the way he did?

How did An Tae Ho make it to the wedding even though he was all injured the day before?

The thing is that he was being tortured, not being beaten to death so the focus of the guys that had him was to cause him pain. Plus he'd been beaten a lot as a kid and is a construction worker so his body is more conditioned than an average person's. Then add the fact that bleeding can look fatal until wounds are cleaned up. And all the hate that's fueling him. He won't be 100% but he'd have enough strength to find his way to the wedding.

Drinking culture in Korea is correctly reflected in k-dramas. That's a fact. That's not what your comment was about or what I was responding to.

You highlighted a specific behaviour shown in dramas ie women getting drunk and passing out with no regard for their safety, and implied women are being influenced to do this in their real lives because it's shown in dramas. Or did I misunderstand you?

If the character's he's playing is funny, then yes, you find plenty similarities. But it's not a bad thing. He does comedy really well. I actually think some of the characters are written with him in mind.

You think Korean women are watching these dramas and thinking "oh nice. I'll replicate this behaviour in my real life"? I think they have enough judgment to separate a drama cliche from reality.

Now, if you're thinking of women in other parts of the world having a misconception about how this sort of behaviour could play out in Korea, that's a different thing entirely. And even that can be argued.
