Recovering from an illness so I'm really weak but I just expended all my energy laughing as Ji Ho pushed away Sang Eun after contorting himself to wear his slippers so he doesn't let go of her. That bit of comedy is worth the entire episode.

Am I the only one pissed at Kim Yuri for eating the old woman's rice cake when it wasn't offered to her? That's hella rude IMO. Someone invites you into their home and feeds you and you eat something they clearly do not want to share. The old woman didn't have to apologise to her for anything. People who don't have respect for boundaries are a no-no.

I did not see anyone calling writers stupid in the comment section... nor calling viewers stupid.Plot holes are…
You've taken my statements out of context (and to be honest most of it is in my head as I'm too lazy to write a lot so it's not your fault). My comment is not a response to any one person. More a reaction to how the comment sections of these types of shows are pretty much from the get-go.

Maybe I should have said, "what's being referred to as plot holes here are devices to move the story forward" which every suspense drama has which leads to my statement about tropes. Plus there's still a lot of episodes left to explain certain actions/inactions. (Tbh even if they're not properly explained, so long as I'm entertained, I'm good.)

I'm not even disagreeing with people pointing out plotholes. You like the genre so, of course, you want it to be well done. My goal is not to stop anyone from critiquing the drama. Just don't put so much energy into critiquing that you miss out on the fun/entertainment part of things. Maybe I'm the one who isn't invested enough and that's on me.

I'm curious about why you marked your reply as a spoiler even though there's no spoilers in it. Done the same in case this is some unspoken rule of engagement I've missed.

These drama writers aren't stupid. Everything is exaggerated for effect. That's why it's a drama. Plus how entertaining is this going to be if there were no plotholes? The murders are averted and then what? The perp is exposed by episode 3 and then what?

What makes a drama fall into a particular genre is that it ticks certain tropes and so far this drama is ticking all the boxes.

The people enjoying the drama aren't stupid either. That's what suspension of disbelief is for. Nobody is watching these shows as a part of course requirements at a police university.

Funny enough if you watch enough true crime documentaries, these "plotholes" will seem like child's play. In reality, people do way weirder things. Truth is stranger than fiction. So maybe take a break from yelling in the comments about how senseless the show is and enjoy it a little bit. Put those brain cells toward coming up with some theories.

I hope, when the switch happens, that Seung Cheon is bad bad so he can put conscience aside and deal with everyone who messed with him.

So much sweetness. Those two can act. Acting subtle moments like that takes skill.

The scene on the bridge was really sad but pulled me out of the story. I know, I know, they have to stay true to the characters. "I'm leaving" and the next thing is a flood of tears. Maybe because in the scene with Sand, the dialogue showed a more mature Eiw.

Ok, I love this series, but I was just thinking about the fact that the couples in bls always stand directly opposite…
Not just you. lol. Sometimes it's the camera angle too.

Good to see the ML opening up. He obviously has some kind of personality disorder hence his behaviour. All for the silliness in ep 2. Fingers crossed the drama keeps this energy.

This is such a strong start. Hooked. And the queer character is very realistically done. Don't know where it'll go from here but I'm excited to find out.

PMY has such a beautiful and expressive face. Her smile is positively radiant. And she was on point in this episode. I'm not sure where people get the time to scrutinise every curve in her jawline and cheeks but cheers to them. Pretty sure I'll need to test the block feature at some point to avoid the silliness.

In Kyung can be all sanctimonious because she actually had a privileged upbringing. The rich aunt raised her and even though she declares a dislike of the old woman, she still treats her like a backup plan. She doesn't have the same relationship with poverty that In Joo and In Hye have. She fancies herself some kind of avenging angel when she's an alcoholic incapable of keeping her shit together. I vote her most likely to ruin everything and get herself and her sisters killed.

In Joo is a tool, used by all and sundry to achieve their own aims and to be discarded after. She's the average "good person" whose morals are eroded in the face of what they want the most. Any move on her part to bring down the society is for her own survival and not any moral thing.

In Hye has the clearest motivations: she wants to get somewhere, she knows who can get her there and she's willing to trade for it. She's a brat, yes. And she'll be a cold-blooded villain (the best kind) if she ever goes bad.

While it'll be nice and entertaining to see some badassery, I'm pretty satisfied with the consistency of the characters so far. Their motivations are different, which is why they move and act as individuals and not The Powerpuff Girls everyone seems to want them to be. This is not a story about how three loving sisters come together to bring down a big bad wolf.

The plot is a little thin around how the orchid works but it makes for good suspense so I don't mind it. Looking forward to the next two episodes. And zero romance.

It's a drama with a bit of suspense but the genre that it has the most is makjang, which is not exactly my favorite,…
What elements in the drama point towards makjang? Because I'm not seeing it. Unless the meaning of makjang changed.

In-hye is the only sister capable of surviving in this world. Like the aunt, she's clear-eyed and has the capacity for necessary evil that her sisters don't. She might be the one to save them at the end of the day.

Okay. They have my attention.

Don't understand why Brother Judge didn't let the police (or his brother) know that the convict had the addresses of some of the jurors.

Seems Kopiko will also be making an appearance in this drama.

I love how consistent this drama was. All the sub-plots were neatly tied up, no romance to muddle things up and the characters were likeable. Kim Se Jeong was bright as Ma Eum, it was almost impossible to believe she was the same actor that did Uncanny Counter. Every time Nam Yoon Su smiled, the world just seemed like a slightly better place. Choi Daniel made you want to tell him all your problems.

There is a place for dramas like this and even if there are things I personally wished were done differently, what they did worked for me still.

Do not watch if you're looking for plenty of angst, drama or action. This is feel-good on steroids.
