Feast for the eyes.

May 2026.
Another epic watch, with some tragic opening scenes that lay the foundations of the story.
This is a Xianxia / fantasy and it's beautiful.

I did find myself getting impatient with the FL character, Yan Hui, at times, although she has a good heart. Her story is revealed gradually, but I found it all a bit drawn out on more than one occasion.

A leading villain who's totally obsessed, and the cause of much suffering, seemed able to do as they pleased. Those sitting in judgement were often far worst than the Demons they judged.

A large cast and selection of characters, a fair bit of tragedy, but also lighter, amusing moments.

Hou Ming Hao made this drama for me, to be honest. His other-wordly looks are perfect for these roles, and he's a good actor.

A satisfying ending, which felt somewhat 'bolted on', but still a decent watch overall.
