God.Lee!!! The drama with its badass op ML and supersmart FL so common in most cdrama and whats new for me was that the ML already has his own harem which begs the question, How they'll pull out the smooth romance on this, since it's not easy to make smooth/good romance in this kind of condition, whether it work or not, I find it not very strong plot in a character development of ML FL.
But for now I'll wait till mid 15 episodes, and if it still couldn't break the tension of the romance... I'd say this drama going no where
I like Julia as the FL... Even though she was just 20 at the time of this drama and the ML was 8 years older than her, the chemistry so beautifully well done, I try this drama since I saw her in one of the best fantasy cdrama LOVE OF THE DEVINE TREE. Julia definitely one of the greatest young actress in cdrama industry.
The drama has some ups and down , even though the concept of time travel so well written it's so good, especially that particular episode where the FL reset her romantic encounter so genius decision. The problem was the story itself, it's good but it's not flawless like for eg. Jirong marriage issues so dumb and empty, I don't like them at all. The villain ? Meeh, just mediocre. The fact that the past ML only experience mentally and the future ML experience physically...damn! That's pretty neat indeed & the most important thing in the drama was the BGM, so amazing ❤️.
I got some issue after watching this drama... the story is a fictional imagination within a fictional story telling during historical era, that's the second cdrama plot ive ever seen and it always didn't end satisfaction though this drama doesn't have disappointed ending and the ML is okay but i'm not a fan... we don't know who he was in his original version and got jeopardize the character development of his historical version which is too over-exaggerate AF! though the comedy is there and Geng Hu Yuan ended up like his character in "Prisoner of Beauty", the FL act as a supporting character helping the ML to upper his level within the plot. The only thing i vastly praise this drama because of it's supporting role Female Characters, they all beautiful for some reason which captivate my attention. Like Sun Tan'Er (ML Wife) , she's gorgeous, smart, humble & kind. Lou Shu Wan (Sun Tan'Er Childhood friend) , she's very pretty,smart, matured & kind. Shao Xian Ying (Bandit leader Wife), she's a kind, calm & considerate. Nie Yun Zhu (ML friend), she's determine, kind & can adapt easily during difficult time. Yuan Jin'er (Nie Yun Zhu young sister), she's naive, hardworking & kind. Lu Hongti (Assassin), she's strong, attractive & very loyal. Lin Xi Gua (Bandit Leader adoptive daughter), she's innocent, Wild, gorgeous & kind. There's some unexplained sequences and some pivotal characters were never mentioned again. Over all its a good and entertaining drama. Even though Season 2 is in development, i'm not that hype at all.
A fantasy drama works when illogical things happening within the logical ideas, however this drama took too much advantage on illogical that made the storyline dull and poorly written . 25% it's a masterpiece 35% it's disappointment 40% it's just average I praise for its main OST and some of its BGM it's so well score. This drama exist purely for its title only, i.e. Romance must be the main thing in the plot for ML FL but seems like the chemistry too brittle and sensitive... There's lack of excitement. Apart from ML FL the others supporting characters just there with little to none character development like for eg. Ji Heng was written as an abomination character, what a writing indeed. The FL is a mischievous and childish character and seems like she was matured enough in some episodes but then back to square one. The plot hole is everywhere but then it reveal later as a cheap twist. The villain is dumb as always and the main antagonist just pops up as a guest role so that it will not affect the romance that was supposed to be the main pillar of the drama. Anyway it's the first fantasy cdrama I've seen which has 30+episodes and straight up become so ridiculous, it still watchable but boy it's overrated.
To be honest the above comment is purely from my opinion on this drama, if this drama possibly connected in a franchise like sequel or spinoff then I'm still missing to watch the others.
just started this one, i gotta say this drama rocks! this 2025 MELO MOVIE drama is a story about filmmakers and romance ... i like it so much, however this one even dive deeper inside the story about filmmaking. WOW. Nam Koong Min is so amazing, and Jeon Yeo Been exceeds my expectation... Her performance so natural and beautiful, i think she deserve a nomination at the Baeksang Arts Award for sure.
Yoo Na as a crazy girl!!? By the look of the teaser poster already looks slapstick funny🤣... Ahn Bo Hyun just became one of the most demanded k-actor after 2020, before that he just always supporting roles and his main roles so forgotten.
This drama start out very strong and i really praised it, but then it getting average but not bad... so interesting, full of anxious tension and fantasy-action add in a comedy even the romance so innocent with a strong bond of ML FL, so good. All casts really well written whether they are protagonist or a sneaky antagonists. Kim Ji hoon doesn't disppoint me with his historical character and of course Bo Na so adorable and i really love her character she really put all her skill. Also a new rookie actress Shin Seul Ki so cute with her performance. The King Eunuch stole most of the comedy scenes LOL
Oh no! The 8fttallghost just killed an unborn child wtf... This is serious now! The king doesn't need to seek forgiveness anymore,first get rid of him by force then many the other grudge spirits might be lighter to clean-off. Original Yoon Gap doesn't suit to exist anymore since now the king doesn't suffer from political issues but Evil spirit that hold intense revenge towards the king descendants... Ep.15-16 hopes it conclude in a good way where the king unborn child safe for some reason.
