The independent decision in the drama was mainly used, i praised for it's well written characters development of the ML/FL. The Vfx definitely well done. The MC so badass, his decision so cruel yet very cool & spectacular. Zang Ling He & Esther Yu got to play as couple Lead characters in the drama after a year this drama got release, JOURNEY TO YOU, imo it;s a good drama but esther character so forgotten, i don't like her role at all but in this one she fits very well in fact she stole the show everytime she made an appearance. In the Heavenly Immortal Realm all of them either stupid/idiot, coward or just ignorant. The disciple of the first god of War live so freely even the Realm doesn't have anything suspicious about him when he was the antagonist behind the scenes for 30,000 years + ... Seriously? very ridiculous, i mean some fools got blackmailed but why would i bother even the Head Lord himself so foolish in his decision. There's many WHY & HOW plothole in the drama. The most funniest thing to me was that Orchid aka Goddess attack the possess body of Dongfang by kissing him where it happen during her wedding day while Changheng the groom just watching them kissing so passionately. The first god of war so dumb she got her punishment when she bid her luck for a goddamn blind kid to raise him but when he grown up he became an unstable monster when his master died because he had a weakAss mentality. Episode 1-17 so far so good, Ep. 18-25 very chaotic storyline, it looks like it was force and sudden change on the spot during shooting. Ep.28 just became the most memorable episode in the drama itself. Also the ending seems too rush.The dad of Danyin is never shown again whether he's alright or not.
This is a clever way to spin off from the main drama, because to avoid the true depiction of the "Spice Up Our Love" from the novel exist in the No Gain No Love drama due to its solely focus on erotic & explicit intimate story line. Though this is not 100% in the universe of NGNL drama, it's a reimagining version from it's reshoot & different vision of the directing. I'm a bit confuse though how the ML so serious in the Novel & his first appearance in this spin off but then the second lead from the NGNL appear in her novel spinOff Dream sequences (not serious anymore) and he's very similar to the NGNL character so much, ig Maybe because the author was there inside of her own novel??
Even though the ML/FL doesn't have much interesting storyline in the drama, their parents arc so funny & entertained ... The best thing in this drama is the second ML/FL love story, so beautiful & well done. Ep.15 going to be the episode we're waiting for ...
Just watched ep.4, boy oh boy this drama is getting interesting really good... She maybe an indestructible demon but her biggest weakness is her emotional feelings towards the ML as ep. 4 indicated, from next ep. Onward this drama will change it into a fun-tastic Fantasy-Rom.Com-Law genre.

There's many unanswered questions but this sequel just became very interesting because of its amazing predecessor... This season 2 may be very intense & feel the modern action suspense thriller but the season 1 win it all with it's mystery premise & great characters development.

He's a great actor, I've seen him portray a spectacular character in MY JOURNEY TO YOU but the FL in the drama doesn't have much to deliver her acting facial expression and their chemistry too weak
It's so funny to see the ML dad's became mid 20s loverboy-guy, it surprised me. It's a sad situations for the 2nd lead even though every characters has their own happiness but except them. I'm sure ep. 13 or 14 there's going to be a happy chemistry between them (2nd lead)... And the most important thing is that in ep.12 the ML&FL finally revealed they are fully in love with one another not only passionate kiss but honeymoon night, now that's the development i eager to see in the ML&FL arc.
i'm exhausted watching this drama because of it's misunderstanding situations for the characters... there's a lots and lots and lots of misunderstanding that led to chaotic & conflict, it's the first time i've ever seen in a drama where there's too many misunderstanding storyline, this drama should have title "Till The End Of The Misunderstanding" ... it's not boring but boy there's many foolish characters like all the characters in the SECT are stupid & idiotic except FL adoptive father & ML Master (they are the best), it has emotional journey for the ML and i think it's so well written...There's 4 different timeline 1) 10,000 years ago 2) 10,000 later (which the drama mainly took place) 3) 500 years later 4) another 500 years later (wait, did the ML & FL had a daughter and she still a 4-5years old kid after 500years later???) . Why God of War/Protagonist/Devil God has the same face? Lets talk about the ending, not very well ending but it's acceptable, Ep. 1-19=WOW, Ep. 20-34= Okay, Ep. 35-40=WAIT... WHAAAT??!!! Anyway i watch this because i'm a fan of Bai Lu. It's a good Drama but didn't met my expectation to satisfy my taste. CG/VFX well done!
