Actually his boss didn't want him for this drama, XK made the decision himself coz he's intrigued with the character. His boss wants him to take internal company drama.

That video of him saying he wants XK to collaborate with Yangzi is back in 2019. He spread back that video to take credit of Xukai being casted with Yangzi due to his effort.

I think some viewers are impatient and downrated this due to annoying, controlling mom, childish BF, cunning/ruthless boss but all these are layout for the growth process. It's a good drama to reflect life. Let's see how's the score at the end.

Not sure though, WoF is on iqiyi, while BCE on Tencent. Iqiyi rarely had fast track. While Tencent almost every drama.

YZ got favourites and he didn't like if his employees didn't rely on him or against his arrangement. XK rebel once, since then he disturbs XK projects. He even got black navy to post negative things and downvoted XK dramas on Douban.

Normally this happen with dramas with less known production and those where the FLs designated by his company. His company favors actress more. Most male actors didn't got fair treatment. XK is lucky he got multiple hit dramas, so he got sought after. But due to this also his company is using him for resources exchange. But as of last year, I think slowly he's getting way how to control interference in his dramas.

MCH's mom really resemble Mrs Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. I applaud MCH for really being patient with her.

Whether it will harm the company or not, that is his call. He obviously not the type who concerns what might happen. He's more of what in front of him. We might say his current call will do more harm but that would be his call for later on for that don't you think. Any decision comes with risk. It's not our concern anyhow. I think for this situation people who are apologetic might be his pet peeves.

Have you ever been in working environment? Whether the troublesome girl will cause trouble in the future or not is no concern of him. He just care for the result. That girl accused MCH to save herself, he gave chances to MCH to do the same. But she didn't do it, instead she admitted it was her fault. So she was punished because of her fault. He said it right, employee who can't protect themselves don't deserve sympathy. That's just his way of working maybe. It's annoying, but they are a lot of nasty superiors out there. Toughen yourself up. In my situation, this kind of people shaped me.

I know you're not his drama watcher so you probably won't notice, but XK number of appearance in his lead dramas rarely exceed 50% of overall airing time. So this "he always had big ML and fans expected more screentime" is non-existent. He even got cut out in his own company drama. The fans who complained in BCE are his drama watchers who don't know the situation of female-centric etc etc. So, some might have disappointed because marketing heavily showing him and YZ but in the drama his appearance can be counted.

Just so you know, XK never choose drama because of pairing actress. Interest in the characters is his priority.

BCE airing didn't have anything to do with ABAY. They air on CCTV. The rumoured drama to be aired after LoS is Li Xian and Ren Min's drama. ABAY schedule depends on Hunan TV slot.
