As a fan of US version of CM, all I can say is they don't understand the essence of profiling at all. I know it's hard to carry this kind of investigation type so I don't have high hope for this in the first place. This is just like another investigation/crime drama.

What makes most excited about this drama is whether the scriptwriter able to recreate back the masterpiece of Yanxi Palace. SOYP was really well written and I hope this one could pull off the same feeling of excellent story writing.

Honestly if you pieces things up together from the beginning till the end, WYL is nothing more than a girl that desire to live a normal life with her loved ones. But things happen, fate takes place so she just act according to situation. While most people around her misjudged her, I'm glad Emperor, Late Empress, Fuheng see her for what she was.

I think MDL having system maintenance. coz I've seen almost all recent dramas having rating up and down.

I have to say, the opening of this drama give me eerie vibe in a good way and I've just started 1st episode but I can relate to it so much. Though there is no tag stated there'll be suspense or any investigation work in this drama, but I like the setup so far.

Yes! I agree with this. She got youthful look and can performed in-depth emotion.

True, own voice is better than the dubbed one. I hope Bailu will improve on that cause at the moment I can't stand at all her tone and pacing of the lines in this drama. It's too modern. Losing the aesthetic and poise of ancient times conversation.

I don't think beauty is the only reason for falling in love. He might be attracted to her quirky personality that poke his introverted self. You can see hidden amusement on his expression whenever Shanggu being playful and teasing others. I love Bai Jue's expression when Shanggu annoyed XueYing.

For me, she nailed the emotional scenes exceptionally in this drama, very patient acting in delivering it. and yes! she's good in comedy so I kinda wanna see her and Xu Kai doing comedy drama together.

Sheng family antiques help me survive this drama. I wish for more of their scenes along with their sis and King Han. Such a loving family atmosphere. ❤

For me, I watched Yanxi Palace and Arsenal Military Academy first but still I hadn't noticed him. It was Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain that blew me off. I just love his Wang Lu. Now, Bai Jue coming close in 2nd place. 😊

Agree on the Wu Huan part, I almost quit watching because they gave her so many scenes.

Bailu's tone in this drama is too modern, doesn't sound like people in the ancient times at all. I can't! I need to return Sword Brocade or Yanxi Palace to recover from this...

A bit draggy at the back but overall I like it. Got me hooked at the middle of the story, though I kinda had problem with Concubine Qiao's acting. Cringe for me.
