Flat Jokes, Basic Story
The drama didn’t really work for me as a rom-com. The comedy didn’t land and most of the jokes felt flat or kind of pointless. The story also felt pretty predictable and basic, without anything new or interesting to really pull me in, so it got boring at times. I also felt the lead actress still needs more improvement in her acting to fully take on a leading role. Was this review helpful to you?
Great cast, weak story
It became popular mainly because of its cast and heavy promotions. The actors are attractive and have good visuals, which helps keep viewers interested. However, the storyline feels quite shallow and predictable. Most scenes revolve around only two settings—the company and the palace—so the drama can feel repetitive after a while. There isn’t much depth in the plot, and it’s usually easy to guess what will happen next. Since it’s a romantic comedy, viewers may not expect something too serious, but even rom-coms can still have creative twists and stronger character development.
The biggest strength of the drama is definitely the cast and visuals, but if you’re looking for a rich story with suspense or emotional depth, it may feel disappointing. It’s more of a light, easy watch than a memorable masterpiece.

A Classic Chinese Drama
This drama came out over 10 years ago and I watched it when I was young. I recently saw it again on TikTok and decided to rewatch it. The story still holds up really well, and it’s one of the better Chinese historical romance dramas I’ve seen. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for something simple and purely historical. Was this review helpful to you?
Interesting, But Something’s Off
I’ve watched all six released episodes so far, but it still feels like the drama is missing something. The cast is excellent, and the storyline is interesting, yet it hasn’t fully captured my attention. I had higher expectations for this drama. Still, I plan to watch it until the end to support the actors. Was this review helpful to you?
Emotional Realism
It is a slow-paced drama, but it still keeps me curious about how the characters’ stories will eventually unfold. Instead of focusing on success or dramatic achievements, it highlights everyday life pressure, disappointment, and the emotional weight of simply trying to keep going. The story mainly explores life struggles and different coping mechanisms. Each character expresses their emotions in their own ways that are hard to understand at first.
Watching this can bring out familiar feelings like envy and anxiety, especially when seeing others succeed while you feel like you are falling behind. The drama captures this emotional experience very well. It doesn’t just tell a story, it reflects something many people may have felt or are currently going through.
Some dialogues feel a bit unusual or influenced by language differences, but the acting is strong enough to carry the emotions. The negative feelings in the story are also presented in a subtle, sometimes satirical way, which adds depth to the narrative.
Overall, it is a quiet but emotionally heavy drama.

A Love-Hate Psychological Drama
This drama is about human psychology—how people, when their emotions are at their peak, say and do things without thinking, which eventually end up hurting themselves. It pulls you into the complicated world of marriage and relationships, where cheating is clearly wrong and being cheated on is deeply painful. But how you handle it also matters. Trying to hurt the other person in return only leads to both sides suffering, and there are no winners in the end.
What makes their relationship even more complicated is that, even as time passes, the couple still hold on to familiar feelings of love and attachment toward each other, while at the same time hating each other for making their lives miserable. They are caught between love, attachment, resentment, and pain, making it difficult for either of them to truly let go.
The lead actors portray all of these conflicting emotions incredibly well, making their characters’ pain and struggles feel very real. The acting of every other actor is also superb. The OST songs are also heartbreaking and reflect the lead characters’ emotions very well. Together, the performances, story, and music make this one of the well-made K-dramas of its time. I highly recommend it.

Cinematic chaos
This drama is so cinematic—it feels more like watching a movie than a drama. It’s messy, chaotic, dark, and completely unhinged, but somehow that’s what made it such a fun watch. The story keeps spiraling in the most unexpected ways, and the title really says it all—the affair was literally just the beginning. 😂Not a perfect drama, but definitely an entertaining one. And Kim Hye-soo, Cho Yeo-jeong, and Kim Ji-hoon? What a cast. They really carried this messy story in such a fun way

Simple, Sweet One
It is a relaxing and enjoyable drama to watch. The story feels light, fun, and comforting, with no real villain or stressful conflict, which makes it easy to enjoy. It’s the kind of drama that can make you smile and feel happy after every episode. The actors are all so cute and charming, and their chemistry makes the drama even better. Their expressions and acting bring a lot of warmth to the story. The animation of the cells is also creative and funny, adding extra humor and making the drama unique.
Overall, Yumi’s Cells S3 is a fun and heartwarming drama that’s perfect if you want something entertaining, sweet, and stress-free. I really enjoyed watching it.
