Title The Resurrected Spoiler
Great drama but rating 6 for that ending and the completely illogical move Chao Ching pulled in the later half.…
No seriously, what had Chao Ching hoped to achieve by kidnapping the comatose body of Jin Jin? And why did it have to happen at such an important time, so close to finish line? It felt forced and written into the script only to bring in the typical conflict between heroes before the finale. It also lowers the viewers' investment in the mothers' revenge.
Coming from someone who cannot stomach gore and torture, I think that for a show all about torturing the torturer.....there wasn't enough torture of the torturer 😂 And like the creators didn't fully understand how horrific rape and torture truly is. Some of the comedic scenes added here and there, albeit very short, felt in poor taste. What was that speech by the criminal about only God being able to judge him with no other cues in the scene to show that the drama thinks he is being ridiculous? And more.

Ending theories:-
1) I don't think that is all there is to An Chi's involvement with the whole thing. How did she find out about Eason's side of the plan and why did she feel the need to warn the sister? Heck, the sister had even looked scared upon seeing her. Sure, we can guess that it could be Pong who told her and forced her using Mr. Yang who is clearly the main villain. But until we see it, this is going to be a mystery to think about. Not to say that I think she is an instrumental part of the crime like Jin Jin, I don't think she is that capable. But there is more to her motivations for sure. Her insistence on keeping the baby, wanting to see Shih Kai, etc. Maybe she had developed Stockholm's Syndrome, maybe for Shih Kai, maybe for someone higher up, and her pushing Jin Jin had been out of jealousy. She could have seen this as an opportunity to get rid of Shih Kai and prove herself to the higher up.
2) Jin Jin....oh boy. While pretending to be in a coma for 5 years seems like a stretch, her waking up right when the ambulance gets stopped seems a bit too coincidental. Though magic exists in this world so that would still be believable. But we have seen her move before so maybe she woke up a few days back and decided to pretend in order to understand the situation better. Comatose, she would have been privy to all their conversations around her after all. Plus, we know that this girl is a menace. Sure, she may do a bit to try and spare her friends (and her friends only, no remorse for the rest) from the worst, but when push came to shove, she still chose her ambitions over saving them (like letting Xin Yi get tortured when she most probably had the power to save her from it entirely). All while still in her teenage years too.
I also wonder if Chao Ching kidnapping Jin Jin had been because she had suspected that Jin Jin may have been pretending. Chao Ching has been extremely sharp in her deductions, so it would make sense for her to quickly suspect something amiss here. Likewise, that scene of her strangling Jin Jin may not have been about her fighting her craziness, but testing to see if Jin Jin really was in a coma. Same for talking about getting her off life-support within ear shot. At the very least, this would make more sense than her kidnapping Jin Jin for no reason.
3) Pong is probably Mr Yang's henchman, sent over to make sure Mr Yang is not being cheated, or maybe undercover police? Who knows. But his romance with Chao Ching came out of nowhere. So I am wondering if he is somehow related to/is her husband from back then. Wild, I know. But the blurry pictures of her husband from the start of the show certainly looked similar. The men also say "why did you tell her" to Pong, and we are not shown what he told her. Hmm.
4) With how the car was unmarked and the people weren't wearing uniforms, I am betting on it being Mr Yang who stops Jin Jin's ambulance and kidnaps the resurrectors. Either Jin Jin contacted him to come find her before she is sent back (but she could have very well have left on her own I would imagine), or Mr Yang was never going to let Jin Jin leave Benkha. She would have been privy to more stuff about him so letting her leave would be risky, or she knows something that she already has tried to threaten/control him with. But why kidnap the resurrectors? Is it even Mr Yang who kidnaps them or another party? Who needs to be resurrected? Does Mr Yang plan to kill Jin Jin and then resurrect her in order to get whatever information she has?
There is one more possibility - that the resurrection had never been real and the show told us that by showing them getting raided by the police at the end for being a scam. Meaning, it was a setup used by Mr Yang to instigate the mothers. But unless they are going the "villains crafted a new type of poison that disintegrates bodies into dust in 7 days" path, that wouldn't make sense. Also seems like way too much work and faith put into the mothers.

Sigh. do you guys think we will even get to see Jiyeon and Baekhyun's date in the next ep 😂 as much as they are A level flirts by themselves, Jiyeon needs something strong to shake her out of Wonkyu (who is really just not that into her IMO) and Baekhyun ain't gonna be bringing that. SIGH. if both of them had even a little bit of interest in each other their date could have been fire 😮‍💨 a very rare opportunity was lost, I tell you

Title EXchange Season 4 Spoiler
......sigh. Watching such shows is always hard when you are here just for the entertainment and not being jury at a trial. Anyways, I think this is the best season so far because the women are proactive, no sheep mentality in choosing partners, everyone has a good balance of wanting to move on and general feelings about their ex to make it interesting, and most importantly, I think the show had a stroke of luck with their contestants as seen with the whole BH-HJ-YS situation, HJ telling MK of all people about YS, that entire girl's room basically being a YS room, etc. ROFLMAO. I hadn't liked the previous seasons and had only tuned in here and there when I had been extremely bored only for the hype so well, this the side I am on.

Anyways, on to the contestants! Baekhyun's eyes are his weapon! The way that he looks at women! Damn boy! Actors would kill to be able to make those eyes haha. This episode was fun and made me laugh. No surprise in them revealing BH's ex right at the start. Look at him, he gave the crew no bloody choice in the matter LMAO. I mostly skip those pre-show meets but watched the entire thing this time. They were playful and a bit flirty, made it not so boring to watch. Loved HJ's "why does it feel like you want to do things with me?" hahaha

Speaking of, I am absolutely on the HJxYS ship. The few minutes they had in this ep solidified it. YS had felt like an uninteresting boy (and no, when I say boy, I am not dragging him) to me before but with and after HJ he feels a bit more like a man someone could have a relationship with. Something seems to have shifted in him just a little bit after HJ and I hope he keeps going that way. Don't look left or right, either of you!!! (That said, my ghosh. Someone give him some candy in those post-interviews cause he looks DEPRESSED)

Of course, Minkyung is next. I really didn't want to talk about this whole red flag thing but I have to say.....no one is a red flag. Not MK, not YS, not BH, nobody. At least so far. They were behaving in very normal human ways and trust me, nobody is being scarred by anyone's actions or is going to come out of this scarred. MK dumped YS (choosing to walk away first gives a certain strength and comfort that helps to clamp down on the negative feelings) and thought she was ready to move on. Unfortunately, things are not working out for her the way she thought they would. Without that happy rush of dopamine to help her get over her ex, her pride hurt, the environment they are in, plus seeing YS doing great despite what probably both of them had thought, the negative feelings are taking over. That said, she isn't going to shoot YS. YS will be FINE, trust. This is normal behavior. Your brain shuts off, you do stupid stuff, then look back after time has passed and cringe at how dumb you were as you lay in bed on a random night trying to sleep. Her telling him, very seriously, to go to sleep early made me laugh out loud XDDD

Similarly, YS is not being avoidant. MK was agitated and clearly not thinking straight. His response was right. Who in their right minds would encourage that?! Saying anything would lead to a fight. Which is fine if you are dating. But not when you have to keep it under wraps and aren't dating.

Coming back to Baekhyun before I move on, I honestly can't see any endgame pairings for him from amongst the girls in the house (save for Jiyeon but only cause we haven't seen them interact yet and Jiyeon got that RIZZZZ and can definitely also match his eye flirting).

Jiyeon.....I love the way she is when it comes to dating but she and Wonkyung just don't have that extra spark to make it interesting. And I don't think Wonkyung is feeling her that much either. I hope she tries to give others a chance :(

Need Wonkyung to get Minkyung out of her funk before she falls deeper and destroys her chances of forming any connections with others.

The rest of them....no real thoughts. Know nothing about Woojin, curious about Jiyeon's ex, not really as interested in Jihyun and Yunyeong right now beyond hoping that Jihyun does not mess with my HJxYS ship and both of them give up on BH quickly cause I find him making a mess of himself more fun ROFLMAO

Ep 4:-

Ok Wonkyu and Minkyung's little impromptu date was so nice! That was the first time I saw Minkyung laugh so freely and happily which was nice to see. She also wasn't forcing herself to do anything so she felt natural and relaxed, and I honestly think she forgot all about her ex for a bit and all the negative emotions around their situation. It is also clear that seeing her like that made Wonkyu feel good and develop interest. I hope they go on more dates. They could be so good together with Wonkyu unintentionally always making her crack up and forget all her worries! (sorry Jiyeon) Going for someone like him is much better and healthier than going for a version of her ex anyways.

Likewise, Yooshik and Hyeonji were also nice and made me smile. It is clear that both of them felt instant attraction towards each other and I like them better than him and Jihyun.

But Baekhyun with his looks again! The way he gave up pretending just a for a second and LOCKED onto Hyeonji at the end! Whoo! Did anyone else notice he was the only one who didn't clap to welcome her at the coffee table cause he was so busy just looking at her with his head cocked to the side. BOY! Callm Dzaun! AND the look Hyeonji in turn sends Baekhyun when she hears one person didn't cry reading the introduction letter. It was honestly doubly delicious seeing all this happen with both of them seated opposite each other at the two heads of the table, the two farthest points in their little circle XD

P.S. Jihyun, girl. What are you doing.

when did he say he has commitment issues?
yeah because he had been so hurt over that breakup that he was scared of committing to a relationship again, not because he couldn't find girls to date.

when did he say he has commitment issues?
in some previous personal interview he had said that after his ex relationship he couldn't/wouldn't hold relationships for long nor deepen them and then just ended up not dating for a long while, something like that from what I remember

Ok I know ep 3 and 4 are both out but I still had to RUN here to comment after ep 3 cause of first Baekhyun and then Jiyeon cause OMG the way that they look at their partners! That "haha she is adorable" look Baekhyun was giving Minkyung when she was giving her all into flirting with him? And the way that Jiyeon (NOT Jihyun) is such a natural flirt and conversation holder while maintaining consistent eye-contact?!! OMG. I am not saying I necessarily ship them together cause I don't think either of them are interested in each other? but ghosh do I want them both to find someone good now (and mostly see them flirt like this more haha even though Baekhyun hasn't even started flirting yet). Though of course, I would love a twist where they get to go on a date and eye-flirt the heck out of each other. But well, the people I think should interact more never do so 🙂 Either ways, these two are the ones I am most interested in now.

As for the dates, Baekhyun and Minkyung were fine, not bad. Jihyun and Yooshik were a bit below that. Yunnyeong and Woojin didn't necessarily have the heart flutters but they could make a good friends-to-lovers kinda couple. Jiyeon and Wonkyu could also be a fun couple but would have to be held afloat by Jiyeon.

As for Minkyung and Yooshik.....sigh, they are the type of couple that brings the mess. They absolutely don't need to get back together so I hope they move on and find others.

P.S. I was confused when Jihyun said Yooshik looked like a player cause lmao it was Baekhyun who gave me those vibes lowkey. Especially since he himself admitted his commitment issues.

End mailbox is no. 1....not 4.....& It's mentioned earlier by many when drama ended, those comment have gone…
there had to have been an original timeline where everything happened as it would have without the letters so the leads most probably didn't have any significant interactions, since the ML knowingly sending the love letter was what got 1991 ML riled up enough to go look for her that night and then getting involved with her. Could be that in timeline 1, with no one to interfere, the FL was successful in hurting her father and either committed suicide or went to jail. Maybe he felt a tiny bit of regret back then seeing her situation. The letter she had sent in the original timeline then ended up in his hands in 2026 and that moved him enough to send back a letter for the first time that created timeline 2 where he got a bit more involved and by the time 2026 in timeline 3 rolled around he was already fully in love with her. Considering that a timeline needs to collapse for the letter to move timelines, it makes more sense to me for it to chronologically move on to the next one instead of randomly going to 1.

Yes, that's why I said I will leave that comment here for future viewers. And hm went back to check just now and no it still looks like a 4 to me. the first slant is way too long without a matching enough horizontal line at the base to balance it out as is normally done when writing a 1 like that. Either ways, they are all different numbers so up to everyone to interpret it as they like.

Here's a detail I haven't seen mentioned, at least as far as I have scrolled, so I will leave it here for future viewers and anyone coming back - the mailbox used by the leads in 1991 has the number 02, the mailbox used in 2026 is 03, and the mailbox opened by Shen Cheng at the very end is 04. Make of that what you will.

Oh! I can see that, but yeah I like the drama version better. They would have been great as King and Queen, but they would be trapped within those walls forever. I would hate to see them like that. The drama way, at least they have the freedom to be outside, do whatever they want, and then retire in old age if they want.
