Do not get me started with SOTUS, It is my all time favourite drama. I have watched great movies but this drama has left that impact. You know what I mean. I keep going back to watch it. To me I would not change anything at all. Both seasons were perfect

The first two parts: you literally spoke about general korean drama lol. And the production items u mentioned actually makes it stand out from other country: 100% agree.
3rd part: Did I say Japan wasn't the first country to come up with this genre? I did not. I only mentioned the word "popularise" which is infact true. But okay....
4th part: I agree. They are taking their baby steps. Again, most of them doesn't have important role. But still as u said, the TV station is a big deal. So yeah.
5th part: I am not a person from film background, I watch drama that makes me imagine myself in their shoes and carries with me through their journey. The ones I watched were good enough. And different people have different perceptions regarding their choice of "good BL or any general movie/drama".
Last: Can't really disagree with you with "quantity over quality", but that doesn't mean there aren't any good BL dramas. There are. It takes time and patience to find ur fit lol.

Bro, I understand that the engineering background for the cast is quite frustrating and I acknowledge your point. But have you watched the other series as well or just scanned through the ones trending on twitter or MDL?
Here are some recommendations for the dramas I've watched which is not really ENGINEERING bs and actually have a beautiful story to tell. The story might not be your definition of beautiful but for a person who watches with both their eyes and heart open, you will certainly enjoy the following dramas.

3. Together with Me (2018): *fucked up shit but it actually happens in real life.
4. i STORIES (2018)
5. Views of Love: Grey Rainbow (2016) *Amazing, beautiful*
6. Friend Zone (2018) *the sequel is dropping anytime soon, but mind you, this drama is centered around shit that actually happens in real life. This generation is fucked up and this drama is the proof. you will either love it for its realness or hate it - see it for yourself.*
7. STOUS and SOTUS S: My all-time fav. It is Engineering lol but it has stories since u mentioned that Thai-BL lacks story.

Excuse me, but on what basis are you comparing the two countries for their BL drama production?? As far as my experience goes with BL in Korean drama, none of them ends well, or it is just plain bromance. Thailand has popularised the genre all across Asia. The engineering shit is getting on the nerves I acknowledge that. But have you watched the other series as well or just scanned through the ones trending?
As much as I love kdrama, I think it is too early in terms of comparing the production level and the growth of BL in both nations. Korean industry has to go a long way for that.

I have noticed many people ignoring this masterpiece. It sure takes its time but it is a drama you will remember for a long long time.
This drama talks about an introvert person and a not so introvert (ML) but not so extrovert person (FL)living in cohabitation. This might sound just like any other drama you have watched but no. It also talks about the second and third couples and their life. It is so beautiful to watch how a very stubborn person slowly learns to love after experiencing a difficult relationship before. I really admire the pace, the story the cast, cinematography, and their delivery of emotions. Just wow!
To me this will definitely be as precious as Tree of heaven, autumn in my heart, reply 1988 and goblin to name a few. They are all special to me in their own way and I appreciate this kind of a drama.

MY is taking baby steps on the healing process, she understands her mistake and depend on her actions after seeing the drawing/sketch ST made.
I thought GT finally opened up a little bit but he turned 180* and went back to the same stiff/emotionless with ST being the exception. Like come on please. You made our precious MY cry. She cried so much this episode. She might not look like she is crying a lot loud but the pain and every drop of tear she shed is precious. It shows she is opening up.
And I admit that I really hated ST character in ep 9 and I still kind of do, but he is scared of being abandoned and is aware of his life without GT. But Nobody in this world belong to certain somebody. No! That's wrong.
My heart when that Ms Park went to MY's door to wish on her BD. I had this chill and goosebumps all over my body. It might be just herself wishing her but still.

This drama is the only best thing going for me right now. I thoroughly enjoy and connect with every character. Some caring, others dark/psychotic/annoying.

And I see a comment thread below comparing this GOLDEN drama to another. Comparison kills all joy. To those people get the F out of here. The comment section was lovely and supportive till now.
