Guys, seriously watch the Turkish drama Erkenci Kus / Early Bird - the whole series is available on YouTube. If…
You know... I found back this comment just to tell you that I'm on holidays to my parents and let's just say they've given me some stuffs to do so I thought I'd put this series in the background just to watch a bit and see what it looked liked...
SADLY
This series is sooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooood!
Nothing is done and I can't stop watching ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
No choice I guess... I'll have to really sit and watch it properly... I don't understand a single word of turkish so sadly can't follow without watching properly...
Anyway, thanks for the recommendation 🥰
This is really not the time but It's too late now I'm hooked 😡
If you know Mandarin, you will see that the investor's Mandarin isn't great either. She has a weird accent. I…
I'm learning Mandarin so I can't really say to be honest. She speaking in Mandarin didn't shock me... but the English sure did. I guess it's a matter of how familiar you are with the languages used. I don't remember exactly how she spoke in mandarin either but given how there's so many accents, I think it's easier giving a pass to the Mandarin parts for those who are familiar with it.
Ok I "speed watch some last key scenes of the last episodes since I'm cutting it in several parts to watch due to having currently no time to sit one hour to watch a whole episode...
And I think this drama takes the crown this year for most disappointing show ever.
I was so in love with it when it started, I felt that FINALLY here's a K drama that's finally gonna help me get rid of my K drama slump but ALAS NO!
WTF with that memory BS? Like ARE THEY SERIOUS???!!! Also that reunion with SML and SFL at the end? 😡😡😡 Best ending for that couple would have been either they both get a suitable partner that love them or SFL gets a great guy while SML bitterly regrets having let her go. Not them reuniting and hinting at them getting together. I knew it was coming... it still SUCKS though.
Anyway. That's my short rant, because I'm on holidays and the keyboard I'm using isn't as comfortable as the one I've got back home, otherwise the rant would be WAY LONGER.
And here comes again the K drama slump. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm learning Korean, I wouldn't even bother anymore.
Well I really prayed for the preview for episode 13 to be voluntarily misleading but sadly nope... We got all all the good tropes and ALL the bad ones in this drama.
Well at least it finishes tomorrow... and I can start 2026 with another K drama slump. Just great.
It kind of changed hands after the first 6 episodes oddly enough. To some people's dismay or to some people's…
Nah... Thank you for the heads up but I'm no longer in the mood for a thriller anyway... I may give it another try in a couple of months if the mood strikes.
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
I didn't watch neither Our Unwritten Seoul and Spiritfingers. I've heard good words about them... but I also heard good words about Head Over Heels... and my skin still burns from disappointment with that one that I preferred to be cautious.
I've moved both dramas to my mental TWL in 2026. Hopefully they won't be touched by the 2025 K drama curse if I watch them next year.
Haunted Palace... had a strong start and then it settled into basically the 2025 K dramaland standard: Not great, not bad, just meh.
I dropped that one 4 years ago after something like 15 to 20 episodes when I first tried to watch it. It was my very first wuxia. Too many names, knew nothing about cultivation and whatnot.
Definitely a really bad drama to watch when you're not familiar with all the lore of the 3 realms, sects, names, courtesy names and all that jazz.
I tried to read the novels but I HATED the English translations which I found very heavy to read... This led me to start learning Chinese btw. If you hate how it's translated , better read the original version... Though I think I won't be able to read fluently for at least 4 additional years...
BUT it's the holidays, I'm leaving tomorrow so my VERY BIG SCREEN won't be available so I guess this is the perfect moment to give this one another go. At least the special effects, which were pretty ugly from what I remember, won't look as dreadful on a small screen.
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
I really don't understand your comment then. We're at episode 12. The debt issue has been resolved months ago at this point. In fact it was just after Da Rim entered the company. So given the timeline around 5 months ago.
Of course I know people go MIA when people are chased by debt collectors (Seriously 🙄🙄🙄)
At this point the sister should know the situation is cleared and should come back.
Why would I make a comment about her going MIA when she was still being chased by loan sharks? That doesn't make any sense.
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
I totally get your comment, I'm actually the same. I can overlook a LOT of things when I'm mostly enjoying myself but as soon as I start to get overly annoyed that's when my attention just unwillingly focus on the flaws...
I like thrillers on occasion and I absolutely adore Lee Je Hoon since Signal but this one is not doing it for me. The episodic nature doesn't help. I wish I could like it as much as everyone else but something is just not clicking for me.
Fortunately there's 3 seasons. Since I personally really HATE when seasons are added, that really did help making a decision. If I went through with it to the end, I'd feel obligated to watch the second season since everybody said it's better than the first one.
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
Nah carrying a man that size is no problem especially since the ML is quite slim. Women have been known to literally lift cars if their kids were stuck under one in extreme circumstances, people running with broken legs and so on. When it comes to lifting weight it's more about how the weight is spread. If you had to 70 kg with your typical weight lifting 35 kg on both sides, you'd definitely struggle without training but not if it's spread in a whole body, especially since she carried him on his back, that's a no brainer.
The only arguable case would be if the weight was on a smaller body. People with very muscular bodies and a small size would definitely be harder to lift but that is not the case here.
It's been a while I haven't done it personally, but I used to have fun lifting my own father off the ground and see how long I lasted. And he's 172cm, used to weight around 80kg back then. I was 158cm, weighting 58kg and I wasn't even lifting weights (Now I'm heavier, same height, paradoxically appears smaller in size with 8 extra kilos).
People have this image of needing to be buff to lift heavy weights which is just not the case. Of course, I doubt the FL ever trains, muscles are only liked on men in Asia, women just have to starve or work on their butt but I disgress.
For the rest though, I was thinking the same thing. I have a small radiator that I keep at my feet and my God the number of time I got burns from the hot air is ridiculous. The worse is, it wasn't even painful, it's only after that I realized I got burn blisters.
I can't even imagine what it would be for someone running with no protection in a building literally burning.
Smoke inhalation is even worse. One day something got burnt in my house, I had shut off the heat of my cooker peoperly. A small fire started, my god the amount of smoke for that tiny thing was ridiculous. I got rid of the fire myself with a wet clothe that I threw on top of the pot, but I coughed like crazy for at least 10 minutes.
I mean the whole thing was unrealistic for sure yet you insisted on the ONE THING that wasn't. 🤣🤣🤣
That's a very good comment...BUT it doesn't change the fact that it's yet ANOTHER breakup close to the finale.…
The SML is a good guy... They just sold him very badly... Also the way they handled the second couple was terrible... Now they're setting up an open ending with Ha Yeong AND HER MOTHER pestering the poor dude to get together.
He's not in love, let it stay that way and let Ha Yeong find a man who loves her. I mean, how low can your self-esteem can be?
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
Personally I loved the show enough to overlook most of the things that didn't make sense even though people were complaining about them... It's more that the last 2 episodes have been a bit more frustrating to me and hence this type of things just add up.
I'm still mostly enjoying the show so I'm crossing my fingers I'll be less frustrated by the last 2 episodes.
It's still to me the best K rom com I've watched this year... But apart from Study Group, I've been literally disappointed by everything served by K dramaland this year... Arguably I haven't watched a lot of K dramas given how much they sucked in the first semester But... we're moving on to 2026 next week so hopefully, we'll start this new year with some bangers that don't fizzle out by the end.
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
Nah your explanation doesn't work.
In one of the first episode, Da Rim was still calling her sister and leaving messages through her answering machine AND texts. Messages that the sister clearly listened to. I clearly remember a scene when she got all emotional about it and her husband complained about how many times she had listened to it already.
Yes, they didn't show Da Rim sending a message to her sister about it... which is to me another oversight, but clearly if the scriptwriters were logical they would at least show a scene explaining WHY the sister doesn't come back ( which is very easy, shame is enough explanation but you still need to show it).
Even if Da Rim didn't send a message, if you have loan sharks trying to find you, they'd have noticed their phone is no longer being bombarded by hundreds of threatening messages.
That's just taking viewers for idiots. It doesn't ruin the show but this is one of these inconsistencies that pile up on top of others and ends up irritating the life out of me.

He's really unlucky to have signed with them. Hopefully he flees from them as soon as his contract expires 😡

That's what you call " a War of Attrition".
She's gonna get him in the end... Just not onscreen.
