Personally what I feel is that using the power and temporarily escaping from the kidnapper was not a solution…
Yes, Sol’s “time-freezing powers” can only ever work as a band-aid solution. Because her fate, Sun Jae’s, and Kim Young Soo’s are so deeply intertwined, the cycle would still endlessly repeat even if she narrowly escaped him, just like what happened in the second timeline.
ok the two main are wholesome and all but theres a plothole in episode 7 **SPOILERS**why the heck she didn't use…
Having watched Lovely Runner four times, I don’t think this was a plot hole at all. Some people have complained about this too, but I gave Sol room for completely letting that knowledge slip because she was in full survival mode. Later on, when she saw the love of her life murdered before her eyes, the sheer shock in that scene also justifies why she would completely forget that detail. When your body and mind go into complete survival mode or shock, you simply can’t think rationally. It's normal human behavior. Moreover, she would have to be within Kim Young Soo’s hearing distance, and continuously shouting future information would only put her dangerously close to him, leaving little time for escape. No matter what she does or how many times she tries to save Sun Jae, there is only one way their ill-fated cycle ends, and that will be shown in the finale.
I don’t know what she did so he loves her like that , and like he said in one of his many confessions, he loved…
For Kdrama purposes to make people swoon for sure. While I do I think Jang Hyun's love for Gil Chae is romantic, I am still of the opinion that she didn't deserve him. How she treated him for like 3/4 of the whole drama made her undeserving of his love. That's why it remains an 8 for me. And yes, I do consider it love - the unconditional kind - despite how stupid it might appear to be to other people. I guess the only justification for this is the fact that they are, within the context of the story, soulmates bound by the red string of fate.
I love Kim Tae Hee. Her quiet and understated elegance and beauty are remarkable. Her love story and marriage to Rain is beautiful, the fact that he actually changed his religion for her is quite touching and clearly shows how in love he has always been since they met. I hope she becomes more active in dramas soon.
From a million names they could have chosen, they went with Iblis 😭. And for people saying “it’s just a…
I'm a Catholic Christian and I'm disturbed by this too. Sigh. Well, if they could romanticize a relationship with a demon in My Demon, then they can do anything. I liked some of Kim Eun Sook's dramas but I'm gonna skip this one. I don't want to be desensitized.
18 Again will always be part of my forever Top 10. I watched it at a time in my life when I was weighed down with regrets, so its story resonated with me deeply. I cried when the parents’ past was shown — their struggles to raise a young family as high school dropouts and clueless teenagers. I cried again during the final scene, watching them walk together: first as teenagers, then as middle-aged adults, and finally as an old couple in that poignant last episode. Such a beautiful metaphor for marriage and true partnership in life.
Many people felt uncomfortable about the kissing scene between Lee Do Hyun and Kim Ha Neul because of the visible age gap, but it didn’t matter to me. In essence, she was kissing her husband — just in a much younger body.
I will forever love this Kdrama because it taught me so many valuable lessons, especially about forgiveness, patience, and understanding in marriage and family life. A true gem — very underrated, but beautiful and heartwarming.
Can’t believe it’s being compared to Twinkling Watermelon and Lovely Runner. I mean, this drama isn’t bad…
I completely agree. This year, so many people were hyping Head Over Heels to be the next Lovely Runner—which is a solid 10 for me—so I was already very apprehensive about that comparison. How can you possibly live up to that level of success? And I was right, they couldn’t. Lovely Runner managed to sustain and even amp up the suspense all the way to episode 15, then wrapped everything up beautifully with one of the best endings in Kdrama. Head Over Heels would have fared much better if it had focused on a well-written, original storyline and unique marketing strategy instead of trying to ride on the coattails of another show’s magic. This is something to ponder on, TVN. It's too bad because I really liked the FL on this one.
I haven’t seen the anime, just random clips here and there, but I’m definitely watching this for Byeon Woo Seok. I’ve been a huge fan since Lovely Runner. He’s got that deadly charisma and intimidating aura we saw in Strong Girl Nam Soon (if he chooses to channel it for the role), and he’s one of those actors who can act with just their eyes. I know he’s going to absolutely slay this role because he's an amazing actor. I’m also really glad he’s picking the best possible projects, like his upcoming drama with none other than IU herself, after his dramatic surge in popularity from Lovely Runner. Following up a success like that is no easy feat and he's making the right decisions.
You gotta remember to watch adaptations with fresh eyes, like a new story. They can never live up to the volume…
I've seen the first season of the anime out of curiosity but didn't bother to continue because well, I don't watch anime anymore. Stopped being a fan more than 10 years ago. But I was interested because this had good reviews and I agree. This was well-done. I would have wanted to watch an adaptation of this as a Jdrama because I prefer a live action to flesh out the characters and their relationship more to mirror their development in the manga (which is probably great).
And this is SO my genre. I love fantasy.

That being said, I will rewatch this someday.
