Getting weird because more people are realizing this drama just isnât that good and the high rating is undeserved?
LOL okay dude, whatever floats your boat and helps you sleep at night đ Doesnât change the fact that itâs widely loved, highly rated across platforms, and has won plenty of accolades đ€·ââïž

Funny how people like you get so triggered when something you dislike is beloved. Your taste and preferences are obviously different and thatâs fine but so are those of the majority who genuinely loved it. Accuse everyone of being âpaid offâ all you want, but thatâs really on you, especially when the awards and ratings across platforms clearly disagree with you.
So go ahead and keep arguing about how much you hate Lovely Runner. Iâll just leave you to rant as much as you want đ

Why would that be weird? Plenty of people including Time magazine and judges from major South Korean entertainment award bodies would probably disagree with you, no? đ
Finally done with this. I'd say it deserves an 8.5. The writing is pretty weak and the ending felt a little rushed but Lee Chae Min's acting made up for it. His chemistry with Yoon A was there but wasn't as strong as her chemistry with Jun Ho in King The Land. It was fun seeing the actors who became memorable in their roles in the iconic sageuk Kdramas Moon Lovers (Han Na) and Empress Ki (Jae Yoon) too.
Glad to know itâs not just me. I just finished episode 12, and this is how Iâm feeling. ML is head over heels…
Sol does love Sun Jae deeply. But she didn't willingly throw herself into his arms, because what weighed on her wasn't a lack of love, but the crushing responsibility she felt for his repeated deaths, much like the deep guilt Sun Jae carried for 15 years over her permanent disability in the original timeline. Knowing that she, not him, was meant to be killed, she considered herself a curse on his fate. Solâs repeated rejections made her unlikable to some viewers, but a careful watch and rewatch of the drama reveals how selfless her love truly is. She never tried to keep him for herself. Her final sacrifice (creating the final timeline where he survives at the cost of his love for her and their shared memories), while he in turn willingly gives up his life to protect her in every timeline is what makes Lovely Runner such a compelling love story. Their love is nothing short of sacrificial. While many viewers appreciate Sun Jaeâs love and devotion, Solâs feelings are often sadly misunderstood because of how unwavering, even harsh, she is in carrying out her mission. To her, Sun Jae's life is paramount to her own heart and happiness.
It's been a year since I saw this beautiful Kdrama. I've moved on to other stuff but listening to 'A Day' and 'Like A Dream' again after many months still makes me cry honestly. Lovely Runner will always be one of favorite Kdramas.
From my understanding, the writer aimed to differentiate her time-travel story from dramas with similar narratives by structuring it in a non-linear way. Thatâs why the plot constantly shifts between the past and the present, enabled by the watch that granted Sol three chances.
the chemistry was so good even the fact the villain was half baked was not much an issue tbh đ
LOL. The villain felt one-dimensional, largely because he functioned more as a plot device than as a fully developed characterâa tragic force designed solely to obstruct the central love story. This made him a convenient narrative tool, and portraying him as a serial killer only underscored that convenience. My theory is that the writer intentionally drew on imagery and themes that would subtly remind viewers of the SHINee idol who tragically took his own life. Funny, Lovely Runner even premiered on his birthday. When news of the drama first surfaced, it immediately faced backlash from fans who felt that referencing the idolâs suicide, even indirectly, was insensitive and exploitative. I also found the villainâs background lacking, but it became clear that the writer had no intention of exploring his character furtherâbecause that wasnât the point. He was never meant to be more than a plot device.
The hate this drama receives is really huge, which I totally don't understand.I guess many can't accept a simple…
I only see a lot of hate here on MDL. There are some criticisms on Reddit here and there, but itâs nothing compared to whatâs on MDL. Honestly, it doesnât matter, because the love this drama has received far outweighs it. Just looking at all the awards itâs won and the records itâs broken is astonishing. The very fact that Lovely Runnerâa romcomâwas nominated alongside my all-time favorite Kdrama, When Life Gives You Tangerines, at the Baeksang Awards, and how it catapulted Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon to superstardom, speaks volumes about its massive success. Lovely Runner has already cemented itself as a cult classic, on the same level as Crash Landing On You back in the day. So Iâm no longer concerned about petty, nasty posts from people who think theyâre above it.
i miss lovely runner :( are there any other dramas like this?
Yeah Twinkling Watermelon differs from Lovely Runner because the reason for the time travel was more family-driven and the ML's dad still ended up deaf unfortunately. I felt emotionally, Extraordinary You was closer to Lovely Runner.
Having watched Lovely Runner four times, I donât think this was a plot hole at all. Some people have complained…
Barely any love triangle. Sure, thereâs the second ML, Taesung, who was Solâs first silly crush and first "boyfriend", but he never stood a chance against Sun Jae. The main coupleâs love story was just too beautifully written.
I dont understand why IU plays two roles as mother and daughter. I think it would be better if she plays only…
Probably because it was a story that focused on the 3 generations of women that began with Aesun's mother. I felt sad for Eum Myeong, I could feel his pain of being the "black sheep" but later on, it was revealed right how much Gwansik tried his best to show him he loved and cared for him when he was a child and thereafter, as an adult when he went to jail and everything.
i cried so much that i have no tears left to cry. this drama is the best thing that happened to 2025
Personally for me this is the Best Kdrama of 2025. The moment it concluded in the first quarter, I knew it would be impossible for another Kdrama to surpass it. It just set the standard way too high for me.
So go ahead and keep arguing about how much you hate Lovely Runner. Iâll just leave you to rant as much as you want đ
