I would say overall it was a happy ending but also kind of bittersweet.
I guessed right from the start they are going to end up meeting in Switzerland again after a time skip and it really happened that way, but honestly didn't expect the writer to add that twist to the ending. TBH, I'm not sure how I feel about it.
I didn't watch the ending yet, but is it true they get to meet only 2 weeks every year? If so, it's not completely happy ending, right? And our STP.... I can't believe the writer did that to them. So sad. Somehow I feel the writer planned for a sad ending but still tried to make it somewhat hopfeul.
I started watching it when it first aired and I really liked it, but then there was the issue with the subtitles, so I gave up on this and started other great Chinese dramas. Now that I've returned to this, I have to say this drama is pretty bad in terms of acting and story. I will finish it just because I've reached half, but I wouldn't recommend it at all.
This drama reminds me so much of TMETS. Especially when the male lead, aka the king, loves only the female lead, remains loyal to her and never pays any attention to other women. I love dramas like that. The plot itself is a bit exaggerated at times but very interesting. Ending was rushed, but then again almost all k-dramas endings are rushed. IMO, it's worth watching.
The drama is not perfect because of the rushed ending, plot holes and usual troupes, but even so, the story is beautiful, the couples are lovely (it might take a while to get used to the FL), the soundtrack is well matched and the acting is totally awesome! The actors are definitely the best part of it. Bai Yu is LOVE! Enjoyable drama, worth watching!
I don't think he got hurt again. Maybe he wore a bulletproof vest. He's supposed to be smart, right? If RJH really got hurt by that gun shot, then the writer is pushing the limits. And why the bad guy from NK is still alive? Come on, just kill him already.
I thought her bad brother still has hope but he is totally rotten. He and his wife should be in jail. I hope the bad guy from NK is dead already. I can't stand him anymore.

Why is this called season 2? It doesn't seem to be a continuation of the first season. It's look like an entirely different story or a remake. I'm so confused.
After all this time, I still can't get over about how sad the ending was. I know many consider it happy ending but to me is was the saddest and cruelest ending ever. The worst option the writer could think of. It's the reason why I never dared to watch it again, :(
The only one that can save this drama is Park Hae Jin. His acting is really good but the drama is so messy and bad. I still have hope this drama will improve later on.
Beautiful love story... touching and meaningful. I loved the side stories. But it wasn't perfect, their relationship wasn't developed enough. Most of the time I felt she was very distant from him. I wanted her to open up to him, share her thoughts and feelings more often. I also wanted certain things to be revealed to them but sadly it didn't. Still, it was a beautiful drama with wonderful soundtrack, amazing cast and heartfelt message.
I'm currently on episode 18 and I don't want to continue until I know for sure the ending is happy. I may not continue if ending is sad, I don't want my heart to be broken. No matter what, this drama is really good!
I saw Love Triangle in the tags, this drama is not for me. I will be back later to check if the Love Triangle is as strong as it seems in the previews.
Did they ever explained if humans can turn into spirits and how?
I'm not sure but I think it's explained in the opening. "If someone with an obsession gets those jades, the energy in it will infect them and turn them into spirits manipulated by obsessives."
Episode 12 is one of the best so far, it has a little bit of everything!
