9/10 Not a common BI series. Very unique plot. I quite like it.The opening song is such a delight. Very catchy…
Absolutely! Just binge-watched this one, and laughed all the way through it. Brilliant. This is actually season three, though "season two" is presented here as a single 120 minute episode. My only regret is that I don't have time right now to go straight on to season four!

"Of the three previous accusations of school violence made before "A"'s post, two were voluntarily…
"Their post contained false information" is not the same thing as "their post was false". For instance if someone says "On Wednesday, this happened" and it actually happened on Friday, the statement contains false information. That doesn't invalidate IF "this happened", only WHEN this happened.

There is no need for a s 2
Totally agree. One thing I liked alot about K-dramas was that they were nearly all single season offerings. The story is introduced, developed, and resolved in one go - some longer than others but, in the main, whatever number of episodes is needed to fit the story. Time to move on to something totally new, or to check out other works by an actor you'd not previously discovered.

Now, with Netflix setting the trend for milking every penny possible from anything that proves successful and popular, that tradition seems to be dying. We're now given dramas that either have a sudden - and usually totally unnecessary - twist at the end, to set up a season 2, or things that work well stand-alone, then a second season is announced. And you can immediately see it's "forced".

Do I wish some drama had been longer? Absolutely! Did they need to be? Nope! I've dropped two recent second seasons - Squid Game and Hellbound - after checking out the first couple of episodes because they had nowhere near the impact of the original.

I suppose it could be worse. Producers could deliberately plan cliffhanger endings. Given how long it usually is between seasons, and how often the second, though talked about and promised, never actually appears, that would be awful!

I'm usually a strong advocate of what I see as the "traditional" K-drama format - story presented, played out, and resolved - all within a single season. Have to admit, though, this is a definite exception to that rule. I spend a lot of time looking at my wishlist and wondering "Why isn't it the 21st of November yet?"

What a lucky coincidence that one of the most recently aired BLs happens to also be the "Best of All Time". That saves people having to actually think, doesn't it?

I suspect many breeds of goldfish have a greater capacity to remember.

Another drama falling for seasons. Why can't they make new shows instead of milking hit shows with seasons. Every…
It's made worse, IMO, by many of these second seasons only being announced a year or more after the original has ended, a sure sign in itself that a continuation of the story was never originally intended or planned. It then takes a year or two before the announcement turns into a released show, if it even does.

If the makers want to sacrifice artistic integrity in pursuit of profit, it's up to the actors to defend it. In most cases, main roles are played by very good actors who have either already made a name for themselves elsewhere, or new faces making their mark for the first time. For them, the already aired drama has likely already done exactly what they hoped it would do - launched, or boosted, their career. Returning for a second season won't add anything to this, but certainly risks diminishing it. On hearing such announcements, the actors should immediately issue a public statement that they won't be involved ... though of course they are available for, and will welcome, proposals for new shows, whether in the same vein or exploring other aspects of their talent.

One of the main things that has drawn me into, and to love, K-dramas, is (was?) the practice of there being only one season. An idea is introduced, played out, and wrapped up. IMO, it's only the muscling in and influence of western companies - such as Netflix - that is causing this move towards second seasons, purely in pursuit of more profits, not because the story needs it.

'Reborn Rich' is a fine example of a great K-drama. Would I like there to have been more episodes? Yes! Would I have loved watching more scenes between the two fantastic actors Lee Sung Min and Song Joong Ki? Absolutely! But, in the spirit of good K-dramas, the story is finished. There's no more to say. A second season is neither needed nor, I'm guessing from the way it ended, was intended.

Please leave this hugely satisfying slice of drama with the warm affection it has in my heart. Don't sully it with new stuff purely in pursuit of profit because it was so successful. There's a huge difference between being left wanting more, and being given more, of a lower quality, which waters down the experience.

@Stuffed Cat I've never used those hyperspecific tags myself but I still hope they never change šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚
If it's being done in jest, I'd find it hilarious but I have an awful suspicion that it's meant to be taken seriously.

Seriously! Who comes up with these tags? Are there really people out there desperate to find those dramas that specifically have a 'Nail Technician Supporting Character'?

The fact that all of the dramas above no. 80 have received at least two votes suggests that by "us", you mean "you". There are several dramas on here that I enjoyed a lot, and was a bit surprised to see, but I recognise that just because I liked something, it doesn't mean everyone else should have too. Also, did you notice that voters can add to this list if a show they think should be on here isn't? There's a good chance that the last nine, with only one vote each (at the time of writing), were added by other voters not the creator. As for "If you don't like it, don't watch it!" ... that's exactly what this is. They didn't like it, so they stopped watching it. (OK, or watched it all but didn't feel it lived up to their expectation.)

Could I also suggest that there are other reasons why a viewer might drop a drama, or feel disappointed with it, without believing it's "trash". There seems to be an often demonstrated view on this site that dramas are either "absolutely brilliant" (10/10) or "trash" (1/10). It's a shame the numbers between are so rarely used. If they were, properly, a show's rating here might actually start to be useful.

is it good?
Good may be a bit of an understatement, if you enjoy this kind of drama. It was lucky for me that I had no other pressing commitments at the time I stumbled on it because I watched all thirty-two episodes back-to-back, breaking only to sleep for a while when I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. Pretty much every episode ends on a "What? You can't leave it there!?" moment and, if you have no willpower like me, you have to watch the next one straight away to see what happens!

There are students in councils, clubs, running errands for teachers, skipping class, arriving late, leaving early,…
Do you mean corridors when you say halls? It's the corridors I'm talking about. I think "filled", whilst classes are in progress, is somewhat overstating it ... unless they're so small they could be considered filled when just one or two people are in them. Also, I'm not convinced the size of the school is particularly important. If it's a bigger school, there will be more corridors for people to be walking around in so the number of people in a particular corridor is likely to be more or less the same. And whilst all of the activities you list are valid, I don't think most of them would involve two or three people wandering around together, as is often portrayed. Or perhaps it's just that the schools are very different in Korea to those in the UK, or that what goes on there has changed dramatically to what I remember. I have to concede, my personal experience was a VERY long time ago. :-)

You just gotta love Gye Jang-su!
I'm actually OK with that. In my mind, if there's a Season 2, it's not a proper 'Kdrama'. A sequel (or prequel) is fine, where appropriate, but each season should be properly wrapped up, and the next a 'whole' story with no absolute requirement to have seen the first one. When they do make a season 2, it's usually so long after the first you've forgotten season 1 anyway, and normally feels 'forced'. Shows intended from the outset to be multi-season not included, of course. e.g. Alchemy of Souls

Tried to vote today (8th November) but getting a message that voting has ended. If this is correct, suggest it be extended to some time in 2025 if it's to have any credibility. Assume it's for the best originally aired in 2024, so it should be open some time after that. Not everyone watches stuff as single episodes, the same day as it's released.

Of course, the "It has ended" message might be bogus! I often get eroneous error messages on this site!

How can you say, there are only 2 episodes out. šŸ˜‚ I’m sure you are her biggest fan ;) her fans always rate…
Rating anything 10/10, by definition, means that it's perfect and absolutely nothing could be even better - the acting, the writing, the cinematography, etc. Sure, every now and then something is so good, especially in comparison to everything else, you let that pass and give it a 10, but that shouldn't be the norm and isn't why most people here do it. It gets a 10 'cos the actor the voter is currently drooling over is in it, regardless of whether or not the show is particularly good. Or it gets a 1, 'cos an actor is in direct competition with their current bias. People should remember there are TEN numbers to choose from. A score of six or seven should mean it's better than average, yet I've many times seen comments like "it only got a 7, so I won't bother to watch it". The 1 or 10 mentality is disrespectful of others, who understandably expect an honest, accurate rating, to help inform their decision of whether or not to watch something.

Title The King of Pigs Spoiler
Why did Jong Suk push Kim Chul?
He believed only an actual death would be the catalyst for the change he wanted, not just the threat of one. If you take his words at face value ["I'll be the monster, you be God"] he might even have believed, subconsciously at least, that Chul might be resurrected.
