I am hoping that the redemption arc for Yi Ming (I was a big critic of Version 1.0 of him) is completed by him standing up for the two of them and telling Wei Zhi's parents that he supports them.

It is not just the "stable and high income" aspect, but the prestige and status that is assigned to the professions. I would also add that he is not the person they picked. So, Chong has two things counting against him.

From quite early on, there has been a group of people who have given bad ratings. If you check the Episode Guide above, you will see that Episode 23 (yes, the final episode) has a rating of 7.2 from 45 votes!

If she is serious about her acting career, then focusing on a specific niche is probably the worst thing to do. She is only 30 and I sense that she has the ability to expand her repertoire.

To be honest, I got the same impression from the interaction between her mother and Nan Feng, starting at around 2:35 of EP 15.

I am not certain but the nickname was something introduced very early on and it was something that had been around for a while. That being said, I did not like the fact that it is used.

I am not certain why her voice will preclude her from taking on "serious" roles. There are many actors who have trained their voice so that it can be "adjusted" to account for the character.

I will happily admit that the new side of Yi Ming is immeasurably better than the old one. I am not certain why they had to portray him in such a bad light before.

I was going to avoid responding to or commenting on the various people making the paedophilia accusations because I did not want to get dragged into the mud.

However, I do want to say that this is one person from the West who did not and does not think this show or Yu Shu Xin's acting are in any way related to "paedophilia".

Sadly, there are people who throw around accusations of paedophilia without thinking of the consequences to the falsely accused, and the even greater tragedy that is the suffering of the children who are attacked by paedophiles. Just think of the fact that Kendrick's song (Not Like Us) contains the accusation that Drake is a paedophile. That song won 5 Grammy awards, including Song of the Year!

While I am holding out hope that Wei Zhi's mother actually comes around to support her, I did not get the impression that having her "secretary" investigate things as a positive. I felt that her mother considered the scandal as another reason for Wei Zhi to quit drawing comics.

I got that impression as well. My suspicion is that this is the first time she has had these feelings towards a man. At first, she treated as a holiday fling. Now that she is actually experiencing emotions towards him, it scares her.
