Xie Wei from Story of Kunning Palace is also morally grey and complex character. His story is also very tragic. His demeanor is very consistent throughout the drama, unlike some badass character who instantly turns into a mush puppy when they fell in love with the FL. (ahem...Love Like the Galaxy...cough).
As for TTJ from TTEOTM, he is one of my fave character too but I really miss him as Tan Tai Jin, but when he is Chang Jiu Min, he also turns into mushy puppy in love. hahaha

TBH, I always love a bad boy, morally grey character but XL is more than morally grey. He is a total abusive red flag. Which is my limit for bad boy. He hurts FL in a few different occasion, even when he knew she's a woman. So that's a big NO for me. TSJ is a boring doormat and CX is family. So if were me, I will not choose either of them as a love interest. LOL. But out of these 3, I would say TSJ is the safest and he never has the intention to hurt her, even when she's WXL, so TSJ should get more bunny points.
and CX's sudden attraction to XY is very weird and creepy. I haven't finish watching, I'm at the at CX's arc and it just turns me off. I dropped it for some time and recently continue back. I'm fastfowarding a lot of their scenes. lol

Episode 25 onwards is a bit hard to get through, I had to pause to finish The Last Immortal. The first half of this drama was so good, I didnt expect I would enjoy it more when she's a man! LOL

AJTL has a lot of blood to spill too

For the record, this drama doesn’t have a lot of blood vomiting. Most of the c-drama is so over-doing the blood puking and I am surprise that this xianxia doesnt have much of that. 😂

I am so done with all the open and WTF ending with c-drama. I am so glad this drama has the in-your-happy ending. Gimme me all the lurvy durvy cringe, I dont mind. 😂

Yes, even in the reset timeline, he still have the tendency to end ALL including himself, his destructiveness worries his friend, Luxian. That is why LX hopes JXN will be the one who could cushion him, or at least be there for him. And also all the neck choke, self stabbing, shows that this man only knows how to destruct, himself and people around him. JXN is his redemption and he is JXN’s too. For me, this grey character is very very well written.

Dropped at episode 27 and recently continue to watch again from where I left off. So thing gets more interesting now but Yuan Qi is still pathetic. 😅
Hongyi and Yanshuang are so cute together, they are the little joy for me while watching this drama.

Yes you are right. Be it a green or red flag character, they will need good acting skill to portray the character they are playing. Sometimes it really depends on how the character was written. My personal favourite is of course a grey ML but I don't mind a good and funny green flag like BJT in Destined, a pure and righteous man like WXY in SOKP. But not a doormat like DW's character in LYF, I've not read the book before so I don't know if it's because of his poor portrayal or the character was written like that.

XY recognized FFB as xiang liu at the very first sight. But when Jing met FFB, he has no reaction, and doesnt recognize him. It’s weird. So does FFB and XL look a like? Or it was just dengwei’s bad acting. lol
If FFB and XL does not look alike, and their vibe is totally different, how is XY so sure he is XL? She asked him more than 1 time.

Joseph Zeng doesnt look that much inferior compare to LYT and DW. His acting is definitely better than DW. But Joseph has a very green flag look, that's why I find his character are usually quite boring. LOL. If DW is playing a villain, or a morally grey character here, this could be his breakthrough drama. Because he is really bad in playing green flag character. hahaha.

Is the ML a morally grey character? He gives me that vibe. I need Deng Wei to be bad boy. I'm tire of seeing him as green flag guy.

I just reached episode 15. This is very different from the usual xianxia stuff that I'd watched. It's so down to earth that at times I forgot that this is xianxia. It felt like a xianxia slice of life. I think it's closer to xuanhuan. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And question, does XL ever show his nine heads form? LOL

She is not actually a woman?? But YSQ found out she's a woman in their first encounter. And XL has always know/suspect she's a woman. I don't really understand that part, so she changed her gender, physically? Then it's BL for the first part of the drama. LOL
