Yes that’s what I was thinking the same. The description gave false advertising. Now people want to tell others how to feel. This is a discussion board and there will be mixed opinions and reviews. If one finds this drama after 30+ episodes still entertaining that’s fine that’s their right. But to get upset with fans who did come for just Neo, or another actor or just the drama and after watching from day one and seeing the obvious shift. You can’t expect them to remain singing the Sam tune as others? That’s why humans are interesting little creatures. We each have our own preferences in a unique way. Which is why I hope once this drama ends no matter the ending everyone who liked it or didn’t can continue to voice so without any lashback. There’s a few other dramas like this also. The one I mentioned with seven tan is my favorite and on IqYI.

Same I doubt it. He generally listens to his fans so I know he won’t take this up. I gotta say his last dramas this and TUCS really cut his scenes a lot. Understandbly for TUCS as he was second billed but even still he was main male lead yet barely seen. anyways let this nightmare be over soon.

Right it’s so unbelievable at this point and people will eat it up and say “it’s female centric” but like I keep saying Mudan in flourished peony was female centric the best in my opinion. Yet, when she needed the Ml he sometimes would come help an other times he won’t. I remember this one scene when her friend ex husband came and ruined their starting up small business with lies. The crowd demanded money back and tore up her little small shop in her backyard home. She went inside to get the money and the Ml was watching her from outside. She She cut her hand and the money fell. She was broken but sh cleared the ash off the candle 🕯️ and wrote something else. Starred out and told her dead mother something. She wiped her tears. Got up and smiled and walked back out with a brave face and even demanded money be taken from those who were rudely. The Ml smiled. His aunt even asked him one time “why don’t you help her?” his reply “she doesn’t need my help. she’s not as weak as you think.” she isn’t. Both female and male were on equal footing I had wanted this an even praised this drama as such in the beginning I regret that now. Instead we got Rongshao with her “Find out on the next episode of dragon ball Z” antics 😭😭😭

I agree it’s definitely sad. Which at times I can’t fully support them because of how badly he handles them an their works. Those two dramas you mentioned definitely were good and honestly netizens are saying he wanted this drama to be like flourished peony / in the name of blossom and other female centric dramas that took over last year. However, this drama is doing good it’s not without disappointments not just from some Neo fans. Everyone is kinda wondering where the storyline is heading. Some said they been dropped at ep.7 or 11 or even ep.3 It’s sad to see how many of us stayed till the very end and no real payoff has been given to us. What is the real payoff? A happy loving couple living together. The Ml a once powerful man now making tea with his managerial wife? Umm no thanks. I would’ve loved if he didn’t married into his house and instead they both got married and did what they both loved to do. But now the writing has made it where it seems they forgot how they used to tell us about the Ml character and how he loves justice an loves putting evil doers in jail etc. protecting the weak and people. Now it’s “I’ll give up everything for you.” crap. As his woman you shouldn’t want this from your soon to be husband. But I degrees it’s just annoying at this point. Ugh. Once express is out we can all put this unfortunate mess behind us. 😭😭

She’s literally doing just that leveling up every freaking time. No breaks. Even with Solo he would get his ass handed to him for him to begin a new level up. Exactly I just don’t want my favs doing business with any of his. The only one I actually thought did well was Xu Kai and Yang Zi. They’ve become such great friends since the drama. Neo has a great relationship with everyone but I know for the sake of his fans he would probably not take another script with YZ at the hems. Becuase he’s always ruining something. I know CZY is gonna be crazy wasn’t netizens boycotting the drama before it aired?

Gosh I pray YZ is just taking it to the bottle with his nonsense. He’s asking viewers to run the episodes up 20Mil and he will give a second season, two spin offs about the leads solving cases together and spin offs for the fourth sister and even the second one. I will not be able to stomach another drama involving YZ and any of his actors or actresses. If my favorites is starring with them. People want to blame Neo fans with the disappointment of his treatment in the drama but it’s not just us. Literally none fans can see his character has become a former husk of a shell. I know lots of female centric dramas and this one isn’t that. I hope to see him paired with Yang Zi, and a few other favs of mines.

Apparently the original script was changed and badly made his character become a nerf. So in a sense yes and everyone is pissed.

I second it we should all send some prayer towards Chen Zhe Yuan. If you’re a fan he has a drama with another actress from YZ camp. Wu Jin Yan whom I loved. He’s second billed but honestly he was treated unfairly from what I saw on Weibo. So I’m praying no more of my favs working with Yz characters. Thankfully YZ couldn’t touch BCE with Yang Zi and Xu Kai. That drama is originally a mother an daughter relationship novel. The Ml is barely there but they gave him a lot of screen time which was good. I hate my baby Zhao Qing is under him because I have no choice to but to watch another drama of his for her and my Bai Lu. He’s like a roach that just won’t leave 😭😭

You’re not. I literally just told someone else the reasons why I enjoyed female centric dramas from last year and years ago. Is because of how well written and realistically the characters were. Like with Mudan she got a win she would get a loss. It’s not win after win after unrealistic win. The girl doesn’t even have the ML to really depend on as she’s always “Do it yourself” unless she truly needs his help. But mostly he respects her and knows she can do anything. I loved characters like this. But what happened after ep.1 is confusing. Like I said I am calling her a freaking isekai character.

Yes run fast. Some don’t want you to leave for the mdl ratings but if you honestly can’t stomach the rest like us poor souls lol then don’t force yourself. I almost forgot that drama that’s one of my favorites. Even the empress of Ki was good. Many think most of us are just whiny females who want to see men in charge everyday. Flourished Peony has a rich merchant daughter same as here. She marries into a fallen official household. they steal her money, the husband at first doesn’t love her. the in laws are rude, etc but the female is kind, gentle, but ruthless and even more shameless she loves freaking money. She’s also realistic she goes through horrible I do mean way more horrible stuff than RSB. But she grits her teeth, smiles an moves forward. The ML is supposed to be seen as a leech of the emperor always giving him toys to play with and spending money recklessly. He’s boring rich and a high official. However, on the darker side he’s ruthless, shameless, conning and when he begins to fall in love. He doesn’t simp about it. If it looks like puppy love it’s not as bad as this here. Every character in that drama has more character depth. The romance isn’t until next season and mid way. Some hated that but now they actually thinks it’s ok as the novel is female centric only. Same as The Heir. another female centric novel coming out in drama in march I believe. If these find to your liking enjoy them. Anything that’s going to trigger you I say run 😭😭

If you’re looking for substance this ain’t it anymore. 😭 My rating was initially 10 it’s a 6.5 changed from 10 to 7.5 to now 6.5 I’m aware some of my favs are inside this drama. But sadly the writing has loss me. I came for my favs but initially but stayed because the drama at one point was good. Then it stop as if someone poured black ink on the pages and started rewriting everyone’s characters. If you’re looking for business dramas or strong female centric. Might suggest Flourished peony, In the name of blossom. It’s originally a full season but due to last years rule it had to be split into two. But it’s won many awards etc and still is currently trending on Weibo. CCTV has even brought it back on aired. Another one Story of Yanxi Palace, Sword and Barocde, Story of Kunning Palace, Story of Ming Lan, he’ll even watched the first Glory. There’s Blossoms, Blossoms of Adversity. Anything but this. If you choose to watch just be aware how bad it gets. We’re dealing with our favorite own Goku Shao Bao here. The mighty super saiyan of the Rong tea family.

I know right. I just shudder at the thought of this. This is how I felt when I heard Chen Zhe Yuan will be paired with Wu Jin Yan. Love her but I’ve already seen the mess on Weibo during filming etc and I just know what’s going to happened with that drama. 😭😭
