You get three couples in one drama and that is a steal. Each couple has their own struggles in dealing with their relationships on one level. On another level, each individual in the pairing is fighting with themselves and struggling. All of them are different but bring forth interesting conversations.

I enjoyed each couple as they were and how they developed throughout the story. This drama was nearly perfect for me with the exception that toward the end, it was getting choppy. It seems to be an underlining idea in K-Dramas that some kind of miscommunication needs to happen or our couple(s) need to forcibly part ways of their own free will for no tangible reason.

A better version of a lot of shitting office romances

The beginning of this drama does not bode well for the ML because he is intolerable HOWEVER he develops slowly throughout the drama to be a decent human. Meanwhile, FL is an outstanding truly hardworking gal and is exactly what you would expect from someone who is emotionally secure and stable. The ML actually had emotional baggage and terrible communication skills (his family dynamic with his father is proof). Just as the FL learns how to work and do the job she dreams of with all the minor hurdles, the ML (especially near the last 10 episodes) must deal with his problems. If we solely focus on this aspect, it is not bad drama. I actually would have SLIGHTLY preferred a friendship story, but oh well. Onwards...

The problem with this drama lies in a lot of the cliches that were thrown in, the bad guys, and the lack of necessary developments. There was also a scene that genuinely PISSED ME OFF because it was a chargeable offense. Many of the side characters were also one-note and interfered too much. The drama drags unnecessarily (a typical move).

What I enjoyed the most about this drama was Seven Tan's acting. There were also a lot of great lines delivered and the banter we did get from the FL & ML is cute. The reason I think this drama is better than a lot of shitty office romances is that it delivers good acting, and lines, and it doesn't brush aside the actions of the characters as nothing, especially the ML (being a not-so great boss and rude).

An episodic drama with a good amount character side-plots

The entire value of this drama is on the consistency in storytelling when it came to He Dun (our main female lead) counseling patients. Each patient dealt with many things that relate to social issues, media misuse, and how awful people's judgment/character assassinations. A lot of heavy topics are handled quite well and even take pointed moments to blame certain people (ie media outlets, netizens, victim-blaming asshats, predators) for their actions. I definitely would NOT recommend this to anyone who may be triggered by the topics. But again, the best parts of this drama game are from He Dun talking and counseling each patient. It was incredibly hard not to feel for each patient and their struggles. Their problems were also not quick fixes; they involved work and even passed seeing them we know they are still working on it. This was a really good message to have.

In terms of our characters, each one has their own mountain of personal issues they deal with. One character, Ye Jia Hui, takes a good chunk and slow burn of the character side plots right to the very end of the drama. His plotlines are arguably what has kept this drama from getting a higher rating for me. He Dun and Jing Bo Ran are a delight in chemistry and their romance plotline was a bit slow and really enjoyable as well as rewarding. Tang Li Li was a ball of energy filled with flaws that many could identify with. Each character had their pride/ego that they put up against each other but ultimately sought friendship from each other. He Dun & Tang Li Li's friendship was endearing.

If you are into healing dramas this is solid but be aware that it is not really built on our characters as much as nurtured by them. The focus is often on the patients, and we get our main characters in the backgrounds developing most of the time.

Best Gaming Related Drama (Ever)

Of all the ridiculous amount of gaming-related dramas, this one is not only top tier, it is the best. Everything was done well from the complex characters to the plot. The biggest thing I had a problem with was with the villain as it progressed later on in the drama and some other details.

The romance and friendships in this drama are definitely worth watching. The mystery layer was executed well and I must applaud the good execution of time-travel without all those crazy loopholes. In addition, this drama makes you like gaming compared to others because of how they incorporate the characters into the game and their hilarious actions which feel quite accurate. This drama also has a high rewatch value and I am interested in rewatching it again with a more critical lens.

If you want to watch this for Hyun Bin, good choice because he is captivating in this until the very end.
If you want to watch this for Ye Jin, she did a good enough job with what she had.

On to the review, this movie keep you entertained quiet well. Aside from our two leads, however, no one else is interesting or worthy of paying attention in terms of character. Going in, I assumed I would get more of a villain versus hero situation not politicians and police are all fucking corrupt deal. Everyone was literally playing into Min Tae Goo's hand that it annoyed me that they gave him redeemable qualities near the end. He is still not a good guy but when you compare him with the extremely disgusting politicians/police who put hostages lives on the line, murder as they please, and then cover it up, Min Tae Goo is a real anti-hero.

Chae Yoon could've just played a cop rather than a negotiator because when she need to check her emotions the most, she failed miserably. I mean, I guess that is one of the reasons she wanted to quit because she clearly isn't cut out for that line of work. She did the best she could though given how freaking corrupt nearly everyone was around her.

If you are looking for a semi-thriller movie, this is worth a watch.

It is an enjoyable drama about youth in college, crushes, and young love. The friendships were cute in the beginning but sort of got annoying near the end as did the behaviors of most of the characters in the drama including the main. The ending felt sort of like cutting scenes of trying to resolve everything which I don't think they needed to revolve it. Anyway, I did enjoy the drama for what it was. The main characters are unique in the genre of kdramas which is a plus. I suppose I wish they had eliminated any scenes with Jae Yi and his girl because they were boring and they weren't needed once Jae Yi was out of the picture. It would've been better to develop the friends more instead.

I am not one for high school movies/dramas because a majority are generic cliches with exaggerated characters and plots. They never felt like what high school was for me. This movie managed to capture it quiet well! I enjoyed the characters with the various relatable issues such as family problems and the serious pressure of academics. The characters were touching in a sense as they were juggling with whether to pursue their dreams versus the reality the world presents which is that dreams are nice but will not give your success in a career and money to take care of yourself. I liked the way the ended it as well. Overall, a nice feel good movie.

I do not know how I watched this and fully sat through the emotionally confusing train it was. I just...I do not really have much words. I honestly watched this for Jung So Min because I am a huge fan. I did not know what I was getting myself into when I watched it. What is more surprising, is that I did not hate it or anything...I just feel all weird inside. Take this movie as a concept movie instead of a movie movie with a beginning, middle and end. WHATEVER YOU DO. DO NOT COME INTO THIS THINKING OF ANY KIND OF ROMANCE. DO NOT EVEN ANTICIPATE IT BY EVEN AN INCH.

So here is the deal. I have read the novel, watched the drama, and now I have watched the movie. The biggest thing this movie lacked was that fact that it was a movie and it was limited to two hours. It felt patchy and disconnected. The most important thing is you didn't really get to see the development of the two characters. I loved Angelababy's portrayal of Wei Wei (far better than the drama). Jing Boran portrayal of Nai He was cool (but it was hard to get Yang Yang out of my head). All the side characters were as irrelevant as they were in the drama. Although, I did feel that Wei Wei in the movie had a better friendship with the girls in this compared to the drama from just a few scenes of them together. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING (for some) IS THAT THE KISSING SCENE WAS VERY GOOD. LIKE DAMN.
