I think so too. The one thing why I think Reunion is after bc in TOTS Zhang is still doing the 10 year promise while in Reunion that is already done. But I agree, either one works.

As far as I know, Reunion is after Tomb Of The Sea. Even if the actors look younger in Reunion. Except for that it is absolutely perfect ;)

Back when I wrote this Reunion 1 and 2 were still called The Lost Tomb 3. And Reunion is set after so that is why it is wrong here ^.^ maybe I will post an update one day :)

Apparently they were still planning on making it in the middle of 2020 with filming planned soon but if that happened in this whole situation...I don't know.
Some source I translated from Chinese did say Yang Yang is really reprising his role but Maggie Zhang might be replaced with someone else.

Does anyone know who plays A Dao (Shen Yu's lackey in the beginning, chain on his paints kinda guy) in the drama? I feel like I know him from another series but maybe I'm just imagining this?

Unfortunately it was one of the few of them where they knew they had a budget for additional seasons. So they do resolve most things they start at the beginning of the season but there are a lot of plot lines they started during the season which are still open... I recommend it if you want to check out a Chinese adventure series but not if you are sure you are never going to continue. If you think "if it's good I'll continue" it's totally watchable as a single series ;)

Some of them are closed in itself but many do have open endings. You can watch The Mystic Nine, Reunion: Sound of Providence S1 & 2 and The Lost Tomb on its own though, I think. I think those have the cleanest endings.

I think I'm one of the few people who is looking forward to the plot for this. It seems like something different than other dramas, so call me excited!

I think they are planning to add more of the bullying and what is right/wrong element into it, so I am excited for that!

I'll think about it but I think we should wait until the newest release is at least halfway done ;) But I think the idea is great, I want to do it ^.^

Yup, I watched it fully. It is out now and it does revolve around Wu Xie dealing with sickness and trying to find his long missing uncle. It focuses a lot more on the three friends, Wu Xie, Pang Zi and Qi Ling than the others.

I also do not think it will be explored much. I mean, maybe we will get a reference or a cameo in the future but I doubt it. As for the ending, I think it meant that Li Cu finally found his passion in tomb exploring too and followed Wu Xie's footsteps I guess :)
