Same here. I loved his character too - in fact that drama struck a chord the first time I watched - so nuanced and such a beautiful story. Yeah would not mind a rewatch

Yeah . Obviously she has broken up. Yeah the ML and the parents don’t know but there needs to be some trust as far as people you care about are concerned. And is them being friends such a taboo.?

To the contrary Li Xun respected and loved Zhu Yun . Never controlled her life and did not want much from her. It was always her choice to stand beside him .

Contrary to what some people have said the FL in that drama is very strong and a go getter. She is also smart and ver open minded who cravers for her identity and freedom because of the restrictions her parents have placed on her . Her parents, especially her mom , are abusive and controlling. The ML really is pitiful - all he wants to do is stand tall in life . He is very smart, kind.of a visionary but socially very awkward and life has thrown him quite a few curve balls. And their relationship plays out beautifully. The FL always brings him out of his darkness and makes him feel empowered and cherished. And the ML truly helped her find herself .

Thank you character guru. I forgot that yOU are not supposed to criticize the FL in this drama . Thank you for reminding me. She may not want to bother people but she can be a little bit better than that towards him. She did back off realizing she was not doing the right thing . She did not discuss - just informed him . And I said she was convincing herself because of that inner conflict. Go back and watch. She was again trying to convince herself that he does not love her, that it is inconvenient for him etc .
