I guess they just have to torture the FL and her family some more 😂. They can’t catch a break. I agree that what happened in ep 20 was unnecessary. They could have gotten them together smoothly and had them face everything together. But I guess the writers had other ideas

I would not blame YJL here - why would he tell her that mom forced his hand. He also wants to protect her and the mom categorically said no. And he probably does not want to go against that. The mom should have had the conversation with the daughter- not with him.
And I would not say that this couple is there yet. Even though he has made his intentions clear I don’t think she has .

I have never liked the mother from the beginning. She is a coward and has never tried to understand her daughter or support her. As for YJL’s reticence- I don’t think he and JYY are there yet and the story is set at a time when parents decision mattered I guess. I am on ep 20 as well. I can understand why he is hesitant - it’s because he does not know what she wants. He is caught between JYY and her mom. I guess he is going to give himself some space now. I wouldn’t call him a coward- it’s just that he is taking too many things into consideration rather than just ‘love’ because let’s not forget that he is on a dangerous revenge path

I don’t mind a female character with no maternal instincts, a manipulative woman etc. because they can be interesting . The ex wife thought is a downright psychopath. There is something not right in the head. I felt very sad for the ML who I felt like moved from a family where the dad abused the man to a woman who was controlling and was literally torturing him. The way she got rid of their child was just plain awful . And she was also giving him drugs . Man or woman - that is just not justified in any way. The ex-wife and the FL are polar opposites. The FL is the stronger woman and I think that is why the ML gravitates towards here slowly because she makes him feel better. The ex wife was too confident according to me in coming up with that plan.

Yeah she has severe mental illness. A narcissist with a need to control and also self destructive. Her behavior is pathological

This story is so complex and very well done. The leads have acted well as usual. And yes this is not your normal story. There is a lot to digest here! I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I found the FL to be the most complex character and very interesting . She seems to be a very empathetic. You could even see it when she was with her bisexual BF/husband

Actually the ML ‘s ex wife is a very controlling woman. Her installing those cameras to watch them was something else. And the way she walked in to the traffic while pregnant was just nuts- she was probably on something. She was also self destructive. She has even made him a drug addict. It’s just sad to watch the ML who has gone through so much in life starting with his mom being abused. I am still on ep 5 but man this drama is so complex - it’s such an amazing watch. I am binging it!

I think he already suspects in ep 4 after hearing her speak in the cop car
