Well the FL in the drama is the negative one - not the commenters . There are some of us here who did want to enjoy the drama wholeheartedly but the FL’s character arc completely turned us off . So just by saying that word ‘negativity’ you are bringing it to this forum. Weill you can stick with your rainbows, sunshine and unicorns view of this drama. Ciao!

We better not criticize the FL here on this forum - we are committing serious sacrilege. Even though she is so wrong we are all supposed to praise her . I am quitting this drama

I have merely stated an opinion from the way I see it. That is all

I think we are going in circles here, you don’t have to agree with me or see it from my perspective in my opinion, the FL is supposedly the normal person here. And she is trying to form a relationship with a mentally handicapped person who cannot emote the same as her. What is the point in getting frustrated when he does not reciprocate. Also if she feels that it is so difficult - why does she want it so badly. And honestly this whole trope about one single person curing this kind of illness is a joke. In reality it is very difficult for such relationships to survive. The FL can see hard boundaries if needed but she goes back and forth. She can say ‘No’ and date someone else. She seriously has major issues . I can’t back her just because someone says so. From what I have seen this is my opinion. Also I am done responding the same thing in different ways. Let’s stop here .

But she does push him away- and when she does she is considering only her side of things and not necessarily the effort it took for the ML to make that decision to reciprocate .

Hopefully that is what it is - I am not seeing much of it yet

Again- my take is that she is forcing him to reciprocate just by want ting stay in it and getting upset with him when he does not react the way she wants and when he pushes her away. And she knows his limitations . And when he tries to reciprocate she pushes him away. That is why I say she is emotionally unstable and a little self absorbed . I don’t think blame should come into this conversation

I don’t disagree with the fact that this is a complex relationship and very very challenging. And his emotional distance does not help and one look at Gu Yo and you know that she has her own issues to deal with , let alone trying to start a long term relationship with someone who is emotionally handicapped. This is not romance , even though some people are only looking at that aspect. Like I said the long term prospect of such a relationship is not that great unless both the ML and FL acknowledge their issues and consciously work on it to get better .

What do you mean? She is pushing him to meet her emotional needs. Everytime she is going back and forth that is exactly what she is doing. Even in a normal relationship this can be torture and with what they have going on here it is very unhealthy and the point they are missing here is that this can actually make the ML worse given his emotional issues. And no the FL is not resilient at all she is emotionally unstable

That psychiatrist does not have the doctor patient confidentiality principles . He talks about everyone to everyone . That part irritated the hell the hell out of me

Yes he is trying to take advantage of the gap in the leads’ relationship. He also sees how the FL is dissatisfied with the ML and is trying to cash in on that

Well people are oversimplifying this into a normal romance. And I just think it is . And I am not the one doing it . In fact this kind of a romance will not work long term. They both have issues to deal with . He seems to have more empathy and caring in spite of that . I might sound like a broken record but Gu Yi is not the most empathetic or understanding person especially the way she is forcing him in spite of knowing what she was getting into .

Completely agree ! She is a weak character with low self esteem

I am fed up with this drama and the story. I am putting it on hold . Can’t take this roller coaster anymore.

I am not sure about that here because his struggles are much more serious than hers since there is a handicap involved. I feel like they have been trivializing his issue too much. If they both were normal then yes fairness would make sense but the ML is not. The drama has put more emphasis on her so called struggles but we have some one with a serious problem here and they have marginalized it completely and let people assume that it is all his fault. I don’t like that.

So the FL is just going to flip flop this way through out the drama I guess . He was dealing with a lot so she slapped him and she broke up with him at the airport. Man she is tiresome. I don’t want them to get back together . This is not at all a healthy relationship.

Well the FL is always a yo- yo that is the issue and it looks like she will be one in the future episodes too. But yes the boss’ manipulation was unnecessary but I think the writers used it as a tool to create the break between the ML and FL. Honestly I am glad they did that because the FL’s constant torture of the ML was affecting me. I am so happy for this break .

Yes I read that too- that Shen Yue did not like her character arc. I mean it is nuts how can one identify with a character like that . It actually felt kind of peaceful after he left and she calmed down. Phew! She tortured him too much.
