One thing you are right about her is overprotective and is probably investing in her because he likes her and he does not want her to end up in a competing company. As I am watching I get it - he wants her to become stronger and be more of a leader who sees and understands everything that is going on around her. Maybe that is why he has thrown her into this cesspool of snakes . But he also needs to maybe give her some pointers rather than just put her down or insult her . If he wants to be a mentor he needs to be a little more direct. For some people this kind of mentoring might work but she is a simple straightforward hardworking person

Just watching . I sometimes feel the ML is too cold . It is his money invested in her company- so if the FL loses then he does. He needs to draw a thick line with that Zheng Di. Her interference and snide remarks about the FL is getting out of control. Also the FL getting fired was almost illegal-anywhere else in the world she could have sued the company. So far the FL is too naive and the ML does not really care about his investment . The FL should not have hired her former colleague - wrong move. Yes but she is smart enough to learn . Let’s see what happens. You would be surprised a lot of kids are brought up like these days. Yeah she is naive but at the same time she has this confidence and passion for what she does
