Trauma can be an irrational fear of something triggered by a bad event or something you cannot overcome making you struggle when you experience it again. His first time being filmed seems to be a very bad experience for him. Leading him to fear, panic or being overly stressed after that in front of camera/peoples when acting.

Saying that, trauma can be really serious that need help from your acquaintances or even professional. But it can also be "manageable" on your own if it's something "light" like it seems to be the case here.

Wandee Goodday check the "Light comedy bl" as my fav of currently airing. You can also check "Knock Knock, Boys!" if you want a more chaotic vibe (only 3 episodes are released yet).

On a side note, if you aren't just loving BL, "Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale" is worth to check out if it's your jam (but again, only 2 episodes are released yet). "Lovely Runner" is also really funny (but with "heavy moment" from time to time) but I'm pretty sure you should already have heard of that one.

I was kinda prepared but the final twist really was a bit... uncomfortable for me. First, even though I have saw it miles away, his "female friend" seeking for him was already stretching my limit. Like I said, I saw it coming so it wasn't that bad.

But the last one, with the daughter-mother sex scene ? I wasn't prepared for that, AT ALL. The fact that he love the mother but do it with her daughter WHILE the mother watch them ? Just because they cannot make love together (I could argue with that but it's her choice in the end, I can understand that), they are using her daughter -who clearly have romantic feeling for him- as a substitute ? And it's finally portrayed as a fulfilling experience that completely fine with them & make everyone "happy" (like in the letter, the mother saying "I hope we could the three of us live happily together in the future.") was really beyond my understanding.

No, it was too twisted for me and I think I'm pretty open minded. So yeah, except for that, it's a great movie. Maybe a bit sugarcoated but I wasn't really here for a documentary to be honest. :)

Yeah, the empty coffin is clearly a hint that he isn't dead. It's either for scamming Do Da-hae's Mother (even if I don't really see why they would do that yet) or him be enable to go back to them (Trap in the past ? Lost with amnesia ?). Then they just assumed he was dead. He will then come back after the "Time skip from Dramaland©" that always appear in the last episode.

Like Do Da Hae said, it was just a fleeting thought. Without context. I think she wasn't blaming her child for being born but the whole event that made her husband ruin their life. Or blaming the timing, making her husband be able to endlessly revisit this moment because her birth was a happy one. It's still sad but that completely human.

No love triangle.

I still like it so far except that Mix (Mick, the vampire who lost his horns) & his "mum" are really TOO much. Especially the mum. At some point, I think I would just skip anytime she appear on screen (Mix is bearable at least). :x

From what I understood, they had an idyll of 3 months because ML was recuperating for is surgery in a foreign country (probably US ?). When he was about to leave, he discovered that she wasn't his childhood friend, said that he doesn't want her to be near him never again and had a hearth attack.

After that it's a bit unclear but she stayed a bit but leave before he woke up. When he woke up he probably went to US to undergo his surgery. Meanwhile, 3 month later, FL discover she was pregnant. So they already lost contact at this point and couldn't contact him. It didn't help that she believed that he hated her to the point of not giving a damn about her.

Anyway, all of this setup was just to create the biggest misunderstanding between them so yeah, it's overdramatic and their reaction are a bit off (both of them tbh) but it's a Drama. Need to turn our brain off in those cases and don't dive to deeply. :P

Good. It was cute & the e-sport subplot was interesting. I was just a bit surprised at how unprofessional those pro-gamer were. Especially those "junglers", FL was playing pokemon with them ."Gotta catch 'em all!". Leading to some really weird behavior in what seemed to be a very serious competition.

Also, the actress playing the FL was a bit stiff or expressionless. It didn't help that her "neutral" (or "resting" ?) face had pouting lips and big open eyes. It's like she was always annoyed, bored or had no clue at why she was here. But to be honest I prefer this rookie mistake than when they overact everything.

Overall, a solid 8/10.

Ming is a obsessive lover that are only good or care to their love interest. A jerk but it's "romantic". :P

It was Tong before. Now it's Old Joe. And right now, New Joe isn't Old Joe for him yet. So why would he be nice ? If it follow the common troop with such character, he will be "healed" by his love interest aka. Old/New Joe and becoming a perfect member of society. Of course all previous behavior will be forgiven because *LOVE*. And the true bad guy (Tong ?) will be punished.

Are you sure about that ? What you describe seem to be physiognomy (physiognomonie in French) or a physiognomic (physiognomoniste) . It can also be called morphopsychology.

Did expect to trigger you this much. It's just this sentence that bothered me: "Also, I don't even want to get into the stuff about how these types of storylines make it seem like being paralyzed is the worst possible thing that can happen to anyone and that life isn’t worth living if you don't have legs.". Like I said, it's a common reaction. It's also why, mental health care is always recommended after such traumatic experience.

I don't want to play the game at "who is the most miserable" it's pointless but someone who is deaf at birth and someone who become deaf aren't in the same situation (using your example). The later is more susceptible de feel regret over losing what he always knew and being more "desperate" about it. All I'm saying -again- is that they often have those thought "Why it happened ? Why me ?". Their are like in grieve. And being to revert back to "how it was before" it's a completely natural phase to go through. It's not for nothing we always try to "fix" them when we still can. Because yes, we can't revert time back but modern medicine can do such "miracle" sometime.

And finally, I wasn't here trying to invalidate your review or even less trying to change how you view the whole drama. I don't agree like I said in the beginning but also said it's subjective and wouldn't argue about it.

More like Truck-kun, the truck of doom that could even isekai you in an parallel universe or the last novel you read. :P

I do not agree with all you said but because it's completely subjective, I wouldn't argue with any of that. Just one point bothered me: Your take with her reaction about losing her legs.

It's really common to fall into depression and worst when that happen. It's a realistic take that I witnessed many time as an hospital worker. Obviously, it isn't a permanent state and after some time & help, they can overcome it and live their life like anyone else. And they did just that. The fact the trigger was a phone call from an Idol is typical Dramaland move but nonetheless, it was represented. I'm just saying, don't minimize such traumatic event.

Lastly, of course time travel isn't real & peoples who experience that shouldn't hope to rewrite their stories but again realistically speaking IF that would happen, I'm pretty sure anyone would try to undo such experience. It's just a human thing to do.

The plot remind me of "Half of me", another shonen-ai webtoon. Anyway, I will probably skip this like I skip all Chinese "BL" Drama, not because their are bad but I know it will frustrate me to some degree making watching them not very enjoyable.

Just my 2ct here, but why go all the way to straight washing a BL story when many non-BL romance (or not) stories exist out here waiting to be adapted ? They can even make original works. Because, it's obvious some fan of the original work will be "angry" (and it didn't miss here apparently). Even regular viewer could step back because of that (they don't want to watch anything that are close to LGBT content). I don't see why they already shoot themself in the foot. :x

While I wouldn't say it's the best they produced you seem a bit harsh. The fact that we are at episode 9 out of 16, it does make sense that couples aren't together yet. If anything, Fang/Tan are the odd one to be together this fast and to be honest, he didn't feel "right" to me as they didn't have proper build up. We now know in episode 9 that they had history prior to this, so it make a little more sense but we didn't actually saw it.

For the last couple (Chain/Pun), it will be probably lack luster in the end because they needed to change the actor last minute because of IRL Drama & record again all the scene with the new actor.

And lastly, sure it isn't story heavy because it's a slice of life. If you are not familiar with this subgenre, they are all like this. Some will find them boring like you and others enjoy them. If it isn't to your liking, it's totally fair. Everyone has his own taste. But it doesn't make a show bad that you don't like it. If it was like that, all horror show would be bad because I can't stand them. You get what I mean ?

Good to pass time. I will probably not remember that show to be honest. The last episode was cute at least so I don't feel like it was a waste of time. Overall, I would still recommend it as I think it will be easier to enjoy it if you don't have to "wait" between episode like we did. 8/10

Oh no... I'm that bad. When I was young I even needed to do test to know if I didn't have prosopagnosia (face blindness) because I couldn't accurately associate name with faces. It wasn't that but I still needed some "training". So no, I really didn't see the change between scenes. ^^'

Sometime I'm really glad I'm not physionomist (Don't know if it's also a word in English like it is in French but someone who can easily remember faces/bodies or catch on little change in their face/body like you did with the hair cut) because I didn't catch the change between scene at all. :P
