In both "Ataru" and "Algernon Ni Hanataba O" there is a 'disability' similarity that I think other viewers may find interesting. Also, the main actors/characters in each drama are not only actors they are also both in the 'idol' industry; singing, dancing, concerts, acting, etc...

"Kohiya No Hitobito" and "Mayonaka no Panya-san" are made for different marketing audiences, however, they both give off the same air and are roughly in the same genre. Each show has a wonderful cast and both have a very unique story to tell!
