I just started watching this and was really looking forward to it as I am a fan of the lead actor/actress… but…
It’s a HE, people complain b/c the last few episodes were slow, the author ended the major plot points a few episodes prior, and used the last few served for closure, so the focus was less on the leads. People complain that shows always give them 5 minutes of closure but when a show does the opposite, they complain. There was also the lack of kissing scenes. Honnestly, I consider it one of the best shows I watched, don't listen and judge for yourself.
At ep 16, I may have OCD b/c all I could think about during that sad scene is " How is she going to get rid of all that paint, on her hair none the less!!"
I was trying to remember if they had one kiss, so this confirm my theory. They also abruptly cut the scene in…
Now that I think about it, feud and arsenal military academy didn't have more than one tame kiss scene either. This screen writer doesn't do kissing scene but she's still brilliant. I would still tag it as a romance since they did have a lot of intimacy, but it's still a waste of chemistry and good kissers
Amazing show but would it have killed them to have one kiss scene, having actors with the best record for kissing scene and then not using them is a crime
Ep 31 was so good! Yeli seeing all 3 people because she was so heartbroken and lonely, her brain was trying to protect her, was truly heartbreaking. MXY visceral reaction to the laughs was so well done, they did an amazing job showing his feeling of emptiness. With that said, the burning of the paper right in front of her, the divorce letter and driving her away knowing how lonely she felt, was too much, I don’t want her to trust him right away.
I really like this show’s pacing, they’re actually giving closure to the supporting characters slowly, they also took the time to close the edict storyline before fully turning to the lishan academy and the fight for the throne SL.
Dude started getting grey hair after 1 year of marriage 😅 Poor guy, if he's absent one evening, she's off burning people alive and fighting in brothels. Leave her to sleep alone? She's cutting down othe peoples' trees or spending the night with imaginary friends. Leaving for a few days? She's in jail, eating hairpins and accusing the minister of treason.
Which ep is this? I did FF some scenes, am hoping that I did not miss it.
Spoiler, episode 15: He didn't find about the dissociative disorder yet. I was talking about his look, when he saw her jogging like nothing happened the day after or when she was like "of course I'll attend her funeral, she was my grandmother!!" 😅
There was also the lack of kissing scenes.
