Yu qian and Qi Min shouldn't have so much chemistry. The "nightmares/better than never" exchange did make me laugh, both brothers are so intense and crazy.
I think he can’t help it - he’s had to be cunning and a step ahead of everyone all his life just to survive…
Yeah, I get why he's the way he is. I like flawed characters, it adds depth to a show. As long as their flaws are seen as flaws so they can have character développement; which seems to be the case here.
I don’t know how I feel about MQY scheming. In one hand, I like that he's a good schemer, but I hate that he tries to manipulate CZ so much. If one day, she doesn't believe him while he's being truthful, he can only have himself to blame.
I loved how they kinda snowballed into big cases. The scene with the survivors at the end was such a nice touch. Since I didn't think there would be any romance, what we got was satisfying.
At ep 16, I can’t stomach her father, I hate him more than the mistress. She's a vilain and doing her role but I fear they're going for a redemption arc for him or worst act as if he was a victim.
No doubt this drama is amazing and I know this deserves a rating above 8 but I am really surprised with 8.9. I…
There is a story, it’s just not makjang except for 3 episodes, the beauty of it is that it’s the characters that drive the plot and not the other way around. Most romance drama, let the drama take so much time that you wonder why they bother trying to be together, but not this one. it's not really about the kisses since it happens in the last 1/3 of the show, and short dramas would be rated higher then. It’s the intimacy and warmth that really made it standout. And they broke up like once and it lasted 1 episode
I think I’m going to stop at episode 11—the romance doesn’t feel earned. The writers were so focused on creating drama that they forgot the emotional lows need believable highs to balance them. That didn’t really happen here. I kind of understand what they see in each other, but it feels more told than shown.
