My only grip with the final arc is that they didn't have a fight. B/c the true test would've been how he acts during fights not when everything is okay.
I like how grey the characters were. I was getting tired of this trend of unrealistic green flags. I rather watch characters realise and then fix their flaws, then perfect heroes fighting bad guys and overcoming external obstacles. I usually hate misunderstandings but it didn't bother me here, because it was the result of their insecurities and not external forces.
Would it’ve killed them to add a full episode or cut a little bit of the last four, to give us a proper explanation of what happened? They explained this more in the book, but it looks like they sacrificed accuracy for the surprise element here.
I liked the contrast b/w the ML asking for their marriage to be postponed b/c he didn't want to force her, and her ex just asking for a decrea without caring about getting her approval, that's probably what he did in her previous life and that's why she never fell for him, and this proved that he didn't change.
It did feel at first that her and prince Xin’s story could be that of a tragic main couple, and I loved that they adressed the main reason why it’s not.
As ambarassing as the CP is, I think the true clown is Xi he, she honestly blieves she has no feelings for him. I would take her rejections more seriously if I didn't see the way she destroyed the other suitors hope. She has yet to lift a finger to cancel the wedding and she lets the CP get away with so much, all he has to do is smile and act clingy and she huffs and puffs while letting him
I just started watching this and was really looking forward to it as I am a fan of the lead actor/actress… but…
It’s a HE, people complain b/c the last few episodes were slow, the author ended the major plot points a few episodes prior, and used the last few served for closure, so the focus was less on the leads. People complain that shows always give them 5 minutes of closure but when a show does the opposite, they complain. There was also the lack of kissing scenes. Honnestly, I consider it one of the best shows I watched, don't listen and judge for yourself.
At ep 16, I may have OCD b/c all I could think about during that sad scene is " How is she going to get rid of all that paint, on her hair none the less!!"

Now that I think about it, feud and arsenal military academy didn't have more than one tame kiss scene either. This screen writer doesn't do kissing scene but she's still brilliant. I would still tag it as a romance since they did have a lot of intimacy, but it's still a waste of chemistry and good kissers
Amazing show but would it have killed them to have one kiss scene, having actors with the best record for kissing scene and then not using them is a crime
