My June Recommendation Drama

Watch this because of Recommendation Challenge from 10š‘®š’š’š’…š‘“š’†š’Žš’š’“š’Šš’†š’”.

The story follows Karl and Vlad. Karl is an introverted 19-year-old architecture student who is forced by his parents to move into his uncle's condominium unit before the start of his second semester in college. The move is part of a family tradition meant to teach independence. Determined to prove that he can survive on his own and escape the suffocating expectations of his family, Karl promises to cover all of his living expenses himself.

To support himself, Karl takes on various online freelance jobs. However, when one of his major clients suddenly disappears without paying, he finds himself struggling financially and unable to cover his utility bills. Already uncertain about his future, Karl's situation becomes even more complicated when his lively and confident neighbor, Vlad Austria, unexpectedly enters his life.

A misunderstanding leads Vlad's protective older sister, Judit, to believe that Karl and Vlad are dating and sharing living expenses. To prevent Judit from forcing Vlad to move back home and to help Karl with his financial troubles, Vlad proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement. The two agree to become temporary roommates and pretend to be a couple.

Although the arrangement is highly practical, the two young men could not be more different. Karl is quiet, reserved, and tidy, while Vlad is outgoing, charismatic, and messy. Their contrasting personalities lead to frequent arguments, especially over Vlad's untidy habits, which constantly frustrate Karl. However, after a heartfelt conversation with Judit, Karl begins to see the person behind Vlad's carefree exterior and starts to understand him better.

Living under the same roof forces them to spend more time together, and what begins as a simple roommate arrangement gradually develops into a genuine friendship. As the days pass, Karl and Vlad grow closer through late-night conversations, movie marathons, shared meals, and moments of vulnerability. Vlad encourages Karl to step outside his comfort zone and confront questions he has long avoided about his identity, dreams, and feelings.

At the same time, Vlad carries emotional burdens of his own, including complicated family relationships and personal insecurities that he often hides behind his cheerful personality. As they open up to one another, their friendship slowly evolves into something deeper, bringing both excitement and uncertainty.

However, as their feelings grow stronger, Karl and Vlad must confront the realities of living in a society where acceptance is not always guaranteed. Family expectations, fear of rejection, and the challenges of self-acceptance become obstacles that test the strength of their relationship.

In the end, how will their story unfold, and where will their relationship lead?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ The harsh reality of gay in Asian countries… Watching too many Thai BL I sometimes forget most Asian countries are not accepting gay/lesbian that easily… And here we can see the fear beyond Karl’s eye…
+ The uncertainty that Karl experienced… That’s so real…
+ How Judit is so protective of Vlad…

What I don’t like:
- the ending… I don’t wanna be a spoiler here but I am really hoping for a better ending… Like the possibility of 2nd season... Haha...

Overall I quite glad I’m watching this…

The story centers around Yan Ning (YN) and Shen Zhizhou (ZZ), who have been best friends for years.

Beneath their close friendship, YN has long been deeply in love with ZZ. He once promised her that when she won the prestigious Golden Deer Award, they would finally start dating. However, when the long-awaited day arrived, ZZ backed out of his promise, leaving YN heartbroken.

Unable to cope with the pain, YN decides to undergo psychotherapy in an attempt to suppress and erase her feelings for ZZ.

What Yan Ning doesn’t know is that Zhizhou actually harbors deep feelings for her, too. His sudden retreat wasn't out of cruelty, but protection; faced with his father's harsh disapproval and a direct threat to destroy Yan Ning’s rising music career, Zhizhou felt forced to back out.

But fate has other plans. Not long after, unexpectedly, YN walks into ZZ’s new celebrity dating reality show. To make matters worse, she is paired up with Gu Han, a handsome contestant who is genuinely attracted to her.

As YN and GH grow closer, ZZ finds himself consumed by jealousy. Watching their interactions forces him to confront the feelings he has been trying to hide for so long.

How will this dramatic love triangle end? Did the hypnotherapy successfully erase Yan Ning's love for Zhizhou, or will those buried feelings resurface as they are forced to interact closely on the show?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

Overall for short drama this is really good. Have a clear plot, have a clear beginning-middle-ending story. All the actor/ess not bad either… and most importantly, no annoying BGM or missing sound due to copyright issues.

So, if you have limited time to watch, this can be your choice…

Daou Pittaya and Offroad Kantapon in another drama… Sign me in… Haha…

The story follows Pheem, the youngest heir to the powerful Yossinpaisarn hospital empire. After spending years in exile following severe childhood abuse and betrayal by his own flesh and blood, Pheem returns to the fold with an icy demeanor and a calculated plan to seize absolute control of the family business. He is no longer the defenseless boy they cast aside; he is now a man determined to dismantle his family's legacy piece by piece.

During the grand opening of a major hospital project, an assassination attempt is made on Pheem’s life. He is saved by Than, a former elite police officer whose own career was destroyed after being framed by corrupt, influential figures. Impressed by Than’s abilities and unwavering instincts, Pheem hires him as his personal bodyguard.

At first, they clash constantly. Than is honest, warm, and driven by justice. Pheem is secretive, emotionally guarded, and willing to manipulate anyone to survive. His return isn’t just about power—it’s about revenge. He means to make those who hurt him pay.

As Than is pulled deeper into the toxic world of the Yossinpaisarn family, he faces lethal traps, media scandals, and more assassination attempts. But the hardest part of his job isn’t the danger—it’s Pheem himself. Cold, manipulative, and always testing limits, Pheem even stages risky situations just to test Than’s loyalty.

But as danger closes in, things begin to shift. Than starts to see the pain beneath Pheem’s cruelty—the scars no one else notices. And Pheem, for the first time, begins to rely on someone who treats him not with fear or greed, but with genuine care.

Meanwhile, secrets also begin to surface—about illegal drug trafficking hidden within the hospital business, long-buried betrayals, and the dark games each member of the Thanavej family has been playing. Power is the only rule. Trust is a weakness.

Their relationship evolves—from distrust and duty, to dependency, and finally to something deep and real. Despite the deception and constant threat, a complex romance forms between them.

Than becomes the emotional anchor, seeing past the icy exterior to the wounded soul underneath—one that has never known safety, or unconditional love. And Pheem, for all his plans, finds himself changed. His heart, once locked away, begins to feel something he can’t control.

Now, Than must decide how far he’s willing to go to protect Pheem. And Pheem must choose: continue down the path of revenge… or risk everything for the first person who ever truly stood by him.

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

I am always fond of the chemistry between Daou and Offroad. But the story overall is quite basic & honestly quite easy to forget…

Uff....

One of the messiest short dramas I’ve watched… But honestly, the "messiness" of the plot isn’t the problem here.

This is a story about Liang Chen (LC) and He Wei Xing (WX).

They first meet when WX accompanies a friend to a photoshoot audition for LC’s clothing brand. But instead of the friend, LC becomes captivated by WX—and chooses him as his model.

From there, the two gradually grow closer day by day. Problems begin to arise when LC’s fans start noticing their closeness, while the other models become jealous of WX’s sudden rise and his relationship with LC.

So, how will their relationship turn out in the end?

That’s basically the main story. However, the biggest issue with this drama on MDL is that it actually consists of two separate parts, yet they are not properly listed there.

The 1st season—8 episodes, 15–20 minutes each—is actually great. It’s clear, well-paced, and tells the full story of how LC and WX meet and fall in love. As a standalone, it works perfectly.

Then comes the 2nd season, or what I called special episodes—4 more episodes, same length. This is the one listed on MDL. And honestly? It sucks. Confusing. All over the place. Feels like random scenes without context.

I watched it first—completely lost and frustrated. Only later did I find a review by CCJM mentioning a prequel. That’s when I realized: I watched them in the wrong order.

If you don’t know about Season 1, this ā€œspecialā€ season makes no sense at all.

So overall:
* Season 1 (prequel/demo): 8⭐ — solid, heartfelt, well-told
* Special Episodes (listed on MDL): 2⭐ — messy, disjointed, underwhelming
* Averaged together, that leaves the drama with an overall score of 5⭐..

If you are planning to check this one out, make sure you track down the 8-episode version first, or you will be completely lost!

My June Recommendation movie

Watch this because recommendation challenge from š‘Øš’’š’–š’‚. Let’s talk movie….

This movie is a journey between Mara & Gali.

Mara is an aspiring architect who finds herself at a painful crossroads after failing her licensure exam. Crushed by a sense of inadequacy and feeling like a disappointment to her family, she retreats to a quiet apartment building owned by her family to pick up the pieces of her shattered confidence. Everything begins to change when she meets Gali, her quiet and mysterious new neighbor.

Wanting to communicate better with her young niece Hailey, Mara decides to learn Filipino Sign Language (FSL). Coincidentally, when she attends her classes, she discovers that the instructor is none other than Gali himself.

While the classroom introduces them, their friendship really starts when Mara accidentally locks herself out of her apartment. Stranded and frustrated in the hallway, Gali notices her predicament and steps in to help, inviting her into his space. It’s this simple, quiet moment of hospitality that completely breaks the ice between them.

Their friendship deepens further when Mara agrees to step outside her comfort zone and become Gali’s partner for an upcoming dance recital. Through their rehearsals, Gali introduces her to a completely different way of experiencing music and dance—through vibrations and movement rather than sound. At the same time, Gali finds comfort in Mara’s sincere effort to understand him, something he rarely experiences in a hearing world that often treats him with awkward pity or isolation.

But as they spend more time together, the reality of their differing worlds begins to creep in. Mara discovers Gali’s gentle personality, but also the heavy emotional walls he has built due to painful, isolating experiences in his past. At the same time, Mara is still wrestling with her own deep-seated fears of failure. Both of them struggle with their own internal anxieties and misunderstandings, forcing them to realize that love requires patience, empathy, and a genuine understanding that goes far beyond spoken words.

So, how does it all end? Will Mara and Gali be able to break through their struggles and find a way to stay together? Or will they finally break under the weight of the pressure and the barriers between them?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I love:
+ The way the director shows Gali’s world through silence and muffled sound—not for drama, but for understanding—makes him real, not just a trope.
+ The breaking point of Mara & Gali—love how it feels so real, it hurts in the way only real love can. You can feel all their insecurities, but also the love they feel for each other….

What I think will be better:
- I don’t know how to put it into words… But the way it ended, I felt like something was missing for the closing curtain…
- They never show us how Mara surprises her family about her FSL ability… It feels just the first reason for Mara to learn FSL in the first place, become useless in the end, and become just another plot to introduce FL & ML.

Overall this one amazing movie. Not another cheesy romance, but fill with something meaningful.

My May Recommendation movie

Watch this because of recommendation from š‘Øš’’š’–š’‚. Let’s discuss movie…

The story begins during a scorching summer in rural Yamagata Prefecture, where Tomoko and her classmates are stuck in a remedial math class. Desperate to escape the dull lectures, the girls volunteer to deliver lunch boxes to the school’s brass band, who are away at a baseball game supporting the team. But due to a train delay and the sweltering heat, the food spoils by the time they arrive. The entire band comes down with food poisoning—except for Takuya, the quiet reserve cymbal player who didn’t eat his box.

With an upcoming game that requires a pep band, Takuya realizes he needs musicians fast. With no other options, he blackmails Tomoko and her friends into joining—forcing them to fill in as replacements.

At first, the girls have no musical talent nor discipline. They can’t read music properly, struggle with their instruments, and treat the whole thing as a joke—or just another way to avoid remedial class. Since a full brass band needs dozens of players, Takuya decides to scale things down and turns the group into a jazz big band, assigning the girls to saxophones, trumpets, and trombones.

As rehearsals continue, the girls slowly become fascinated by jazz music. Their clumsy practices lead to many chaotic and hilarious moments—broken instruments, wrong notes, constant arguments, and embarrassing mistakes. Yet despite all the chaos, they truly enjoy it.

Just when they finally begin improving, working together and playing in harmony, the original brass band members recover and return to reclaim both their positions and instruments, leaving Tomoko and her group out in the cold.

But instead of giving up, the girls decide to form their own independent jazz band. There’s just one problem: they have no instruments. The story follows their hilarious and determined attempts to raise money, until they finally manage to buy cheap, dented, secondhand ones. Still, they face more obstacles—no proper practice space, and no formal instructor to guide them.

Over time, the group transforms. From lazy students avoiding class, they become a real jazz band. Led by the energetic and impulsive Tomoko Suzuki, they begin practicing seriously. Through music, they build strong friendships, find confidence, and discover a sense of purpose they never had before. Jazz brings excitement into their ordinary school lives—something raw, free, and entirely their own.

So, how will their journey end?
Will they manage to stay together and continue pursuing music, or will their passion eventually fade away?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ Tomoko’s passion for jazz music is really infectious, we can feel her passion.
+ Love to see the girls transform from lazy students into talented music players.

What I don’t like:
- What a BS to mastering all that instrument in that short of time.

Overall this really one interesting movie to watch…

The story follows Chi Yue (CY), a fierce and talented modern-day martial arts actress whose life is turned upside down when she suddenly transmigrates into a script. She awakens in the body of a young widow in the Li family of ancient Xikong Town. Not only is she now responsible for three stepchildren who fear and resent her because of the previous owner’s cruel behavior, but she is also surrounded by greedy relatives eager to exploit her vulnerable position and seize the family’s remaining assets. With her husband recently dead under suspicious circumstances, CY must quickly adapt to a society that offers little protection to widows, relying on her sharp wit, modern knowledge, and martial arts skills to survive.

Rather than surrendering to her circumstances, CY decides to take control of her own destiny. Using her modern knowledge and practical survival skills, she improves the family’s situation by hunting, creating braised dishes from wild game, and brewing wine to sell in town. Using simple but effective business strategies like food tastings and discounts, she slowly builds a successful winery and tavern—a growing source of income and independence.

Just as importantly, she works to rebuild her relationship with her stepchildren. Instead of ruling through fear, she shows patience, care, and genuine affection. She pays attention to each child: teaching the eldest son survival and hunting skills, encouraging the second daughter to study and value education, and gently nurturing the youngest, who gradually becomes attached to her. Slowly, their walls come down, and trust begins to grow.

Meanwhile, Ji Hong (JH) arrives in Xikong to prepare for the imperial examination. As the nephew of the village chief, he plans to stay at his uncle’s home. But Li Cui, CY’s late husband’s sister, mistakes him for a common thug and tries to use him in a scheme against CY. Instead, JH becomes intrigued by CY after witnessing how fearless and unconventional she is compared to other women in the village.

JH & CY soon became friends. Though seen as a studious scholar, JH is actually more passionate about inventions and craftsmanship than passing exams. However, due to family expectations and filial duty, he continues preparing for the imperial examination. CY is one of the first people who truly sees him—not just the role he’s forced to play—and supports his real dreams without judgment.

Over time, JH becomes CY’s closest ally. He helps her investigate the truth behind her husband’s death, supports her business, protects her during dangerous moments, and gradually builds a bond with the children.

But one question remains…. How will CY return to her original world?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

The prequel was one of the best romance dramas, balancing heartfelt romance without sacrificing the characters’ personal growth and ambitions. So now, let’s see how Ethan and Joy’s story continues…

The story picks up in the spring of 2020. Ethan travels from Hong Kong to Calgary, Canada, to reunite with Joy, who is working hard to build a life there. Deeply in love, Ethan eventually proposes to her. However, their happiness is soon disrupted when the global COVID-19 pandemic strikes, locking down borders and bringing the world to a standstill.

Ethan gets stranded in Canada. With no way back and no income, he moves in with Joy. The pressure starts building fast. His bar in Hong Kong goes bankrupt while he’s away, leaving him with nothing. He takes on low-paying, menial jobs just to survive. A year later, tragedy strikes again—he finds out his father has contracted COVID-19 back home. He rushes back, but arrives too late. His father passes away before they can say goodbye.

Overwhelmed by grief, loneliness, and financial ruin, Ethan makes a terrible mistake—he has a one-night stand. Joy finds out during a video call. Heartbroken, she breaks off the engagement. Their relationship collapses, and both are left in pain.

Three years have passed. The world slowly recovers from the pandemic. Joy is now working at a nursing care facility in Canada, fully focused on her lifelong dream: passing the exams to become a registered nurse in the United States.

One day, while picking up a friend at the airport, she unexpectedly runs into Ethan—and Jhim. They’ve both come to Canada looking for fresh opportunities. Through a series of awkward, unplanned encounters, Joy and Ethan are thrown back into each other’s lives.

In order to help Ethan secure long-term residency in Canada—and perhaps to deal with her own unresolved feelings—Joy proposes a crazy arrangement: they will live together and pretend to be common-law partners for a year. Ethan agrees.

As time passes, Joy begins to notice how much Ethan has changed. He has become more mature, humble, and selfless, even volunteering at her nursing home. Eventually, Joy learns from Jhim what Ethan truly went through during the three years they spent apart.

As they navigate their unresolved feelings, bittersweet news arrives: Joy’s application to move to the United States has finally been approved. Her dream is within reach. Heartbroken but unwilling to stand in the way of her lifelong dream again, Ethan quietly accepts the possibility that this may truly be their final goodbye.

So, what happens next?
Will Joy leave for the U.S., chasing the future she’s worked so hard for?
Or will she choose love—and stay?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ Once again, one of the best romance movies….
+ The chemistry between Alden Richards & Kathryn Bernardo is still on fire…
+ Still happy to see how close-knit the Filipino immigrant community is. Even while living far away from home, they continue to support, comfort, and stand by each other like one big family.
+ Happy with the ending… We finally really get the ending between Joy & Ethan…

Overall if you're really a romance junkie like me, this one the movie you need to watch. Haha…

Another drama by Off-Gun, of course here I am… Let’s discuss drama…

The story follows Jira, a struggling artist who feels lost, exhausted, and disconnected from the world. At his lowest point, his friend Ing suggests he visit the Burnout Bar—a quiet refuge for people worn down by life.

The bar has a simple rule: you can either sit alone or be matched with a companion by the bartender. That’s how Jira meets Pheem, a warm, gentle IT specialist who listens without judgment. Pheem quickly becomes Jira's source of comfort. Pheem turns into Jira’s ā€œsafe spaceā€ and eventually falls deeply in love with him, hoping to help him heal.

Later, Ing offers Jira a job as a dinner companion (escort). Reluctant at first, but desperate for money, Jira accepts. The job goes terribly wrong—but his bold and fiery reaction catches the attention of Koh, a wealthy yet emotionally distant businessman who happens to witness the scene.

Intrigued by Jira’s personality, Koh offers him an unusual arrangement. He wants to hire Jira—not as a lover, but as a stand-in. To attend social events, business dinners, any situation that drains him. Koh can’t face them anymore.

As they spend more time together, their purely professional relationship slowly evolves into something more personal. Both men, in their own ways, are dealing with burnout—and through each other, they begin to rediscover pieces of themselves they thought were lost.

This creates the central conflict: Jira is torn between Pheem, who offers him gentle, unconditional love, and Koh, who challenges him to reignite his passion and sense of self.

Ultimately, the story explores emotional exhaustion and the healing power of connection, showing how even the most burned-out souls can help each other find their spark again.

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ Quite different from all GMMTV dramas. This is quite heavy. But I really like it…
+ Off-Gun chemistry never disappointed us…

Don’t know if I like it or not. But the way Jira just choose Koh is kinda trigger something for me… ^^

Overall this is quite worth your time to watch…

Heard many good news about this. Finally decided to watch it.

The story follows Ding Qi (DQ), a brilliant detective at the Hua’ao City Police Department. After falling into a lake during his university years, he gains a unique supernatural ability: he can relive the same day up to five times before time finally moves forward at midnight.

These are not infinite loops—they occur unpredictably, with no fixed pattern. Each time the day resets, everyone loses their memories of previous iterations, except for a select few known as ā€œTime Cycle Perceivers.ā€

At first, DQ uses his ability in chaotic and personal ways—fighting back against bullies or gaining small advantages. But over time, instead of using the power for selfish reasons—like gambling or academic cheating—he began to change.

He gradually learns to use the first four loops to gather information, and the fifth loop to act—stepping in to stop small injustices: catching pickpockets on buses, preventing accidents, helping strangers. These early experiences, filled with confusion, trial, and moral reflection, shaped him. That ultimately led him to one decision: join the Criminal Investigation Bureau to dedicate his ability to serving the public.

The story intensifies with a case involving MOMA, a cutting-edge genetic biotechnology organization where executives begin dying under suspicious circumstances. DQ is assigned to protect the CEO, Mo Yuan Zhi (YZ).

But things take a dark turn when YZ dies in a sudden explosion.
Then—DQ wakes up.

It’s the same day.

It’s a loop day.
As DQ investigates further, he begins to suspect something terrifying: the killer might also be a Time Cycle Perceiver.

Now, it’s not just about solving the case. It’s a battle across time—where every loop brings new risks, new traps, and fewer chances to get it right.

So, how did everything turn out in the end?
Who will emerge victorious by the fifth day?

And the biggest question of all:
Who are the other Time Cycle Perceivers?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ The story is very unique, very different than any other time-loop story
+ Very intense story leave no room for bored

What I don't like:
- A little far fetch story too crazy for our imagination

Overall for you who love the time loop concept & sci-fi you gonna find this drama very interesting.

My April Recommendation movie

Watched this for my Recommendation Challenge from š‘š’“š’†š’†š’”š’‘š’Šš’“š’Šš’•1221. Long time ago I watched this movie. Let's see will my score tank or stay the same or upgrade after the 2nd watch… Haha… Let’s talk movie…

The story follows an ordinary college student, Gyeon-woo (GW), whose life changes after he meets a strange, bold, and unpredictable girl on a subway. After saving her from an embarrassing situation, GW becomes unexpectedly tied to her chaotic life.

GW is the ultimate "nice guy"—patient, slightly naive, and deeply loyal. And because of that, she starts dragging him into one unusual—and often hilarious—situation after another: making him follow bizarre rules, dragging him on odd dates, constantly testing his limits.

As their relationship grows, moments of comedy blend with touching scenes that reveal her vulnerability and his quiet devotion. Despite her harsh and ā€œsassyā€ behavior, Gyeon-woo slowly realizes that she is hiding deep emotional pain from a past love she cannot forget.

The story ultimately explores love, healing, and destiny, showing how two very different people can find their way back to each other when the time is right.

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ Sometimes old stories really leave some impression in our mind. Like this movie. Even though I’m not too remember the story, when I’ve rewatched it again, it still brings back memories from my past watch…
+ Rewatched & AI help me more understand the ending.

What I don’t like:
- Never really like how the girl treats GW, or how stupid GW is…

Overall rewatching this movie brings back some memories. But I think my score is gonna stay the same. haha…

My March Recommendation Drama

Watched this for my Recommendation Challenge from š‘š’–š’Œš’‚š’Š. Let’s talk movie…

The story centers on Zhi Nu (ZN), the son of the Imperial Astronomer of the Da Yong Kingdom. His life is shattered in a single night when his entire family is massacred by Marquis Ping Jin—because his father possessed something the Marquis was searching for from the Dongxia Kingdom. ZN is the only one who survives.

Rescued by a loyal friend of his father, he’s taken to a remote village and placed under the guidance of two masters. For ten years, he trains, not for glory—but for revenge.

Ten years later, he returns to the capital under a new identity: Zang Hai (ZH), now a master of architecture, Feng Shui and political strategy.

ZH’s main goal is to infiltrate the inner circle of his enemies—especially Marquis Ping Jin—and bring those responsible for his family’s massacre to justice. But soon, he discovers that the Marquis was not acting alone. There are two more people involved, making a total of three targets for his revenge.

Relying on his intellect rather than brute force, ZH carefully navigates the dangerous world of the imperial court, eventually rising to become the new Imperial Astronomer. Along the way, he uncovers the identities of the other culprits—except for the final one, who remains hidden in the shadows.

As ZH climbs higher, his personal vengeance begins to collide with something greater. When corrupt officials threaten to drag the nation into war, he faces a choice:
Continue down the path of hatred…
Or protect the people—and the kingdom his father once served.

Fortunately, ZH is no longer alone. Along his journey, he finds people he can trust—his allies, friends, his new ā€œfamilyā€ā€”who support him both emotionally and strategically. They help him carry the weight, soften his heart, remind him what it means to live beyond vengeance.

But just when everything seems to fall into place, betrayal strikes from an unexpected place.

So, how will it all end?
Will ZH finally achieve his revenge?
Or will the cost—of blood, of trust, of self—be too great to bear?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

What I like:
+ Xiao Zhan as usual not disappointed
+ Quite interesting story & amazing transformation, from ZH who only care about revenge, and in the end he found his ā€˜people / family’
+ How ZH differentiate between his vengeance and innocent people, especially with Zhuang Zhi Xing. I really happy they have genuine friendship & respect.

What I don’t like:
- There’re times when this can be quite brutal. Like how the way ZH hardened his heart for An Tu. It really ache my heart when I watched it...

Overall this really a good drama to be watched.

My March Recommendation movie

Watched this for my Recommendation Challenge from š‘®š’“š’–š’Žš’‘š’š š‘¾š’Šš’•š’„š’‰. Let’s talk movie…

Jin-seok moves into a new home with his family, including his idolized older brother, Yoo-seok. One rainy night, Jin-seok witnesses Yoo-seok being kidnapped by a group of men. After 19 days of silence, Yoo-seok suddenly returns home, but he has no memory of the abduction.

As the days pass, Jin-seok begins to notice strange inconsistencies in his brother’s behavior. The once-kind and perfect Yoo-seok now seems like a different person entirely. At the same time, Jin-seok starts hearing mysterious scratching sounds coming from a locked room in their new house—a room the previous owner warned them never to enter.

Plagued by auditory hallucinations and mounting paranoia, Jin-seok begins to shadow his brother, only to uncover a dark truth that challenges his own sanity and the reality of his family.

From this moment on, the story spirals into a series of psychological twists, revealing that the kidnapping and the "new" house are all part of a much larger, tragic mystery involving a forgotten past.

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.

Overall this movie really is not to my taste. At first I thought this was a horror movie, and if not for the challenge's sake, I already dropped it from the first 10-15 minutes.

Later it also bothered me with the plot twist & the ending. I really hope for something better for the ending.

But apart from all of that… This movie is a really good one. It got all the right vibe for thriller, the good acting from all the important actor/ess

If you're a fan of plot twists & a good thriller movie, you can try this…

My Feb Recommendation Challenge

Watched this for my Recommendation Challenge from š‘²š’‚š’•š’†. Let’s talk movie…

The story follows Jang Pan-su, a ruthless elite gangster who has clawed his way to the top of a powerful corporate criminal syndicate. His life revolves around expensive suits, sharp authority, and intimidation—until one accident literally throws him into a completely different existence.

One day while walking down the street, a high school student named Kim Dong-hyun falls from a building and lands directly on Pan-su. When Pan-su wakes up in the hospital, he realizes something impossible—he is now in Dong-hyun’s body.

Pan-su tries to explain—but no one believes him.

When he tries to tell anyone the truth, no one believes him. Meanwhile, his real body lies unconscious in intensive care—with no sign of waking. He attempts everything to wake Dong-hyun up—or to return his own consciousness to his body—but nothing works. With no other choice, he reluctantly returns to Dong-hyun’s home and begins living with his father.

Soon, Dong-hyun must go back to school. Unlike Pan-su, Dong-hyun is an overweight, timid teenager who is constantly bullied. But Pan-su refuses to tolerate such treatment. Using his gangster instincts and street smarts, he starts investigating the real reason behind Dong-hyun’s fall from the rooftop.

Later, he uses his fighting skills and confidence to completely transform Dong-hyun’s reputation—turning the school’s so-called ā€œloserā€ into someone no one dares to mess with.

While living as Dong-hyun, Pan-su discovers that one of his subordinates remains fiercely loyal to him. He also encounters his ex-girlfriend—now the mother of one of Dong-hyun’s classmates. Seeing her again stirs old feelings, and a question arises: could her daughter actually be his?

Meanwhile, back in the criminal world, Pan-su’s wife is making moves of her own. Pan-su’s wife is secretly plotting something dangerous—something that could destroy not only his career, but possibly his life.

So, now the question:
> How will everything turn out in the end?
> Is the girl truly his daughter?
> Will he rekindle his relationship with his ex?
> And what about his wife’s plan? Will it destroy his career—or take his life? Or will her plan fail and Pan-su win...?

And most importantly,
> Will Dong-hyun ever wake up?
> Is Dong-hyun’s consciousness really inside Pan-su’s comatose body?
> If so, will they manage to switch back?

That's pretty much the story without giving any more spoilers.

Even though Pan-su is a gangster, it doesn't mean he’s just cruel without heart. Through Dong-hyun’s eye, he finally can see something he can’t see before as Pan-su.

Quite funny but still heartfelt. We can see how Pan-su became a better man in the end…

Overall I really happy to watch this movie…

The story follows Joo In-hyeong (IH), a high school girl who has suffered a long streak of terrible luck. After losing her mother, being tricked out of her inheritance by her aunt, and enduring bullying from her peers. Now, she lives alone in a trailer, clinging to the last pieces of warmth—her memories, and the doll her mother once gave her.

Then, everything changes.

Four mysterious and strikingly handsome boys suddenly appear in her life.

Unbeknownst to her, these boys are actually her guardians, born from her deep desperation after losing her mother and her love for her doll. Each of them possesses supernatural powers.

Their powers are:
* JB (Leader): The power of ice. He can freeze objects or people in their tracks.
* Jackson: The power of fire. True to his energetic personality, he can manipulate heat and flames.
* Mark: The power of wind (air). He can create gusts of wind to move objects or form barriers.
* Youngjae: The power of gravity (strength). He can manipulate the weight of objects and exert immense physical force.

Together, they vow to shield IH from harm and help her rediscover happiness.

But complications arise when GOT, a famous idol group, enters the picture. IH has always admired them from afar—especially their leader, Junior. To her, he was untouchable. A dream. Until fate pulls them together. IH somehow becomes entangled with Junior, and slowly, IH gets closer to him. The fantasy begins to feel real.

It soon turns out that Junior and the GOT members have secrets of their own—and those secrets are closely connected to why Junior suddenly becomes interested in IH.

As IH spends more time with him, she starts to realize something important: her feelings for Junior were never truly love—just admiration, the kind every fan carries. At the same time, she begins to recognize her true feelings for JB.

But is it really that simple…?
What exactly is the secret behind the GOT members…? How are they linked to the guardians?
And will JB and IH finally get their happy ending…?

That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers. Now what I like and don't.

What I like:
+ Unique story that bring our imagination to life
+ The chemistry between the actor(ess)
+ How in the end the 4 guardians do not choose their selfish wish, but remember the first and foremost reason why they exist in this world.

What I don’t like:
- The ending… It feels like they leave something behind….

Overall for the short drama, this is really a good one…
