You're welcome
Interesting perspective. I'd like to know how you arrived there. Perhaps I'd appreciate it on a rewatch.

I've read 10 pages of reviews and this is the best, and it's not close. Thanks for this; it really helped me get…

Review Mr. Queen
I think what you’re missing is the King’s perspective. The show spent 19 episodes showing how the king was…
A long overdue response since I haven't been here in a while but I'll assume you'll see it anyway so here goes...

I concede that the king fell for BH but only in part. Like I argued, the emotion, drive and choices that made BH the person he turned out to be which attracted the king to BH was all from SY. If SY had no influence on BH (for eg, like what happens in Oh My Ghost), whatever possibility that the king would have still fallen for BH would have died instantly because the kind of person BH was is not the kind the king will fall for.

Like I said, I'm trying to look at it from the writer's perspective. Not too much the characters' perspective. Those will lead to a different kind of analysis and hence different kinds of conclusions. But, in my opinion, from the writer's opinion, the king fell for what happens to be a some kind of amalgamation of BH and SY. BH returns to modern Seoul with a bit of SY in him. And SY takes back control with a bit of BH in her...which is why she can swear even though it is not something she used to do.

Maybe my original title calling it a perfect ending is overreaching but I still do think it's pretty close.
