In the novel, they even took showers together, plus I think they have many firsts of each other, plus as you can…
Exactly! Some fans just pick a favorite and ignore all their flaws, while tearing down others for the same behavior.
It really skews the whole discussion and makes the story feel more one-sided than it actually is.

And did you watch today’s episode? What’s your opinion on it?

I actually found the episode quite good. The breakup scene was really well done with solid buildup.
Chi Cheng finally used his words and gave Wang Shuo the closure he desperately needed.
I just hope Wang Shuo moves on, gets help, and stays away from all these toxic people. They’ll only worsen his condition. He deserves to find someone who genuinely understands and loves him.

Now let’s see how things go between Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng. I hope they resolve their conflict soon.

Wow, this episode was so good! Chi Cheng finally used his words and gave Wang Shuo the closure he needed.
I really hope Wang Shuo can now move on, get the medical help he deserves, and eventually find someone who genuinely understands and loves him.
And I also hope things continue to improve between Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei.
From the preview, it looks like next week's episode will be a bit depressing too hopefully, they resolve the conflict soon.

Ah, got it. That explains the gap.
They both had plenty of time, yet neither of them seemed to introspect, grow up, or seek any help.
Honestly, I wish the show or novel had explored those missing years more it would've added so much depth to both characters.
Still, thanks for clearing that up!

Let’s see how things turn out in today’s episode.
If you look at the show purely as entertainment, it’s engaging but the way some characters are constantly babied while others are unfairly villainized is honestly frustrating and exhausting.

Right, he had all the resources but couldn’t do anything better.
People act like he’s a victim, but he created most of the problems himself.
To me, he seems more like an emotionally immature and stubborn person than a misunderstood one.
Him getting a clean chit just doesn’t sit right with me.

Considering WSW initially approached CC with less than honorable--no let's be real--his intentions were down right…
Because the actor who played Wang Zhen is a new actor and doesn't have an MDL page yet.

None are angels obviouse and i think ppl forgot that CC is no green flag, but was tamed while with WSW. Might…
I completely agree with you.
Everyone in this series is a major red flag in their own way, but somehow, some of them are adored and sympathized with, while others are painted as complete villains, even though none of them are actually good people.

I have one question.
In the show, it is revealed what Chi Cheng did during the six years after Wang Shuo left but what did Wang Shuo do during those years?

Yes, exactly. And from what we’ve seen in the series, Chi Cheng does come off as rude and distant from his family, but the reasons behind that still aren’t entirely clear.

People keep claiming he’s like this because of a toxic or abusive family environment, and that Wang Shuo should be able to understand and empathize with that. They often bring up the "snake theft" incident as proof of his father being cruel, but honestly, what I saw was a 28-year-old man wasting time, wasting his life, avoiding responsibilities, and messing around, and a father trying to push him to grow up and learn the family business. That’s not abuse; that’s frustration from a parent who wants his adult son to pull his life together.

And also, it’s not like Chi Cheng’s father sold or harmed the snakes. The ones that died were a result of their reckless scheme to steal them back. That wasn’t the father’s fault.

Meanwhile, these same people completely ignore Wang Shuo’s mental illness, Chi Cheng’s treatment of him, and even how Wang Zhen, Wang Shuo’s own brother, treats him so coldly. It’s a huge double standard.

Chi Cheng may be going through a lot emotionally, but honestly, more than 70 percent of his problems could be resolved if he just communicated honestly, took accountability, and showed a little emotional maturity.

I'm tired of the constant hate and villainization of Wang Shuo, while Chi Cheng gets a clean chit and is sympathized with even though both of them have shown toxic behavior.

Maybe I’m reaching at this point or just too emotionally invested in the show, but this is honestly the first time I’ve gotten so worked up over fictional characters and a story.

Wang Zheng's behaviour will only make Wang Shou's issues worse.

What the fuck. The more I learn about Chi Cheng’s past, the more I dislike him.
At the beginning of the series, I was indifferent toward him. Later, I even started to like his character and his relationship with Wu Suo Wei.
But after finding out more details about his past and the way he treated Wang Shuo, I honestly can’t stand him anymore. And his current behavior is just as frustrating.

They portray Wang Shuo as the “crazy ex,” but he has every right to be that way. Chi Cheng basically drove him there.
I might not agree with all of Wang Shuo’s actions, but at least they have reasons behind them. His mental health issues only made things worse, but they weren’t baseless they were triggered by the people around him.

Chi Cheng doesn’t even respect Wang Shuo enough to give him proper closure, and that just adds fuel to the fire.
It’s only going to make things worse for everyone involved and give Wang Shuo even more emotional ammo to interfere in Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei’s relationship.

I feel so much pity for Wang Shuo at this point the way his brother treats him, even knowing about his mental health, is heartbreaking.
That’s not how you support someone dealing with psychological issues.
His brother is only going to push him further into darkness.
Wang Shuo may have done wrong things, but he was wronged by so many people first.

I still don’t get how Chi Cheng gets a free pass from people.
Everyone in this series is messy and a walking red flag, but Chi Cheng is the worst of them all — the root cause of all the problems.

I get why you feel that way, but I don’t think it’s that simple.Chi Cheng couldn’t give Wang Shuo closure…
Honestly, I see everything happening to Chi Cheng, both then and even now, as the result of his own choices. And to be honest, he still comes across as emotionally immature to me.

WS didn't give CC the same courtesy and had the man confused for six years on how he lost his boyfriend and best…
Honestly, I don’t agree at all and I don’t even want to.
Chi Cheng had every chance to communicate but chose silence, and that silence caused real damage.
Whatever Wang Shuo did, it came from a place of pain and emotional instability.
Chi Cheng never showed an ounce of maturity, neither in the past nor now and that makes a huge difference to me.

Also, Chi Cheng made Wang Shuo feel like a third wheel in his own relationship.
From the flashbacks shown in past episodes, it’s clear he never gave Wang Shuo the respect a boyfriend deserves.
Yes, Wang Shuo is emotionally unstable, but his so-called ‘craziness’ was triggered by Chi Cheng.
His mental health issues only made everything more complicated but they didn’t come out of nowhere.

And about the closure by refusing to give it, Chi Cheng is only making things worse for everyone involved.
He’s giving Wang Shuo even more emotional fuel to interfere with his relationship with Wei.
In the end, Chi Cheng just comes off as an emotionally clueless idiot, and he has absolutely no sympathy from me.
Everyone in this series is messy and a walking red flag, but Chi Cheng is honestly the worst of them all.

He's not the root. But why he didn't say it, I don't know.
Well, he is. All the problems lead back to him.
If he had shown even an ounce of maturity in the past or even now, things would be a lot better.
I have no sympathy for him. Everything is a consequence of his own actions.

But yeah, two people can have different opinions, and this is my opinion.
Peace 🤞

Why can't Chi Cheng just say those words and give Wang Shuo the damn closure?
Chi Cheng is the root cause of all the problems.

Edit : Everything happening to him now and even in the past is simply the consequence of his own choices. And even now, he still comes off as emotionally immature to me.

Chi Cheng had every chance to communicate but chose silence, and that silence caused real damage. Whatever Wang Shuo did, it came from a place of pain and emotional instability. Chi Cheng, on the other hand, never showed an ounce of maturity, neither in the past nor now, and that makes a huge difference in how I see both of them.

He made Wang Shuo feel like a third wheel in his own relationship. The flashbacks shown in past episodes make it clear that Chi Cheng never gave Wang Shuo the respect a boyfriend deserves. Yes, Wang Shuo is emotionally unstable, but that "craziness" was triggered by Chi Cheng. His mental health issues only made things more complicated, but they didn’t come out of nowhere.

And about the closure by refusing to give it, Chi Cheng is only making things worse for everyone involved. He is giving Wang Shuo even more emotional fuel to interfere in his relationship with Wei. Not speaking may feel like a power move, but in reality, it is just emotional cowardice.

In the end, Chi Cheng comes off as an emotionally clueless idiot. I have zero sympathy for him. Everyone in this series is messy and a walking red flag, but Chi Cheng? He is honestly the worst of them all.

That said, people under my comment are free to agree or disagree. You are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to mine.

Peace 🤞

Some parts of the scripts doesn't even make it to the shooting of a scene either. Things evolve and change, it…

Thanks for replying!
I would have also loved to watch the piano scene.
I didn’t know the university troupe was also part of the story.
Since the scene is already filmed, I really hope we can get to see it somehow.

The novel is craziness. There are parts I REALLY REALLY hope they don't put in because it's a huge whatthefuckery.…
What the hell? After reading the last part, I hope they don’t include it in the series.

Where can I watch that 10 minute long trailer? It used to be on YouTube, but it's no longer there. I found some links on Dailymotion, but they're not available in my region.
