Although I wished to get more information about Jade and Jays past (like what has happened to their parents etc) the series gave us nonetheless hints why their dynamic is how it is now. But you have to watch carefully.

And regarding Dunk:
I think Style was an iconic role for him, perhaps a bit similar to Pond as Khun Thee. Some roles fit better for an actor than other. That's normal. If you argumentate like that each actor who has won a price must win this price for every role he plays afterwards...
I wouldn't say Dunk is one of the greatest actors but i my opinion he portrays Kamin well. Kamin is a reserved and stiff character 🤷🏻‍♀️

Im this series i wouldn't say that the main problem is the acting. And i wouldn't even call this series bad. I really enjoy it although the series isn't perfect.
I don't think that everything must be perfect all the time and wouldn't say that JoongDunks performance here is "Oscar worthy" but I think they are doing well with the script and the characters they were given.
The main point why this series doesn't work well are the writing and editing and some directing choices in my opinion.

But you have seen their progression in acting during their previous series and here are definitely some errors or unusual cuts and edits.

I agree with you in many points. Especially in the wish to have more depth in the characters! Personally I like that it isn't the typical slow burn and it really happens that you get quickly feelings for someone but yes, with more character depths their relationship could have been better developed

Hello my dears 💜
I’m sorry that I’m a little late again for my review of episode 9 but here it is finally ^^ I’m sad because the end is near. Only one episode left and even if this series wasn’t a masterpiece I really like it and I was looking forward to each new episode. 😊
But now lets take a look at episode 9!
After being a bit disappointed last episode, this episode was better again and I really enjoyed it 💜

What I liked 💜
- Jade is ready to gave up everything for Kamin. First he gave him his gun to be sure that Kamin is still save and when he recognized that the loss of Kamins badge bothers him so much, Jade gave Kamin his badge with the cute little photo-adaptation of Kamin🥰
- Normally I’m not so into all those cheesy lines but here it’s somehow kind of cute😅
- Joong/Jade blushing all the time when they flirt 😍
- The reserved and orders following Kamin starts to stretch the rules when he breaks in Tonklas dorm 😁
- Jade and Kamin confirm several times that they belong to each other (f.ex. they write it on the badge or they say it during the pool scene)💜
- Jade and Kamin calling each other by their Nicknames💜
- The little teasing of Doctor Tankhun after listening to the lovey-dovey phone-call of JadeKamin😁
- Sing plays the psychotic murderer so well! (And somehow it’s interesting that the first appearance of the next GMMTV ship SingChimon is a scene where Sing holds a gun at Chimons head and wants to kill him😅)

The Pool-Scene💧
- At first I was so disappointed when there didn’t happen something “special” during the pool scene at the beginning because Dunk told us in an interview to look forward to this scene but fortunately the continued the first scene at the end 😍
- Finally we got a proper kiss without a cut! 😘I got so many butterflies🦋 and even Joong and Dunk said in their reaction that they kissed beautifully 💋
- I loved how Kamin started the kiss than backed off when Jade wanted more but Jade grabbed Kamins neck and pulled him back to him for the next kiss. 😍 Their kiss was sensual but also passionate! 🥰
- Normally I’m more biased by Joong but damn! Look at Dunks face when they interrupt the kiss! 😍His eyes half closed and his mimic was so aroused and his look so sexy! 🥵🔥
- Actually I don’t like kisses with open eyes. But normally it’s only Dunk who left his eyes open during their kisses but now it was the first time where I see Joong and Dunk both kissing with eyes open and somehow this felt so much more intimate!💜 Imagine Joong looking in Dunks eyes while their lips are touching each other ~🔥🔥🔥
- Background information: Joong said they had to shoot this scene for several hours because his tattoo always washed away and the had to redo it for 40-50minutes several times 🙈

What I didn’t like😒
- I really don’t like the boss of Jade and Kamin. He is such a racist and even hurried to push Kamin far away from his unit🤬
- Again they gave us only such a short episode of only 42 minutes… 😩
- Kamins “I love you, Jade” in the car at the end of the episodes sounds like a last goodbye 😖I’m relieved that we see in the preview that they will both survive! I panicked for a short moment😰

Place for improvement☝🏻
- What they didn’t investigate during the last 8 episodes they found out within a few minutes in this episode 😅 Unfortunately series often tend to drag some plotlines during the whole series and then in the final episode (or here one before the final episode) they besiege us with many informations at once...
- Puth resigned suddenly but left so many evidences like the couple photo of him and Puifai and his notebook with all the plans for the different murders. 🤔 This felt a bit poor and too obvious like the author wanted to wrap it up quickly...

The murder case🔪
- So the murderer disguised as technician and installed the cameras to watch secretly whom the kids choose in their dare letters
- So I was right from the start that Puifai isn’t dead!
- And the doctor got suspicious during the last two episodes too! So this reveal of the mask wasn’t as surprising for me.
- BUT: I haven’t thought about Puth and Puifai being a couple! 😮 I think their relationship is still suspicious. Since when were they together? Even before she was together with Champ? Or after her abortion? And how did they meet?
- Why is Jay the last one left from the avengers? Is he the worst of them all? What did he do?
- And I was right thinking that Jay has to choose between Champ and Cherreen. But has he also a Truth choice?
- And in the end, everyone died until now even if they admitted their crimes or chose the next death…So will Kamin and Jade be able to save Jay, and also Cherreen and Champ?
- How will Kamin save the kids? And will Jade be there right on time? In the preview we saw the house exploding. Who will survive this except obviously Jade and Kamin?
- How will Jade and Kamin react when they see that Puifai is still alive? Right now they think that Puth has stolen her corpse.
- What has happened to the female doctor who was actually meant to substitute Jay doctor? Was she kidnapped or killed by Puth too?
- I still wonder if the different masks have some meaning

I think there are still enough open questions which left me at the edge of my seat! I want to know more about the motive, about the background story!

Other open questions❓
- How is the drug case connected to the murder case? Yes, Puth worked in the hospital where the chemicals were stolen which are stored in a room which was rent by him, so he is somehow involved. But what has Tonklas dorm to do with it? And what have the drugs to do with Puifai?
- I really wished to learn more about Jay and Jades background. Why do they live together alone? What has happened to their parents? And why seems Jade so unbothered about Jay being the target of the killer? Or is it only bad writing?
- And what has happened with the bitcoin transfers from Champs bank account. Was it actually Puifai who transferred the same amount of money to set the police on the wrong track by leading them to Champ?
- Has Puifais treatment for her depression something to do with the case? Is it the reason how she got to know Puth?


Only one episode left and I will miss my weekly dose of cute JadeKamin moments on the one hand and the thoughts and guessing about the murder case! 😥
I hope everyone is fine and because the snow is finally melting here and I’m really looking forward to spring I will give some flowers for you this time 🌷⚘🌻🌺🏵

And there are some more unsolved questions lile f.ex.: why did they choose Jay as the last one to receive the letter? What did he do to Puifai? And why was she still with Champ even though she was actually together with Puth? Etc.

I think that is also one big problem of the series. Many of us have watched the pilot film which was much more darker and gave us high expectations, so the height to fall is very high when the series can't reach them even if the series isn't bad at all, but the disappointment let it feel worse than it actually is

Yes, it's really sad to see so many hate comments here and I ask myself too why people continue watching the show and on top of that come back here again to write that they don't like it at all! But why are they watching it then? If I don't like a show I stop it after a few episodes because my time is precious.
That doesn't mean that you can't critizise a series but why come back after each episode to write the same?

I try to tell myself "don't feed the trolls" but sometimes it's really difficult to stay calm when you read some comments here 🙈

I don't say that you can't citizise the series! I just say that you should look at the choice of you words by doing it.
For example: i have never said that the show is bad, i like it but it has some flaws and there are parts of the show i didn't like. But that doesn't mean i condemn the whole show as bad. There is not only black and white.

And most of all I think it isn't very respectful when people here literally say "Dunks acting is shit". That's rude! You can say that he has to improve, yes but downgrade his acting like shit isn't very nice and polite.
And especially the false rumors about Dunks rich family are inadequate in my opinion if there are no real evidence for that!

Hahaha yes I also expected more from Kamins background story like the one who died in his last case was his ex or his father who also died. And I wished to get a longer flashback. Your suggestions for his "ex" are great 😆🤭

What the hell is going on here? By reading the last few comments since yesterday I have the feeling that suddenly some people are only here for hate bashing! Yes, this series might not be a masterpiece and has lots of flaws! Yes, Dunk might not be the best actor in the world. Yes, the focus of Gmmtv more on romance than the case might disappoint some fans who have expected something else.
But this is not a reason that you are allowed to critizise inadequately! Use constructive criticism and appreciate the effort of the actors instead of hating them and spreading false rumors like Dunks family has bought his place in Gmmtv because they are rich! You have no evidence for that and this is slander!

Aaaah, suddenly it came to my mind that perhaps the murder is NOT Puth! He could have made everything so much easier when he said that there was ketamine in Fais body. Now Kamin and Jade got suspicious!

And the commander is sitting right next to them and seems to approve that someone is slapping another police officer >.<

Dare you to Death Ep.8

Hello my dear readers 🤗 Like every week I will write my thoughts and assumptions about the new episode and I hope you like it!

First of all I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed this week. 😕 Episode 8 felt weak and I wasn’t as hyped as in the last episodes. It reminded me a bit of the feeling I had in the first two episodes. But like always I found things that I liked nonetheless. 😊

What I liked 💜
- I really like in this series that we get every episode something new, some unexpected plottwists or the murder case turns in a way I hadn’t expected. After each episode I get some answers to my question that I’ve had before but on the other hand there are also some new, unexpected questions added, even after episode 8.
In this episode for example we have Champ who has apparently bought some drugs from Seon Jae, but is this only a coincidence and did he only buy some party drugs? But then we have suddeny Tonkla and his dorm involved and Tonkla wasn’t on my bingo card anymore as suspect after he has died some episodes ago. 😮 So why did they bring him back in the game now?
- Then I like that the next episode often continues the last episode. That’s so rare in most of the series. There is often a time jump for example to the next morning/day even if there was a kind of emotional cliffhanger in the last episode. But in DYTD we get the continuation of the scene. For example, ep. 4 started with their kiss and their direct reaction to it, ep. 7 started after their “sexy sportive night” and ep. 8 started after their hug and with the revealing of Kamins past.👍🏻
- It’s natural that now the last three avengers don’t trust each other anymore. Champ asked Jay about the letters and even Cherreen asks Champ if he would kill her if the masked murder would tell him to do it. And Champ didn’t give a clear answer as always.😏
- Actually I don’t like the fact that Jade and Kamin are fighting and that Jade is sulking but I like that they show us the problems of a relationship between a boss and his subordinate who are boyfriends.
- Some say that Kamin is so reserved and coldhearted but actually he is very mindful. Already in the first episode he invited Jade for a drink after solving their first case together because he has observed Jade in the bar that he likes to drink alcohol. And in ep 8 he came up with the boxing idea to make up with Jade when he is sulking because he knows that Jade likes to box.
- Mirin and the other police girl (Manmai?) are representing us fangirls/-boys! 🤭 Does anybody know the actress of Manmai? Actually she has a bigger role than Sammy but she isn’t listed here in MDL.🤔
- Finally we get to see or beloved Sammy without a mask 😍😆
- The “I’m worried” theme is still a red thread in the series💜
- The Unalome Talisman with the wolf 🐺 and the fox 🦊 referring to JadeKamin was so cute 🥰
- Now Kamin had to give up his badge and is suspended from the case. 🙈 How will they continue to investigate? What will happen to Cherreen and Champ? Even if the writing is bad the series still manages to maintain the suspense!👍🏻

Favourite scene 😍
- I love the little bed scene where JadeKamin are cuddling 🥰 It reminds me of the scene in Hidden Agenda when Joke talks about Oxytocin and you can see how comfortable they are with each other💜
There are some people who say that they can’t see the chemistry between JoongDunk but I see it in so many scenes! For example, when they are sitting back to back and head to head it felt so natural and relaxed too💜

Place for improvement ☝🏻
- With only 42 min it’s the shortest episode so far and I fear that the next episodes might be under 40min 😒 … And in these 42min there are the previous part, the intro, the preview and the end credits included… I feel robbed! 😤 The episodes are too short and end in a blink of an eye…😑
Someone else in the comment section already mentioned that they should have added more episodes or at least they should have made proper episodes around 50-60minutes where they could have fit in a proper investigation and deeper characters with proper dialogues (and at least one hot NC scene which is longer than a few seconds for my yearning BL heart 😩😇)
- Perhaps this is only a personal preference but I don’t like these slow-motion-kisses with nearly no lip-movement. 😕 JoongDunk have already proved that they could deliver really hot kisses in Hidden Agenda and The Heartkillers 🥵 but most of the kisses here gave me… nothing. 😕 No butterflies… just a simple lip-touching. It’s kind of sad because they could kiss with so much passion! They don’t have to eat each other like in The Heartkillers but a little bit more passion would be nice… But I think that’s a director choice again.
- Dunks new Song for the OST wasn’t honoured enough in this episode. I didn’t even recognize it during my first watch🙈
- Finally we got Kamins background story but somehow… it felt poorly. 😐 Somehow I’ve had expected more after that we were kept in suspense for such a long time. The flashback was really short and badly executed. And was it only a “general” subordinate or did Kamin have a closer relationship to Jack who has died?
- All the people who were shot in this episode (except Seon Jae) were immediately dead without a scream or twitch. 😅 It felt unnatural. They were falling like bowling pins😅
- And why did they run to catch Seon Jae without any bulletproof vests?🤦🏻‍♀️
- Like I’ve already mentioned, the chemistry between Joong and Dunk is there but every time you could really feel the sizzling in their looks or acting the directors says “Nope, that’s enough romantic feeling. Let’s move on to the next scene.” 😩
Unlike some other people here who say that there is too much romance in this series I would like to have more or better said: I like to have proper written romantic scenes with proper kisses or cuddling etc and not all the little scenes which felt cut off.

Regarding the murder case 🔪
- So Champ had to drug Cherreen and take her to a certain location. But who has drugged Champ? Was it Cherreen? And how?
- In Fais body wasn’t found any ketamine … But is she really dead? 🤨
- Because Dr. Puth reacts very suspiciously when Kamin asked him to transfer the corpse. He hesitated. It would confirm my theory right from the start that Puifai isn’t dead.☝🏻
- Another evidence would be that there were two people standing next to the broken car and the other person behind the masked one is a woman… Could it really be Dr. Puth and Fai? But how is their connection?
- Next episode Jay will finally get his Truth or Dare letter… well actually it’s a XXL “letter” written on Bed sheets covering half of the house … Does it mean that Jay is actually the biggest asshole of the whole avengers group?😳😱
- And after watching the preview we can now be pretty sure that Puth is the one wearing the mask. Some say that this has killed their suspense but even if I (might) know now who the killer is I have still no clue why he (and Puifai) did that, what’s their motive and how they are related?
- Which roles did Tonkla play? Like I’ve already mentioned his name is back in the game. Was his dorm really a drug-dealer-place? 🧐
- Did Cherreen really only received the Truth Letter or didn’t she talk about the Dare letter because it’s written there what she had to do with Jay or Champ?🧐
- What do you think? Have Cherreen and Champ to kill each other in the next episode? 😳 When it follows the previous murders, the murderer waits until both are awake again and they will die at the beginning of next episode.
- Every episode the mask gets “cuter” somehow! 😍😅 The first time the eyes were red crosses, then it went green until the cute circles last time and in the preview we see a bright white face with a big kiss-mouth 💋… Does it mean something?

Further open questions❓
- Why didn’t Commander Don intervene when Champs dad gave Kamin a slap in the face? 😡 Yes, he might be afraid of the dad but he shouldn’t allow to hurt another police officer right in front of him!😤
- Will Champs dad come back and ask for Kamins help when he founds out that Champ went missing? 😒
- What did they show us in the car behind Champs seat? I couldn’t see it clearly. Was it a weapon or something for the gas which tranquilized Champ or was it a GPS sensor?

What makes me sad 😢
- Commander Don said that a “foreign-educated” police officer doesn’t fit here. Somehow this line hit me hard. It felt a bit racist.🙁
- It’s really sad that Kamin gets punished because he sticks by his own ideology of justice and he doesn’t want to give in to powerful people.😞
- The tension after the boxing-make-up really felt like a make-up-kiss but we were robbed again and furthermore we didn’t even get the promised make-up-kiss/-sex in the evening😩
- Kamin had to hand over his CDI badge. With this he has given in their little photo-sticker in the badge too!😢

Fun fact 😆
- It’s the first episode of the entire series where we didn’t get a shirtless Joong! 😅 (only in the preview for next episode but this doesn’t really count)

Funny scenes 🤣
- The way Boom descends the stairs was somehow strange😅
- Dunk as housewife with a duster wasn’t on my bingo card for this year 🤣

I really hope that we will get stronger episodes again. Only two episodes left and let’s pray that his won’t end in a total mess!

I really feel sad for JoongDunk. First they had so many problems regarding the change of the production team and the director, then GMMTV didn’t promote the series well so that Joong had to make some BTS videos during the Qs and came up with the whole DYTD posters everywhere idea. And even now GMMTV treats JoongDunk like their unloved children. It’s the 2nd time that there were no subs added to their Reaction videos on youtube and even one week later they haven’t added the English subs for their international fans although it’s written in the thumbnail. 😡 They simply don’t care. JoongDunk really deserve better! 💜

Hmmm, for me it's not modelling and i reslly loved him as Style in THK!
I think it's great when actors try new characters. Dao and Zo were very simlar and i'm a bit disappointed that he will go back to his "university student" life in their next series. Perhaps Kamin might not be a good role for him but actually I like him here. Perhaps because it's a more mature role.

All in all I think the main problem is the bad writing, the bad cut and some director choices and not their acting.

Personally, i thinkt that the actors of Tar and Bell were the worst...
